  1. Some people actually aspire to a bit more performance and distinctive looks than what a Ford 500 can offer. People buy these things because they look awesome and have great performance. There's such a thing as buying a car because you happen to genuinely like it. It's not DCX's fault GM and Ford have yet to do such a thing with their large cars.
  2. You know, I heard ona talk show once, that the government should set aside a day that all illegal immigrants should have a bounty on them. That'll clear `em real fast =D
  3. :rotflmao:
  4. winner so far ^ does it have the original engine and tranny?
  5. Every now and then i pat the car as i walk past it after i get out.
  6. Update: 208k as of this afternoon
  7. The national anthem whould forever be english, and the spanish noobs should all learn our nation's language.
  8. I still do not get why wood exists in any Pontiac to begin with
  9. Today I hit 208,000 miles with my Shadow, and aside from the catallitic coverter and a broken wire that connects to the A/C switch (a result of the accident no doubt, and will be fixed tomorrow) not a thing is wrong with it
  10. Maybe you can't comprehend that the width of the van is greater than the length of my arm? Or that, since it sits higher than say, the shadow or the cudas, I can't just "bend over it" And no, the goddamn thing lies parallel to the side of the van, not across the front. See the problem now? OR ARE YOU SOME BLONDE CHICK?
  11. Yes, shame on you (us)
  12. Well you know, historically the Ram has always been #3...and as I previously mentioned...there's brand loyalty. Which means owners tend stick to that brand. Now then, when they refeshed the, did they address it's driving dynamics or lackthereof? did they address it's horrible interior that looks worse than the previous gen pickups, did they give the V8 a 5 speed? did they increase output of said V8 to match the Hemi? Nope. Only the SS if you want to call that thing"super sport" and next to the SRT-10...it's pathetic. Also. They made it uglier. I pray the GMT900 Sliverado will look better. I guess they haven't let it rot, but at the same time, they didn't do enough for it. It may sell better than the Ram, which it always has, but it's still 2nd ro the F-150, which it has been for like 20+ years (I forget exactly how many).
  13. ok tell me something. if you're on the driver's side, the prop is on the passenger's side, and the latch to release the hood is in the middle (between the driver's side and passenger's side of the car), don't you think...just maybe...through intensive studies and scientific research, that the object that lies between said prop and yourself would be closer to you and easier to access due to it's relative position? Sounds crazy, insane perhaps, maybe even defying logic,..but hey...that's just how it happened to work out. Go figure.
  14. the gray stuff isn't what killed it, it was the blobs of melted plastic that they called a dashboard that I hated (in other words: it was ugly).
  15. what a joke the Crwon vic still is. Wonder if anyone outside of fleets, taxis and police buy them anymore?
  16. They sound like weedwackers...
  17. Uh guys...he corrected his statment on the 25th Link: http://www.thecarconnection.com/Auto_News/...173.A10340.html
  18. I liked the GXP, the the generation in general was always great looking. The interior is what killed it.
  19. So how much did the engine cost? You do work fast! It took my dad a few years to get our `69 Cuda road ready. I don't even know if the 70 runs right now, but that needs a lot of work. Good luck with the new engine!
  20. There's always that million mile truck that's been using the same K & N filter. Anyway, I looked up the filter for my car (Autozone.com) and it only costs $35 bucks...which I don't think is that bad.
  21. Oh ok, my bad balthazar. Well anyway, the 300's been tested against Imports before and usually comes out at or near the top.
  22. Story time. Ok our Dodge Caravan has the prop for the ood. It was parked in teh garage for a while, between our 2 Cudas. The passenger side (the side where teh prop is) was parked so close to one of the Cudas that there was no way to go on that side and prop it. Now, the front of the van was parked right up agaisnt a bunch of other stuff (a Yamaha motorcycle, a spare 2.5 litre engine, a 3-speed auto that goes with it, and a bunch of other stuff). So there was no way to walk around the front to get at it. Now, imagine having to hold the damn heavy hood up while removing the dead battery (which includes loosening the bolts on the terminals), then leifting it out, then putting the "new" one in, and reconnecting it. Sure I had someone else to help hold it up, but this ment 2 people in about the same spot, with about a foot and a half space between the van and the other cuda. CAN YOU SEE WHERE COIL SPRINGS OR STRUTS WOULD HAVE BEEN SUPERIOR IN SUCH A SITUATION?!? So that's my story, and why I hate props, plus they cheapen the feel of the car. FYI i didn't park it there, so don't blame me.
  23. Ouch, that was low
  24. Yeah except that the 300 is domestic. Of course you'll shoot back with "well it's got an E-Class platform" to which I will retalliate: "The LX platformis simply based on the E-Class, it's not a carbon copy, Besides, look how many Ford products use Mazda and Volvo architectures...like the Montego. The Lucerne is all American sure, but it's on an OLD all American platform. ANd GM uses plenty of imported parts for their American cars. So
  25. It wasn't fear, it was time for the Ram's midcycle refresh. There's nothing wrong with being competetive. Also, the new face is only part of the story. Can't fault Dodge for keeping the Ram up to date, unlike a certain other company who has let their Silverado more or less rot until now. I agree and said the new GMT900s will no doubt pull some sales from Dodge and Ford, but it's the imports that will be hit hardest (particularly Toyota). I feel sorta bad for Nissan, unlike Toyota, they didn't half-ass their Titan, and made a REAL truck. They deserve some sales with it.
