  1. You could go for an Altima V6 w/ a 6-speed
  2. Actually yes I have. For a long time, before I ever even dreamed of being able to own one, I liked this after market kit for Intrepids. I think it's actually fairly tasteful and really makes it look nice. What do you think? Although I would have nicer looking 5-spoke wheels...kinda like what you find on the Charger SRT-8 As for more juice...that would be cool. The only thing is I've never modded an engine before...so I'm not sure how I'd go about doing it. It'd be down the line though, when I have more money...however in the short term I would like to do some inexpensive thing, like maybe get a chrome/stainless exhaust tip for it. Then I'd really like to get some nice wheels.
  3. Why is it so hard for GM to design a tilt/telescoping steering wheel (and one that looks nice)? I've never driven or road in an Impala, so I can't say anything ahbout drining dynamics, but I have set in one. The interior looks nice buyt almost all of it is hard plastic...the new Sebring has more soft plastic than it...and that's saying something. It's ashame cuz I like the looks of the car, but I just wouldn't be able to tolerate the interior and uncomfortable driving position. I'll just keep my Intrepid
  4. The production model differed from the concept only in wheels, fender flair size, front bumper, rear bumper, exhaust location, and the steering wheel trim. Granted, I liked the concept better, but if there's a Red Line version, it could very well look like the concept.
  5. aThat is one sexy car! I always liked the generation GP...and the color and wheels are just beautiful!
  6. Me too, especially interior wise. Yeah I know...while I love the LX cars, their interiors seem to be a step down from the LH ones. I personally like the 300M's interior design the best, but I prefer the exterior of the Intrepid.
  7. I have the Challenger and Mustang (orange and gray respectively)...but no Camaro yet...
  8. They really need to do something about their inventories...
  9. Well after lots of looking around I finally got myself a new car, and what a beauty she is! She has 173k miles on her, which is a little on the high side, but she's been well taken care of. We saw the car posted on Auto Trader through edmunds, and found the auction was nearby. We went there last Wednesday and looks at a lot of cars and drove quite a few. At the end of the day, this one really stood out. Paint job is very good, headlights are crystal clear, the engine runs smooth with no knocking or chirping, the tranny shifts beautifully, and the interior is like new. Carfax showed it to be in the clear, as well. I paid $2,100 for it. I took it to the mechanic to have it looked over and inspected, he said everything checks out with the exception that he noticed oil on the engine (under the cover I guess, where I couldn't see it. He said he couldn't find any leaks on it, and it may be just a spill or something, but he can't steam clean it or whatever until the weather warms up. He said just keep an eye on the fluids. So here's hoping it's just a spill or something. The interior is very nicely designed and for the most part well built. Soft touch surfaces grace the upper dash, middle section of the dash on the passenger side, upper door panels, and all of the arm rests. The design is much more graceful IMO than the Magnum's or Charger's interiors. Textures feel nice and match each other nicely as well. It has a 6-speaker CD/cassette stereo (too bad it can't read mmp3s...ironically something my Shadow can do), and it sounds great. It doesn't have a folding rear seat, but considering the giant trunk, I'll live . It has a 2.7 liter V6 and all power, both are firsts for my family. This si also the newest car anyone in my immediate family has ever owned (sad I know). It has power everything, and with the exception of the trunk light, everything works. It has remote keyless entry and trunk release too. Power is smooth and refined and plentiful. Pedal feel is good and progressive for both gas and brake, and the steering wheel is nice and thick, and smaller than teh Shadow's. Plus it offers good weight and nice feedback. it drives like it's smaller than it really is, and handles very nicely. It also handles road imperfections very well and the interior doesn't rattle or squeak. I absolutely love this car, it's my baby, I'm gonna take good care of her! Anyway, enough rambling, here's some pictures just after a midnight car wash! When the weather cooperates, I'll get some daytime pics!
  10. I will be rain for us... I wish it was snow damnit!
  11. I've never been a fan of the styling, but that thing is in great shape!
  12. I remember that episode
  13. It just needs a batspoiler!
  14. It looks like it should fly
  15. Kewl
  16. I disagree, save retro for the Camaro. The interior great and is distinctive without being polarizing, which means that the average consumer won't be offended by it.
  17. That's pretty damned cool!
  18. Last Wednesday my gf and I went to an auto auction. We sat in an drove many vehicles. Some were good some were not so good and some were pretty horrible. There were a couple GM cars I saw and looked at. a previous gen Grand Prix, and a 90's Seville. I didn't get to test drive either, but I did sit in them. The Caddy was nice, with plenty of soft materials and so on. I've always been a fan of the styling, but it's not a car I could afford, so I passed on it. The Grand Prix was probably in my price range...but I just could get get by the interior. Now, I can put up with a lot...but the plastics and the switchgear were just awful. Ugly, cheap, and squeaky are some good adjective for it. It really disappointed me. I also test drove a 1st gen Outback, which was quite nice to drive but had a lot wrong with it. There was a 90's Maxima there, but it had well over 200k miles on it and the interior needed work. There was an `02 Dodge Stratus there. It was in great shape and very nice on the outside, but the inside was a sea of cheap plastic and bad design. Not only that but the driver's door panel was coming apart. The steering was numb and the break was mushy. Plus it was out of our budget. I test drove 5 3rd gen Caravans/Voyagers and every one of them were utter $h!. One of them died (tranny failure) while I was driving it and got left on the lot where it died until Friday. I looked at a couple of 2nd gen Neons, one had issues with the door locks, the other with the steering wheel coming apart. There were some first gen Neons but all three didn't run. I drove 2 Mazda Millenias...one was very nice the other was in bad shape. Neither lived up to BV's hype though. I drove a couple of other cars too. At the end of the day, I walked away with a new car, and 2 days later I got the keys to it. I'd post it sooner but i want some pics to show you all before I announce the car. Feel free to guess though
  19. Not really. They may not be class leading, however I remember the upper dash, steering wheel, and center arm rest being soft. I forget about the doors. That's about the same amount of soft materials as I remember feeling in the Aura. The Camry I didn't spend much time in, but that A-pillar was horrible, I can't remember about the rest of the plastics. The Accord had it's share of hard materials on the lower dash and door panels as well. I would hbe willing to say the Sebring's plastics aren't as well textured, but they aren't horrible. They aren't the best either. They ARE light years ahead of the car it replaces.
  20. The rear isn't so great but I like the front end.
  21. Except in the interior department, where it seems to have a better design than the Aura (thanks Opel)
  22. Man I didn't think it could get worse than the xB or the Aztek...Honda has proven me wrong.
  23. Eww...it's like a Chrysler Imperial concept gone horribly wrong.
  24. Yeah they are addicted to it yet they are one of the leading researchers of hydrogen research. Chevy Sequel anyone? Or how about that Electric car from the 90's? But Toyota makes the Prius and it can do no wrong. What a f@#k$h!.
