Not many Cobalt SS/SCs near that many miles.. most of them are still under 100k. Only problems I heard of as an SS/SC owner was the added heat from the SC melting pistons (hmmm, happened to me..), but that has nothing to do with the actual SC, just GMPD's cheap choice in pistons.

Contact cement, lots of time, and lots and LOTS of patience. I picked up the material from JoAnn fabric, and I know Hancock Fabric also carries it.
-
lol I said the only parts that are painted are the SILVER pieces. The white and black are a fake leather material.

Only parts of this that are painted are the silver pieces... Sorry for the low-quality pics, they're from my phone.

Enjoyed it. Thanks.

Why thank you, gents. And I never thought of it that way, oblu. Nice outlook, I like it!

Alright, so it looks, feels, and smells like a car now! The cigarette smell from the interior is gone as far as I can tell. It's gotten its first wash (no polish or wax yet... this paint job isn't even worth of it). It's got Hawk HPS pads and NAPA Ultra Premium rotors all around, along with brand new e-brakes that are freshly adjusted. I must say, I love how it stops and feels all around now. I guess I can almost get to doing some more mods, but I have to get the washer fluid pump issue (and some other electrical issues) cleaned up first. Here are some fresh pictures after the wash, some of the old brakes, some of the new brakes and tires, and some of the rusty ol' hubs being cleaned up...

'06 Cobalt SS/SC

Medium or medium rare depending where I am.
-
Yep, I made about $900 off the deal.
-
And the Cobalt is sold.
-
haha In time, my friend.. in time.

Good call! Good news: I got confirmation that the brake pads got dropped off this morning, and I picked up the rotors and some synthetic brake fluid today too. Bad news: I was going to take everything apart last night and get it ready for install today, but one of the wheel studs needed to be drilled out (completely stripped beyond belief lug), and my dad's bits are all dull. So I got half way through, and I'm going to have to take it to the tire place up the road when I get home. Alternating the bad news into good: I think I'm going to just replace all my wheel studs. They're all pretty $h!ty.

Yeah, definitely not uncommon.

Nah, wouldn't be enough to buy a whole SRT. The full engine/trans setup can be had for $1500 or less. Plus I'd get a coilover setup, so there's $1000. And if I wanted the "true" SRT, bumpers + paint and seats would be less than $2000. A relatively nice SRT can't be had for <$8000. I can have my full coilover suspension, OEM powertrain (possibly even Stage 1 or 2), regular SRT interior, some body work, and a little more for that price.
-
OH, and FWIW, the SRT drivetrain is VERY easily swapped (and quite cheap) into any '03-05 Neon. I may be doing that in a couple years... we'll see. I'll look into the Leatherique once I get some money and some money invested into the car. I have to decide if I want SRT seats or if I want to stick with what I've got...

I'm asking $12.9k, and I've got a few offers. One person got approved and is just scraping money for the $2000 downpayment the bank wants, and the other has to look at it tonight or tomorrow (apparently his grandma is buying him a car...). The freakin' suspension is great! I bounce around on these Detroit roads in my Cobalt, and the Neon sticks dead flat on the ground. Love that rear suspension it's got.

haha Possibly true... Basically, P90X is a 90-day fitness guide. Every day you follow the routine that is on the schedule, and there are three separate phases of the schedule. Each day you're doing something different though, and it's pretty cool. The different DVDs are: Chest & Back Plyometrics Shoulders & Arms Yoga X Legs & Back Kenpo X X Stretch Ab Ripper X Cardio X Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps Back & Biceps Core Synergistics Typically on M/W/F you do Ab Ripper X in addition to whatever exercise you do that night. Sundays you have the option to rest or do Stretch X. Then, on the fourth week of every phase you have a "Recovery Week" where you do the easier ones (yoga, stretch x, core synergistics, kenpo). You have the (strongly encouraged) option of doing the nutrition guide too, which basically means watch what you eat and that's all. But I've been averaging lower calories this week (without starving myself!) and have been doing great. Like I said, my body feels it all over, and I feel it works. Google it and you'll see many people who have done it and many great before/after shots. People do it both to lose weight and to get toned/ripped. It's not much for adding mass, but it's great for the other things I mentioned!

I used FrostWire (same as LimeWire) and just downloaded each individual tape by itself. Just login and see what's available.. I'm sure they're all about the same.
-
Congrats on the 5000th! I actually just made my own spreadsheets (based on ones I found online), printed a P90X Nutrition Guide that I found online, and bit-torrented the DVDs... so I can't really comment on the quality or whatever. But my DVDs are pretty good quality considering they're free and ripped from the 'net. He is sometimes a little irritating and pompous, but he's not terrible. I usually play the DVD loud enough to know what's going on, but I turn my radio up to be just a bit louder. It helps the time go by.

Have you ever done it? If not, have you at least heard of it? I've been doing it since Monday... and damn it's awesome so far. I know I've only done three days of workouts (plus I'm watching what I eat like they suggest), but it's been great so far. My body is sore all over, and I'm getting real results. I'm really just doing this to get ripped and toned, and I think it's going to work. It's the only fitness program I've ever tried, other than lifting weights here and there... and so far I'm very impressed. I weighed myself Sunday night and the scale said 151.4 lbs. This morning I weighed in at 147.2, so that's a loss of 4.2 lbs in approximately 3.5 days, so a good 1.2 lbs per day. Plus, I can just feel that I'm gaining muscle, I'm aching all over lol. Anybody else ever tried this and gotten results?

Yeah, I really like the design of this steering wheel compared to the one in my Cobalt, though the leather on it isn't as nice and new. And, yeah, I didn't even notice the one-piece rear windows until I picked it up.. then I was looking at it and noticed that. I like it too.
