Don't talk $h! about DCX (unless it's Mercedes, I don't care about that brand).

Those are pretty stupid movies.

5-speed VS 4-speed mhmm... How do you get an Escort front end out of the Sonata? Are you stoned? Accord rear end I can see, but IMO it looks like what the Accord's butt should hav been. Plus all kinds of cars use that rear end style. Pick a bunch of recently redesigned Lexus' While the restyled Malibu is an improvement over of braces whereing ones, it's still ugly everywhere else. And what proof do you have it's interior will hold up better 10k miles down the road, when we saw pictures of another GM product, the Lucerne, with a loose headliner. This is froma brand new "premium" car at an autoshow. Doesn't bode well for the budget car from Chevy.

meh, it's your debt not mine btw BMWs are historically less reliable than GM, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Toyota...

We're simply trying to explain how that Bimmer isn't the idea car for you right now. You're going o be taking out a 5k loan without any current means to pay it back, it's for a car that will be ar less than reliable, and when it breaks down, you'll blow your money in parts alone, not to mention labor costs. It's a nice car, although I'd prefer the sedan, but there's other cars out there. You know it won't be the last BMW for sale, you can always buy it once you've saved and have the actual mobey for it and fr repairs that will crop up. And don't bet on the Bimmer being more reliable than the GA. Your biggest problem is that you don't have a job right now. Which is a major setback. You should get a cheap car, get a job, get some money, then buy the Bimmer.

not a very flattering angle...

That would be cool to talk to the guy.

The exterior is bland, but it ain't ugly like the PoS Malibu, bloated like the Accord, odd looking like the new Camry, or as bland as a Ford 500. The interior is not cheap, It's got better quality materials than the Malibu and a better design. I've seen both, sat in both, the Maibu is cheap. The Sonata doesn't have a manual in V6 form, but in the midsize segment, how many buyers want a manual? Target customers for the most part don't. For those who do, get the new Altima, which is far superior to any of the mentioned cars. I like the Fusion better than all these though. Anyway, a lot of buyers, who don't want or care about a manual aren't gonna go carving the twisties. It handles fine for the segement, not class leading, but better than a LaCrosse or a malibu or a 500 (which has no manual or sport suspension option) I bet. I never said I wanted a Sonata, I'd much prefer a Caliber SRT-4, Charger, 300C, Magnum, or Challenger or Sky....or maybe the new Avenger/Sebring..those look promising. Or maybe the new Altima. Still, I will defend the car because it's a good car, and better than many of the cars in this segment. A lot of you guys who hate this thing seem baised against it just because it's from Hyundai, if the Malbu was anywhere near as good, or even if it had a Malibu badge on it, I bet you'd be singing a different tune. It's not a bad car, it's not a poorly built car, it's not at the top of the class but it's far from the bottom.

For the sake of arguing, Toyota's not producing world class cars either. Quality wise, they are very good, but world class also includes design, performance, handling, and reliability. Toyota's got reliability nailed for the most part. But design and performance wise, they are still lacking? Are they getting better? Yes and no. Designs are showing progress, but they still haven't figured out the performance part. They feel too much like appliances, and the eectrobnic nannies are so intrusive it's impossible to have any fun. That's my problem with the IS for example. Looks way better than the new 3 series inside and out, but the 3 series is such a great handling, responsive car that it's more than the sum of its parts. I know this is devating from t he Avalon topic, but yeah Also, I'm not saying GM has world class cars, cuz they don't, not y et. The new CTS may indeed be world class, if the spyshots are any idication, I would say the new GMT900s are world class by full size SUV standards, but the Impala or Lucerne? eh...not really. I like the Lucerne's exterior, and I like the Avalon's power/interior. But I'd much prefer a 300C. Out of all the aformentioned cars in, I think it'd be closest to World Class. RWS, 340 HP hemi, lots of standard and optional features, great, distinctive looks, and pretty good quality. No wonder why they still fly off the shelves. As for price...The Impala is a good buy but I think the Avalon is more upscale. Again, my choice would be the 300C, but I'm not the one buying

It's not bastardized, you can see the real window ling in the original photo, I simply took odd the fake outline and outline the real thing more clearly

That's what I call customer service. I don't care how much people bitch about Toyota, this is a fine example of how customer service should be. This is also why people don't mind the recalls Toyta has because they actually show they are sorry, and don't just half-ass the customer. Does GM do anything nearly as good as this with their recalls? Don't be stupid. As much as I dislike Toyota, I admire them for caring about the customer. This is how they retain their loyalty. Mitsubishi isn't that bad. Remember when the new Eclipse came out? They recalled it right away when they discovered a problem with it, had the ca fixed, and I believe gave the owners a rental.

Well we know the exterior is sweet, how is the interior? -

Damn, some peopel just don't understand cars. That is very sad.
-
but...you do realize BMWs break down a lot right? More often than any domestic. And they are expensive to fix. So even though you're buying it cheap, when it comes time to repair something, it'll cost ya big.

hah, funny, but i wonder what the minivan is?

yep, he's an oilman, and a jackass, and an idiot.
