Dells suck, buy an HP laptop or buid a PC.

What do you think of it being digital as opposed to analog? Honda should think about capitolizing the idea on it's other vehicles like the upcoming Accord.

Hyundai said to release new BH to compete against luxury cars
Intrepidation replied to Clownzilla's topic in Hyundai
The rreal determining factor is it's exterior. They can design nice interiors but their exteriors are hit or miss...if this looks like the Elantra it'll blow. -
So Americans still can't design good interiors and now it's the bloody Chinese who are better at it than us? WTF?!

Playing Gran Turismo will make your insurance...

Lie. I play Burnout...do you think I'd drive in real life like I do in that game? Seriously, who the hell comes up with this? -
That's what I said when I went to the New England International Auto Show! They're not that far behind everyone else's, and no one's is perfect.

I dunno where else to post this by the way...

Sunday (yesterday) while I was at work, a repair man came in to fix one of the large refridgerators. He had a Dodge Sprinter work truck. I went about my delievers, but when I had a break and while he was waiting for temperature readouts, I decided to ask him what he thought of the Sprinter...the following conversation ensued: Me: So how do you like the Sprinter? Him: It handles pretty good and is great on diesel. But it's limited to a top speed of 85 mph Me: (to self: well, it's a van). Him: I went to the dealer to ask how much oil it holds and they said 12 quarts. So i changed the oil and put twelve quarts in it and th light came on telling me I put too much il in it. Me: Uh, bummer? Well anyway, I bet it's an improvement over the Fod and GM vans (in reference to gas mileage, safety and handling). Him: Yeah, that's the problem with the domestics. They let their products sit and don't build quality cars like Toyota. Me: ... Me: That's basically just the vans, they make products that are as good or better than what Toyota makes. Plus, Toyota's not exactly the quality king. Just recently they recalled 500,000 Tundras for steering defects that could cause them to swerve off the road. Him: (here's the real kicker) That's just propaganda by the domestics. Me: Uh...no...the NHTAS made Toyota issue the recall. Plus, I can tell you with experience Toyota's are overrated. Mine (the Prizm) has had to have the transmission replaced, clutch replaced, clutch cylenderrs replaced, broken door handles inside and out, electrical issues and more...all of which are the Toyota parts of the car. At this point I had to go make a delivery, plus I probably shouldn't start an arguement with the guy who's supposed to fix my boss' equipment. Although I may (or may not) have given him some food for though.

One of my coworkers has a Civic sedan. I asked him if it took any time to get used to the high mounted speedo. He said "no, it's very natural position, and you don't need to glance far down to look at it."

Did Jaguar do the electrical systems on Saturns?
Intrepidation replied to Satty's topic in Tech Section
Yep, all Chryslers are POS...yet with 177k miles on it the Intrepid runs and drives like new, with 211k miles on it, with the original drivetrain, the Shadow still runs and driver on the original drivetrain. Not all of them suck as you might believe...although that one seems to. What year is it? I'd take it if the price was right And remember: with all the Chrysler sucking, there's a dead Saturn in your driveway. -
I prefer the coupe myself, but congrats on the new car!

Toyota dealers offer up to $1500 cash back on Tundra
Intrepidation replied to Flybrian's topic in Toyota
If I'm not mistaken though, doesn't the Ram have sharper steering? Also, you can get things like side airbags, a 5-speed automatic, a V8 with more than 300 horsepower (or have those things been upgrade yet? -
To me, 2 looks the best and 5 looks awful.

How do you figure? It's the oldest truck now, but what can be done until the redesign? It's a fine truck, certainly better than the Turd, Titan, and maybe F-150. -

Is that before or after the steering gives out? -
I hope someone gets to save that car, it'd be such a shame for it to end up crushed. I have to go back to the junkyard this week..before they crush that Prizm or something, to get the rear-driver's side door handle. Yesterday I went ton the door and one of the hinges broke!
-
The Prizm will do 30 mpg city/40+mpg highway. This is real stuff, not estimates.

To Sixty8 (dude, there are Shadows out there worth more than your Datsun, telling me the wheels I want are worth more than your whole cars says something a bout THAT car). (c'mon man, you set yourself up for it) To Satty, and z28. All you guys are concerned about is what sort of stupid value it may or may not add to the vehicle, and what other people may think of it. 1st..I paid 2 grand for this car, what do you think selling it will get me? I have no interest in selling it. 2.) I don't give 2 $h!s about impressing others. I care how it looks to me...if others like great, if not...f@#k them 3.) Unlike some of you people, who are "car enthusiasts" but only keep your cars for a year or 2 before ditching them, cars that enter my family stay in my family. I have a connection with the car. It's not just some piece of machinery. I love it, it's a great car that's saved my ass a few times when the other cars gave out (most recent example was yesterday) It's a handsome car, it's refined, it drives well and handles well. Also, there is a huge difference between sticking a 2 foot retarded spoiler on an economy $h!box, and tasteful wheels...if you can't tell the difference than I just feel sorry for you. Any mod you do to your car, by your definition, unless it's a Corvette or Cuda, is a waist of money. What's the point of being a car enthusiast if you never have fun with the cars or treat them? To BV: thank you, at least someone here gets it. Just because the car isn't a Corvette doesn't mean it has to be treated like it's $h!. If you love your car, and you want it to look nice, than go for it. This is the nicest car I have owned, it has been very good to me, my girlfriend, and my family. It's a great car that's already proved it's worth. It deserves something nice. It's not about increasing the value of my car, and not really about what other people think. It's what I think of the car, and what it deserves. Of course most of you guys swear up and down Chrysler engines and transmissions will blow up at 5k miles...So far that's not the case for either Dodge. And, if, god forbid, the engine gives out...i won't junk it...I hate junking cars...it makes me feel so sad...I'll replace the engine (with a 3.2 or 3.5). And of course, I want something newer, more powerful, etc. at some point my life, but I won't just abandon the car. Oh yeah, those first wheels look pretty good RBB.

Why buy a better car? What's wrong with the Intrepid. I love the car..."buying a better car" to me, would mean spending 25+ grand, and I don't and won;t for a long time, have that kind of money.

What vehicle these days doesn't get 5 stars? That's pathetic! I mean, yes, some don't, especially the cheap cars, but a brand spanking new vehicle on a brand new platform should be able to get 5 stars. -
It's such ashame so many nice Intrepids end up in the junkyard. If people spend 20+ grand on their car, why not spend an extra 3-4 on a replacement engine? Get a nice 3.2L or 3.5L and you won't have to worry about engine issues. Heaven forbid ours goes, I'll get a 3.2L or 3.5L...my baby will never end up in the junkyard to be crushed and turned into soda cans
