  1. Nice...although it reminds me of the Hyundai Genesis. Anyway, I think I'll make an entry...haven't sketched in a while
  2. My coworker drives a Civic sedan (he got it instead of the coupe for practicality reasons). Yesterday I road with him so he could show me an apartment complex that was rather confusing to figure out...I'm sure I'll get lost the first time I deliver there. But I digress. The car is very roomy inside with top-notch interior materials that include a soft-touch upper dash, soft touch upper door panels, and fabric padded armrests on the center one and the doors. The hard plastics were well textures and pleasing to touch. I didn't mess with the switchgear but it all looked very easy to use. The design itself is really cool. the speedo is huge and easy to read the numbers, and the tach looks very cool and is also easy to read. The steering wheel is tiny and thick...plus it looks cool, and the shifter and small hand brake are highly stylized and very original. The car's engine very responsive and quiet and the transmission shifts smoothly and without delay. It also road very well over the lousy streets of Lawrence with no crashing sensations over the big stuff. It also had a very tight turning radius. I have to say that based on my impressions of that car it's easy to see why its class-leading and why so many people buy them. GM, Ford, Toyota and Chrysler have a fair amount of catching up to do.
  3. I thought I posted this already...but wasn't that thing is horrible shape therefore a piece of junk? Or does it run and drive? If so congrats! If not I feel sorry for ya.
  4. That is just awesome...the rest of the car is hit-or miss, but that angle is sweet.
  5. I want that Saratoga we saw at the junkyard.
  6. He's done car shopping like Toyota is done being arrogant. I A_M he should consider a Plymouth Champ...saw one in the junkyard. It calls you... It'll make you a chump...er...champ! Isn't that LeSabre a piece of crap in terms of condition?
  7. Are you serious in that this is real?
  8. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=120505 DETROIT — In this latest chapter of the saga of the Chevrolet Volt, the project is still alive and well. Speaking to the Society of Automotive Engineers earlier this week, GM engineering chief Jim Queen said the automaker is planning to build its Chevrolet Volt plug-in electric car in the future. "We will get this into production," Queen said. "We are very, very serious about this." However, Queen admitted that GM is still trying to figure out how to make the Volt provide "profit for the enterprise." GM execs are making a considerable effort to reassure the public that the Volt is not being shelved. In a posting on the GM FastLane blog on March 24, GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz insisted that "we're not unplugging anything," in reaction to the drumbeat in the media that the Volt is little more than an expensive science project. "We are 100 percent committed to making this happen," Lutz wrote, adding that the Volt is "the toughest and most exciting effort GM has undertaken." GM took the wraps off its plug-in electric concept in January at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show, but noted that it needed to have suppliers more fully develop battery technology in order to make the Volt a reality. "We are very optimistic about what we hear from the battery guys," said Elizabeth Lowery, GM's vice president of environment and energy in a recent interview with Inside Line. "We're doing architecture, while they're doing the batteries." What this means to you: Still no firm date, though, on when the Volt will end up in your driveway.
  9. The front end could use a little tweaking but besides that is sexy.
  10. Dude...what did he say? Do I need to try harder?
  11. Hummer has a very cool bicycle. It folds in half. My friend has one...it's the only way he can fit a bike in the Corolla...it's pretty sweet.
  12. That and it's very bad for the O-zone
  13. some kind of Ford.
  14. I was planning on getting a bike anyway to exercise in the summer...this will just reinforce that plan. It sucks nonetheless. They are so full of $h! that they "can't keep up". It's excuse after excuse as to why they jack the prices up. Next "Uh, I took a $h! in the oil...we're gonna have to raise prices so we can cover the funding to clean it."
  15. I'm not sure I like the dash design from what I can see, but it may look better with a full picture. The car looks pretty hawt. I like it's shape. I see the rear window is a bit less aggressive in shape than the concept and the character lines are slight different by the rear wheel well, but it looks great. By the way, the G6 coupe is awkward. It looks great from the back but the sedan's front end doesn't mesh with it well at all.
  16. No you can't have it!
  17. Actually he does! Look at the smirk on his face I'M GOING TO RAPE WITH A SHOVEL @$$JOCKEY!
  18. "I fart on you!" Anway the ban is stupid...especially become there are uses for halogen bulbs. Leave it to Canada
  19. Could my essay be posted as part of the C&G Featured Articles? Could that count?
  20. This is excellent FOG and exactly what I had in mind. Everything you've mentioned is spot on with the idea. You bring up good points about the questions being a bit more vague, as well as using the Likert scale. Yes this is indeed Social Psychology. I'd probably enjoy it more if I wasn't so burned by my Advanced Animation and Photography class...but this is one aspect of the class I do like a lot...a chance to deal with bias.
  21. Yeah, it helps to back up the my hypothesis. If you can find any other studies like this it'd be great!
  22. A helpful start. Keep in mind that the goal of the Questionnaire is to identify people who know a Japanese car because they feel it's superior...not because they happened to like it on it's own merits.
  23. That's correct, sorry for the typo. While it would be interesting to actually do the experiment, we're just supposed to simulate it using our knowledge, what we've learned in class, and articles relating to the subject (people's bias) to back it up. The come up with results using an educated guess. I need psychological articles that have researched people's bias before, it doesn't matter the topic. That would be very helpful.
  24. What are some good questions to determine someone is bias? I have these so far: Have you had past experiences with domestic vehicles? If so, were they positive or negative experiences? What prompted you to buy a Japanese vehicle? Would you consider buying domestic again? If no, why? (Please briefly explain)
