  1. I did, I was making a comment in references to cheap bits of the interior, I'm well aware that the post was directed at him. Free country however (for now), so I can add to it if I want, even if the questions not directed at me. Although I it kind of random I admit...
  2. Audi has real wood, so does BMW, Lexus (even the ES this year), some Lincolns and the 300C do. I don't like the fact that the Escalade has fake wood. As for the LaCrosse, the lower base price is I guess good reasoning..I forgot it started that low...the interior materials are better than the Lucerne's so I guess it's nice that the money went there...still, this (besides the ugly steering wheel) is what the car should have been from the beginning.
  3. From that photo the only difference I can see is that the lower edges of the intake are rounded for the "Chevy" and the other is totally rectangular. Oh and the shape of the hood may be slightly different..or it's the lighting. Big deal..they still look like ugly POS.
  4. Pot is for loosers...plus if I had some I'd say that the W-body is newer than the LX or Mazda6 platform..which it's not. So it's ok for a luxury car to have cheap plastic look-alike (although not really) wood?
  5. Fake wood. There's no excuse for it in an luxury car. You can get real wood in a 300C or a MKZ...both on more modern platforms btw...both with NAV systems too... Although at least you cab get a Nav system on the Lucerne.
  6. Mercedes is taking a page from Chrysler and making the interior shades of gray...why?!
  7. I'll take a CTS please.
  8. I'm not "attempting" anything. I'm aware that unlike the Lucerne, the interior has a fair amount of soft-touch materials...that doesn't change the fact that 1.) in that picture, they looked glossy and cheap 2.) The design is bland 3.) the "new" steering wheel is (at least IMO) a step down from the original. 4.) the center stack isn't very attractive and looks pretty dated 5.) Uses faux wood (unless that's changed) 6.) Has no NAV system (as far as I know) 7.) Th powertrain enhancements help but it's still on an old platform, there's only so much you can do...the Aura is a much more compitent car I think...although if cushy ride is your thing then the LaCrosse is for you 8.) All of the improvements the car has now is what it should have had from the beginning
  9. The grill is out of place and doesn't mesh well with the rest of the car and the interior is a huge disappointment...I was hoping for something more like the Chinese STS.
  10. I know...it's pretty sad.
  11. That's not the new Optima...this is: The clock font in the Intrepid is basically the same it was back in the 80's...down to the green...but it's easy to read and matches the gauges. Anyway, back to the LaCrosse...unlike the Lucerne Super this is actually an improvement...but I miss the original wheel it had not this ugly steering wheel...and the interior still looks cheap. SH1NY PL4ST1CS F0R 3V3RY0N3!!!1!
  12. They still bare little if any resemblance to the cars they are named after and are even uglier than before. The "distinctions" are so minute you might as well just say they are identical with different decals. Honestly, I never saw what was so great about watching a bunch of look-alike cars go left for hours...the only thing worth watching for me was the crashes...which even those are better in other racing genres.
  13. F0R T3H W1N!!1!
  14. Trade it in for a 300C...or hell a Hyundai Genesis Just avoid that Lucerne Super. In all seriousness, I don't know how to help you, maybe someone else who has better knowledge of it can, best of luck!
  15. Hope nothing hits the rear of the Intrepid...that bumper's just plastic. Someone hit the `87 Shadow once and knocked the bumper partway off one of its mounting brakcets...they pulled over and helped my mom put it back on...no damage to the bumper or the Shadow....they don't make `em like they used to.
  16. Like I said, it's sad that Buick is going to be outdone by Hyundai...HYUNDAI!!! What's wrong with that picture?
  17. It's really sad about this car and Buick as a whole. The interior looks better, but if the spyshots we've seen on the Genesis' interior are any indication, it's going to blow the Lucerne out of the water. On top of that, it's V8 will make "well over 300 horsepower" and will have a 6-speed automatic...and it's RWD....the replacement for the Lucerne can't come soon enough.
  18. You did what you could with that ugly new nose, and for that I commend your efforts.
  19. Oh man, they took a handsome car and made it hideous. The nose was my least favorite part of the Lucerne but it was alright...but now it looks awful...like they let the G6 GXP front-end "designers" have their way with it. It's especially horrid in the first pic, but it's bad in all of them. They could have given it the LaCrosse's grill and it would have looked OK. The interior looks much better now...although it's still stuck with the ugly steering wheel. At least Buick finally has real wood in one of its cars...took them long enough. Congrats Buick, Hyundai now has a nicer looking car than you.
  20. Better, although the photography is crap, and the interior still sucks ass...didn't it used to have a nicer looking steering wheel?
  21. That thing is badass...it's a bit odd but I actually like the looks of it.
  22. Whee did those come from? They're pretty good.
  23. That's one of the more ignorant posts I've seen on this forum. -- Anyway, I don't care for it inside or out...I prefer the sedan...plus the rear looks like the RDX.
  24. BMW needs to play catchup now to the RS4..this should help...but I like the Audi better.
  25. What? It fits the old man car image of the Lucerne (or rather Buick is pushing the car to be an old-man car). The chrome pillars are not what I'd expect old people to slap on their cars though.
