  1. I "cheated" and borrowed them from another car and chopped them on. I wanted to do the wheels in vexel but it would have probably taken me another 4 hours. I put those wheels on at 11:53 last night! Didn't even have time to apply a filter to make them look more vexel. At least the donor lighting was in studio VS outdoors so it doesn't look too out of place, and the design is kind of like what I had originally sketched out. Mini Charger was sort of what I was going for. Not a carbon copy but with styling cues like the side sculpting and the full width tail lights. I think the new Charger's side styling translates better onto a smaller package than the old Charger's did (see Avenger).
  2. I like it. Looks very grown up and European. Aveo has a nicer looking interior but this looks nicer outside, IMO.
  3. Nice Jetta. Seriously, it's quite handsome and well proportioned, but VW really needs to try to differentiate the brands more.
  4. I was literally doing this right up until 11:57!
  5. I hope I got everything. Down to the wire here! Didn't even have time to come up with a name for it. Maybe later. While I didn't get to shade it or anything, I did sketch out a rear view. Whew! Edit: Gave it a name.
  6. There are actually very few changes if you compare it side by side (or overlay as I did) with the concept. Only the fascias and lighting elements seem to have changed. Something about the way it was photographed throws it off.
  7. Saw part of an interview with him. He's an arrogant, egotistical, and I think borderline insane douchebag of the highest caliber. The way he was talking you'd think he was stoned then and there. "I am a warlock" Alrighty then... Yeah, I've got no respect for him.
  8. Still the best:
  9. I was originally going to say that, but that's no excuse with the power of the internet. Plus I don't think it would do Fap any good.
  10. boar
  11. Looks great TJ! Mine's coming down to the wire, hopefully it'll be worth the wait.
  12. Absolutely stunning. The joke the pilot made was pretty good too.
  13. Get a better job, one actually in my field Work on paying off student loans Get a better camera. More and more I think photography is my professional calling. Get work done on both cars, a/c revamp for my car, exhaust manifold t-stat and brakes for the Prizm. Get body work done to both. Finally go to Carlisle this year
  14. The FF has an angry grin, the other just looks goofy. I would have done; First I was like, "lol" But then I srs'd
  15. The guy has problems.
  16. I've seen that. I actually think its a very good and much more efficient design for shuttling people to space. They still need a shuttle for hauling supplies and large cargo to space though. Problem with it is that it only gets into sub orbit. So it couldn't, say, doc with ISS.
  17. Not sure about GMT360s, but on cars I've dealt with swapping out door handles is a pretty straightforward process. Remove the door panel. Disconnect the latch cable and lock cable. There's usually 2 bolts, 10mm or so holding it on. Then you just maneuver it out. Inside door handles are more ticky because they're held in place with a pin, and you have to be careful not to break the plastic housing.
  18. The NASA planned replacement was canceled.
  19. Wish there was a larger version of that photo.
  20. I think it should be the other way around.
  21. Perhaps not, but then you don't need to. Just put gas in and keep going, like a normal car.
  22. Bolt pattern must be exact in order to fit, and offset should be close to avoid things like rubbing and stress on the wheel studs and suspension components. You can do some research and see what other production vehicles have the same bolt pattern and similar offset. Offsets are considerably different for FWD, RWD, and IIRC AWD/4WD wheels. If a tire is too wide it will cause rubbing along the wheel well over bumps and such. When going to a larger tire size you want to get a lower profile tire so that the overall diameter remains the same, this ensures that there is no rubbing and that the speedometer will be correct.
  23. A solemn, launch to be sure. Wish I could have been there.
