So I started my engine on fire...now what?
Intrepidation replied to tdellaringa's topic in Tech Section
Well, I gotta agree with what you said...that was not smart at all to do. I never ever leave my car running when gassing up...even when it's 4 degrees outside. All it takes is a simple spark from static electricity near the gas and...boom. It does happen, hence the signs that say "shut the car off." It gets plenty cold in New England and even here most people shut their cars off. It does take that long to fill up. I don't think you're supposed to mix synthetic with fossil oil..plus synthetic leaks more than easily than the natural stuff. But by far the dumbest thing you did was to try and add oil with no funnel, while it was gassing up and while it was running. Anyway, good luck getting it fixed, and hopefully learn to keep it off while filling up -
The current ones date back to 1996, yet they still ride and drive very well for the segment, plus they feature Stow `n Go. The new ones have impressive features which includes the table, swiveling seats, 6-speed automatic (all of which are segment exclusives. They are sure to be class leading. Anywya, this idea seems stupid. Why would GM want to help another company compete in a segment it dominates, and why would Dodge want a big BOF SUV in a time when that market is shrinking. If they wanted something from GMN it should be use of the Lambda's

The cheapo interior and electric steering turn me off from the vehicle (and I never cared for the nose). I'd suggest waiting for the new Vue, which will no doubt have a superior interior and powertrain. Of course you could consider an CX-7 or Edge if time is an issue...they're very nice CUVs.

It's hilarious an scary at the same time. No of the links work, the best I could find was the hick twon clip. IIt's sad just how retarded most of teh south really is even today. They behave like the which hunts were still going on. Of course those people musta been inbred too. Funny stuff, love that Camaro.

Wow look at them, they've come a long way and look like they've got almost as good articulation as Bandai's Gundams.

I would personally find a way to German and kill everyone that runs Mercedes. Anyway instead of trying to find ways to dump Chrysler they should fix it. It's not that hard. Update the engines, make the 6-speed more available across lineups, simply engine choices in various cars (why does the Avenger and Sebring need 3 engines?) and finally (most importantly) make good interiors. Oh and I guess work on designing nice looking cars again (fire whoever made the Compass and Sebring).

I don't want to see Chrysler get sold to another Foreign company, I'd rather it become it's own company again...but be able to keep the LX platform. That's the only real benifit of the merger I've seen since it happened.

That's cool, but I'll be impressed when they stop using the "black tie" and better integrate more of their center stacks in things besides the CTS.

There's spyshots of the next gen Vibe in the forum somewhere. It's coming back. This thing s ok but still not very good.

The Charger name was bastardized when it was slapped on an Omni but not the current Charger does the original one justice...so what if it has a couple extra doors. They have no production I4 turbo or supercharged t(as far as I know) hat currently matches the upcoming Caliber SRT-4. It's Dodge that can tromp all over GM's performance in a milliseond.

It needs a redesign, it's one of the oldest Epsilons out there isn't it?

And the Cheapest Interior Award goes to...
Intrepidation replied to Northstar's topic in Chicago Auto Show (CAS)
I agree with the Caliber/Compass/Patriot but not the Charger. It has a pretty good interior with decent quality amterials and good fit `n finish. Same with the Mahnum and 300. Dakota isn't very good in terms of materials, but i remember it being very comfortble to sit in and the driving position was great. Nitro...average IMO...the one I sat in did no flex like that in any part. I sdunnow hat the hell was up with t he one NorthStar touched. -
I prefer milk choclate, but not always wanting the Almonds. Since the candy companies are coming out with all sorts f new and stupid variations these days...why not make a milk chocolate Mounds? I like both anyway though. By the way reg, in referece to the title of this thread... and

I take the Intrepid to the car wash on a regular basis. Since shell gives you a nice discount when you fill up I go there. Sunday I wanted to wash it up while i was out and I still had a coupon. I go there and there's 2 cars in front of me: a Jeep Liberty and a Audi A4. The guy in the A4 sits there for like 2 minutes, then backs the car up. I figure he misaligned the car like we did with the Prizm the first time we took it through....but nope. The light is green (which is most countries means ""go" and instead of going, he gets out of his car and looks at the keypad for teh carwash. He stood there for another 5 minutes until I guess he figured ot that "green is go moron" (it also says GO" next to the light).

They even left the Vibe's split grill. But we all know why they sell that and not the Matrix... This Looks a hundred times better than this

The thing is that Lucerne and LaCrosse are pretty sucky names IMO...but then so are LeSaber and Century...I dunno what would make a good name for Buick.
-
That i am not sure...I guess it might depend on the speed you're going. brut it's better than running into things.

Consider turning the key to the "OFF" position.

I hate peopel on cell phones. I hate idots. and odds are she can't drive for $h! so I hate her for that too. You shoulda said, "Ma'am, look at the size of your car and look at the size of mine. I'm asking you to move from this illegal spot nicely, but if I really wanted to get out, do you think your car would stop my truck?"

That's horrible! No wonder something got stuck. Dumbass.
