Course, if that IS the case, it is interesting, to me anyway, that the C&D writer is quick to point out that everyone seems to have missed the fact that the trademark is for the logo design, NOT the name of the car ... yet, HE fails to recognize that, in its press release, Ch#$r%*et did NOT specify that the new name is one that "isn't currently" being used in the lineup. The writer makes that statement. BUT, the press release simply states a "new name to the brand", which leaves it to be interpreted as a new name NEVER before used in the brand. Just sayin'. Same here ... ESPECIALLY since Ch#$r%*et's OWN PRESS RELEASE states it will be a NEW NAMPLATE TO THE BRAND. Translation ... it canNOT be Monte Carlo, Chevelle, Bel Air, etc., since ALL OF THOSE are OLD nameplates to the brand. PERIOD. Not my fault if you haven't believed my warnings. Ditto that. Another ditto here. My parents had a '68 Impala SS (a real one, that is), followed by a '76 MC, and an '81 MC (mine since '99). Our 1st 4-door car? A 1982 Chevette to replaced "my" '76 MC. I used to despise 4-door cars, since I am single and don't (or ever will) have kids. When I was shopping for my winter warrior, I wanted a 2-door '77-79 CC, but I ended up with the sedan. Didn't like it at first, but now, since the MC nameplate has the FWD connection, I like that my NO-FWD-connection Caprice Classic is 4-door to distinguish it from the MCs. Still, I prefer coupes..... * Hard to believe I've finished my 36 sessions of Cardiac Rehab for my 11/11/2011 open heart surgery; last session was 04/13/2012. I plan to return to the facility via their monthly fee, but I have to find a new job first. Wouldn't mind some other dreams/goals coming true, either...just sayin'.
