2016 McDonald's Mighty Angus Review by Suaviloquent
Intrepidation replied to Suaviloquent's topic in The Lounge
This was clearly either a fabricated review or a paid one. No McDonald's in the Continental US assembles sandwiches that well. -

I disagree, I think the Prius thing is very interesting.Certainly its unorthodox but that's part of the allure. Anyone can shove a big crate motor into an old car. It's been done millions of times. When people think outside the box, now that's cool. Of course it could end up looking terrible especially when you consider how he plans to handle the wheelbase differences, but it could end up being quite something. That Power Wagon is cool too. Can't remember the last time I saw that body style with an extended cab.

Can't wait for Spring. So many plans. But for now here's a few things I have done. First up, my last project before winter. These are OEM floor mats that came out of the `01. hey were filthy (the photos are after cleaning) and faded but in good shape. So I cleaned them up and used VHT carpet dye. Really pleased with the results as they look so much better and they've held up well over the last 4 months. Used the dye to touch up some areas on the carpet too. For Christmas I received custom fabricated HVAC knobs. I've been wanting these for a long time as the chrome ringed knobs look more modern and compliment the chrome rings gauges, switches, and shifter. They're made using GMC Acadia knobs and framing them around trimmed Intrepid knobs. My next little mod requires a Chevy Sonic. Specifically the volume knob from this radio: Because it just so happens it fits Chrysler stereos. Just need to acquire one for myself. (that was a test fit).

When you have whole articles dedicated to people's worst dealerships experiences... http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2009/01/question-of-the-day-your-worst-dealership-experience/ And entire studies showing the "only 17 out of 4002 people prefer the current car buying process"... http://press.autotrader.com/2015-03-31-New-Autotrader-Study-Consumers-Want-Big-Changes-to-the-Car-Buying-Process That's THE DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Tesla Increases Lobbying Efforts To Break Into Michigan
Intrepidation replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
The Bolt will be a runaway success like the Volt was...oh wait. You know confidence in your product's sales success is high when you're offering incentives before it even launches. http://gmauthority.com/blog/2015/10/2016-chevrolet-volt-already-seeing-purchase-incentives/- 196 replies

I scrapping the rust off in front of the chute, what was going to be a touch up in that area ended up with me repainting most of the bucket as well was the belt guard. Turns out Chevrolet Orange Red is a near perfect match to the original paint. As a point of comparison, the orange part of the chute wasn't repainted just cleaned up. It's really close, I'm certainly happy with it. Besides new skids, she's ready to tackle snow once more. Curious to see how well it performs.

Tesla CEO Defends Model S After Consumer Reports Downgrade
Intrepidation replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Believe it or not in the parts business this happens occasionally where a used part gets returned as new. Its unfortunate but mistakes happen He did offer to send you another one right away. Tesla doesn't have dealerships. If it had been a conventional dealership they probably would have blamed the defective part on you. Dishonest? BRO DO YOU EVEN DEALERSHIP BEFORE?- 64 replies

I'd like the 2015 Challenger/Charger kit.

Turns out Chevrolet Orange-Red is a pretty damn close match to the color Simplicity used.

I'm curious to see how it performs. Typically, single stage snowblowers are regulated to cheap, economy grade machines. This Simplicity is anything but economy, even has chains on the tires.

2000-2001 300M body harness, roof harness, and an Intrepid PBQ trunk lid. You'll have to do some work for it but all of those would come in at $100 or less.

Probably not near term, the starter housing will be repainted and I'm going to touch up the area in front of the chute, then it'll be set for winter duty. Night restore it someday, but its going to be put to work this winter.
