  1. That seems to be the general complaint about the Caliber, the CVT...it robs the engines of their power, even the 2.4...stick to a manual
  2. I think Charger would also have been an acceptable answer
  3. Thanks for saying what I was thinking. It's a pretty arrgoant title. Some interesting i fnot new info. I drove an old Honda motorcycle last month, it was a blast.
  4. I like the 07 Maxima, I'm glad they ditched the chrome tooth, though I wonder about the CVT since I've never been in a CVT equiped car. They shopuld keep the 6-speed tho.
  5. It;s like big chrome plates where wheels should be. Who in their sane mind would swap out the stock wheels anyway? They're great on there one. God that's hidious.
  6. Cars that are worse: Hyundai Excel
  7. March
  8. I hate people who can't follow simple road rules...like no left turn yet they turn left anyone, or some guy in a minivan that goes down teh wrong side of the road to get into McDonalds a little faster.
  9. I didn't see it but my girlfriend saw a red Magnum SRT-8 yesterday...lucky
  10. The "original" Amanti looked like a cheap, ugly knockoff of an S-Type, right down to the interior. This looks slightly less so, but this "virtually-new" car is as ugly as ever.
  11. As far as I can tell, the only thing that is GM influenced is the center stack, the tail lights, the grill, and a slightly different rear door trim around teh window. The rest is all Corolla, especially the $h!-ass transmission, clutch, broken window regulator, broken rear-view mirror, broken interior and exterior door handles, and jammed cupholders. On stupid thing GM did was put the sterior right where the cupholders are, it's not like that on the Corolla. So I blame GM's stupidity on that.
  12. I heard a 5.7 will be initially offered with a 6.1 option later. I see plenty off differences. While the overall shape is similar, the greenhouse is smaller, on the newer one, and the bumpers are body color and integrated into the body. The hood slopes a bit less on the new car, the taillight is one red bar instead of being split. There's other differences but yeah.
  13. My girlfriend's aunt likes TrailBlazers, she road in one once and thought it was a nice vehicle. Me, I hate the interior.
  14. Lately the Geo Prizm has been very slow to accelerate, and all mashing the gas does is cause the engine to make a lotta noise So here we were, last Monday, and my girlfriend and I were driving home from paying a bill. We're about a mile from home, and at a stop light. All of a sudden we both smell something burning, when the light turns green she tries to go but the car hardly moves. I tell her to pull into the nearest parking lot, and we do going like 5 mph. We pull in, I pop the hood, and there's some smoke coming from the tranny. I figure the clutch went. So in hundred+ heat we walk about halfway home until her aunt comes by and pics us up, and the car is towed to a shop. Sure enough, the clutch had gone out, and the timing belt had to be replaced too. $1200 bucks later it's fixed, but we still only have 1st, 2nd, 5th, and Reverse...it needs a new tranny still... I swear I'll never buy a Toyota, they aren't reliable for $h!!
  15. That's retarded salesmanship. The local Dodge Dealer is pretty good, and was helpful to me when I asked about the Dakota when I was doing a report last year.
  16. LONDON - British authorities said Thursday they had thwarted a terrorist plot to simultaneously blow up several aircraft heading to the U.S. using explosives smuggled in hand luggage, averting what police described as “mass murder on an unimaginable scale.” Meantime, a U.S. counterterrorism official called the plot "the real deal." Officials raised security to its highest level in Britain — suggesting a terrorist attack might be imminent — and banned hand-carried luggage on all trans-Atlantic flights. Huge crowds formed at security barriers at London’s Heathrow airport as officials searching for explosives barred nearly every form of liquid outside of baby formula. The extreme measures at one of the major international aviation hubs sent ripple effects throughout the world. Heathrow airport was closed to most flights from Europe. -- Crazy f@#king terrorists should all be turned into shark bait, thank goodness they were caught
  17. The center stack could be a lot better, and I'd perfer different wheels, but it's still a handsome car, and if the interior materials are good, then that makes it a good car.
  18. Why did GM change the Vue's interior? The Antara's looks better/more integrated, plus wouldn't cost more money to change the interior than to just leave it?
  19. Surprised? No, but nonetheless very happy to hear the official news
  20. A little quirky but not a bad looking SUV. Why can't the Equinox or Torrent, the vehicles it's based on, have a nice interior and good powertrain like that?
  21. Don't like the exterior but the interior is very nice looking
  22. Not really, I still have a couple Hot Wheels cars I got from McDonalds when I was little, a Camaro actually.
  23. Get the Frontier, I beleieve it's probably the best in it's class. Most HP, lotsa torque, good and useful interior design, lots of features in the bed and in the cabin, looks pretty good too. The Colorado is the worst truck in it's class, even for price, cuz you can probably get a Ranger cheaper...Power stucks, interior stucks, I heard build quality is bad, even the paint job isn't very good. How does the Colorado stack up against the competition? Two words: It doesn't He could consider a Dakota, thoug he'd want at least the mid-level V8 for any meaningful towing. It's styling is a bit polarizing, but in person it looks pretty good. I've sat in one, and while the plastics in the interior are hard and kinda cheap...the gauges are easy to read, the controls are logical and simple, and the seats (leather) were incredibly comfortable. Gotta watch out for price though
  24. They are made with cheap plastic, it'd be better if they were just Hot Wheels Hummers, then at least you'd getr metallic paint and shiny wheels.
