  1. Somewhere I have an old Audiovox phone, its so old that the most advance feature it had was that it could receive text messaging (not send). I don't really text, but i do enjoy having a camera on my photo. That way I always have a camera on my person. Never know what you'll see, and my Canon SX10 IS won't fit in my pocket. You may want to check out what Virgin Mobile has for cell phones. http://www.virginmobileusa.com/cell-phone-plans/paylo-plans.jsp
  2. There are plenty of basic entry level phones, but you'd have to research, and likely go to a store to physically check one out, to decide for yourself what is best for you.
  3. Not all cell phones or networks are created equal. If your friend gets dropped calls and poor call quality, switch networks, do som research, and buy a quality phone.
  4. I don't know how old your phone is Camino, but if its like 13 years old its probably time for a new battery. Batteries lose their ability to hold a charge over time, every battery is like that.
  5. Why when I were a lad we used the telegraph. Much superior in every way to telephones because it was older. When I use my cell I never get dropped calls. 99% of the time I get reception wherever I go. Oh and good luck making a phone call from your land line when you're anywhere but home. So what next to complain about, how car batteries are inferior to manual cranks because after 5-10 years they need to be replaced? Only if you own a piece of junk. Sort of like owning a book that was in a flood. Have fun with that. Oh yeah, and not needing to worry about the paper receipt from a part you bought two years ago which failed because the purchase record is stored in the database: priceless.
  6. Neither is a cost cut car aimed now aimed at Corolla buyers. Here's a sample: http://www.leftlanenews.com/volkswagen-jetta-first-drive-review.html You'll find pretty much the same review everywhere else. So a cheap VW that looks like an Audi without the nice interior it used to have or the IRS, a pathetic 2.0 engine and drum brakes unless unless you pony up for the more expensive car, combined with passionate things like vague and numb steering, and body roll. Even with the sport suspension. Sure maybe the GLI will cure these problems, maybe even the cheap interior, but how much do you think that'll run you? If I apply some C&G logic, I'm sure you could get an Impala for less.
  7. Like how a 16 year old Prizm has an IRS while most Jettas don't. And yes Croc, as far as I know interior surfaces don't improve with the higher trim levels save for seating surfaces.
  8. Same engine I believe with NVH improvements.
  9. Right, all it needs to be is a good car in every other aspect even if the profile isn't to everyone's taste. The Accord is no looker but its a good car in every other respect, and look how well it sells.
  10. Speaking of nice wheels, I really like the ones pictured. they're not just flat spokes of chromed metal.
  11. I'm well aware of that. Most people should be. The profile saw the least amount of changes.
  12. I'd imagine so. All further comments should be made in the official reveal thread:
  13. Then we would be waiting longer for a fully redesigned model while being stuck with the old car. I'm glad they did this rather than doing nothing, and it seems like they've done a lot to fix the old car's biggest failings.
  14. What a turnaround. I'd like to see more photo from other angles, particularly the profile, and I'm itching to see the interior, from what I can see this is not only a vast improvement over the old car, it actually looks fairly handsome.
  15. Especially since they used an old Optima, while the new Optima handily outclasses the Legacy in terms of style and attention to detail. It's very ironic that a company that has become increasingly mediocre is doing such a campaign.
  16. Yes Chrysler will be phasing out its other V6s for the PentaStar V6. The 3.3 isn't used in any cars and hasn't been since the 1997 model year. The engines the current midsize cars use are the 2.7, and 3.5 V6s, although I think the 2.7 may have been dropped. In any case the 3.6 will take their place in the new cars.
  17. Volume > length x width.
  18. IIRC the Charger will offer four interior color combinations. Nice to to know it'll more imaginative than shades of gray. Hopefully the 2011 Challenger gets some new colors as well.
  19. lol 3.3.... No, they will be powered by the new 3.6 PentaStar V6.
  20. 1 or 3.
  21. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.
  22. Pretty sure he meant 500/Taurus to new Taurus transformation.
  23. Yesterday I saw a black Intrepid R/T with a mean sounding exhaust, orange stripes and hood scoops. Pretty sweet...not a big fan of hood scoops but they didn't look too bad.
