Maybe I missed it, hah. Anyway you gotta remember it's mission is to be a cheap, fairly reliable, comfortable car. So the interior's not gonna win any awards, neither did and of Saturn's And don't forget the horrible 90's plastic control on GM cars, they looked like Fisher Price made them!

Yeah I liked the Enlave a lot, I sure hope the wood is real in that thing, just so it has a nice upscale image it deserves.

get a Shadow 2.2 Turbo, cheap, reliable, fun (I've driven one, it's got kick). 5k isn't bad at all, but you gotta know that BMWs aren't the most reibale either . Besides, if ou spend a few hundred on a Shadow or whatever, that's a quick fix to your car problem, allows you to get a job sooner and faster, thereby aloowing you to get the car you really want faster. If you can get a loan and get the BMW, then sweet, just get a job ASAP afterwards And remember: nearly 208k miles on my Shadow...it's damn reliable

That's how I plan for my cars to be. If I'm shelling out money for a new car, no matter who makes it, I'm keeping it Plus, I don't think I'd have the heart to give up a car.

I didn't like the grill the Sundance got, but at least it lasted for him. Did it doe or did he just sell it off? Mine is going wrong with only a minor leak and a bad catallitic converter (which I won't change until I absolutely need to). Also it's A/C won't turn on, probably something electrical was broken in the accident, gonna try and fix it Friday. See? It's possible to have a conversation with you, I just wish you'd be more open to more than just Domestics. They do make good cars, even if some are overrated. I prefer Domestic like you, but if a car is good then it doesn't matter who makes it.

You know, I don't care for the Avalon, and personally I can't figure out why creative loves the car. but it's his money, if he wants it then let him have it. This may be a primarily GM site, but it's for car enthusiasts of any kind, and as enthusiats, we should be open to all makes and models. Now i creatve were just loving the car just because it's a Toyota, then I'd have a problem with that, but I think he just happens to like the car. So yeah, sorry creative for questioning your love of the car, I was more curious than anything else.

Granted, I'm sure your car has a much higher handling and speed threshhold tan mine (unless it were the 2.2 Turbo), but i don't drive it like an old lady. I always go past the speed limit (10-25 mph over...just don't tell the cops). This car has handled steep hills and ough weather all it's 17 year life, and has never needed anything more than fluid for the tranny. We also have a `70 `Cuda, but it's not really road worthy righ now. and the `69 would be murder on t he wallet with gas prices where they are.

I'm glad you liked the car But since it's Buick...shouldn't it have real wood? I wis it at least had a Nav system. So do you plan to thinking about getting one? Or are you gonna wait a while for the LaCrosse Super?
-
Um...your G6 only made it to 53k miles before youneeded a new tranny? ... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA My Shadow is at almost 208,000 miles and it's go the original tranny! You brag so much abou how you think the G6 is better than every car and it already had a tranny replaced? My friend has a Corolla with 150,000 miles and the tanny is fine. Oh man, that's rich. Don't ever go telling me how great that car is again, for I will probably pass out from laughing. :rotflmao: Our old `69 Baracuda has the original tranny too.

That's too bad. You should embrace one of God's greatest gifts "(to quote a comedian whose name I forgot)

Rims on for the summer and finally got springs

It still looks repairable. My dad's Shadow got hit by a snow plow and he fixed it. Is the damage that bad? -
Then I would suggest a cheap car to get you to work so you can save to get the Bimmer. I saw a Shadow for $775 bucks, but I know you can get them cheaper. You could get a Cavalier too if you'd prefer. From personal experience I can tell you both cars are good, cheap, reliable cars. The Shadow is probably a lot cheaper, so it'd be easier to get sooner.

Maybe now people will realize that Toyota's not the bullet proof company they (and Toyota itself) thinks it is. All cars have problems, and the Camry seems to have a pretty ajor one. Has Toyota recalled it yet?
-
Always helps XD

Chrysler recalls stuff, I'll admit. but you're an idiot if you haven't seen all the recent recalls GM (and Ford) have had lately (and in the not so recent past). There's not a single car in the Current GM lineup (besides the Corvette, GTO (depending on your viewpoint) and maybe the Caddy brand excluding ths DTS) that is superior to the Chrysler Group vehicles. Don't get me started on explaining to you how and why. Until the new Saturns come out, that won't be changing. G6? maybe better than the older Stratus, but nothing cmpared to the Charger, which will eat it for breakfast. On top of this, Chrysler is recalling for a small problem.

What kinda car do you have again? Anyway I'm not sure if you have to be at least 18 to apply for a loan, I thought it was 21 myself. Butthen The only loans I've delt with are college loan My best advice would be to try looking up loan info (behold the power of google). I actually want a new car too, so my poor car can take it easy (plus I want more room and power) My goals are less loft thouh, lol. I was thinking a 1999-2004 Intrepid...or maybe a first gen Stratus. But I need money for that first lol. For now I'm happy with my Shadow though, but my family could use a second car (van's not on the road, no one wants to spend the gas money on the Barracuda).

I've yet to see an Impala Taxi. I've seen a couple Polic Cruisers, but that's it (also those were the ones before 06). Personally, I would get a 300C. It has a 340 hp V8 that trumps both the Impala and Avalon. It's RWD (or AWD if you prefer the extra winter traction). You can get HID headlights with it, Navi, 500 Watt Boston Acoustics sound system/in dash 6 disc CD changer, Leather, and more. And fully loaded the car tops out at $35,050 (according to Edmunds). That's 2k more than the Avalon..but look what you get for the money. Plus the LX cars haven't had any problems yet. And It looks awesome. Of course, in the interest of not being "childish" that's just my opinion. Just throwing that car into the mix.

Lowell Used Auto is also great because they don't check your toolboxes or pockets for any...ahem...extra items. Like for example, 2 seatbelt clips, or like 20 screws, or a relay switch. L.U.A is also great because they are one of the few places I know of that has Shadows. I called like 10 places and none of them had any (one said they crush them as soon as they get them). Their prices are usually good too. A riend of mine got a console lid for his Cavalier for like 10 bucks (or less, i forget exactly). I got a new headliner for my Shadow for 20 bucks, and my dad go a sunroof for 30.

Last night I had so much gas, I actually made my girlfriend say "Damn!" with one of them. Then she felt sad cuz min were so much bigger than hers

Hic-Hachoo-Fart is evil. I've sneezed and farted at the same time, and the force of the fart sometimes hurts my ass >.<
-
ouch, that's cheap
-
omg funny! :rotflmao: Have you noticed that even underwater farts can smell?
-
SSometimes when you fart on a metal chair it "pings" whereas onj leather it amplifies the sounds and gives it a bit of a crackle. On fabric surfaces it muffles teh sound and obsorbs it, but locks the smell in for hours Have you ever headshot someone with a fart? Or point-blank? Or a combo? haha

So there will be a next gen Vibe? That's cool, cuz I've always liked it
