1. That actually looks cool. The Prizm is far better than the J bodies... Yeah, ours had to have the tranny replaced but I don't believe that is very common. The interior is so much better, the drivetrain is so much more refined...it handles better looks better sounds better... Little stuff breaks on them...like door handles...so many Corollas and Prizms have broken door handles. But that's what the junkyard is for. Plus it's pretty cheap to insure...much cheaper than I was expecting.
2. Just an observation Congrats though! (although I don't like that Monte Carlo body style).
3. The Vue looks quite impressive with lots of thoughtful features. The only thing that looks cheap is that hand brake...but that may be just because of the camera flash. The blue Astra is awesome.
4. Life goes on, but I hope Toyota suffers the fate GM suffered for being to big.
5. Wow not even the Shadow was that bad...yeah it had problems but never left me stranded besides that time the new battery terminal wasn't connected properly. In fact I don't ever remember it stranding someone. Dude, suggest an Intrepid It's way more reliable than a Sunfire! Much more refined too. So far all that had to be done to it was have the gasket between the fuel pump replaced...although I think it needs a wheel bearing (high mileage). Still, it's been extremely reliable so far.
6. It is a handsome devil.
7. Dude you should find a *cough* cracked *cough* copy of PhotoShop CS :AH-HA_wink: As for text, sometimes the best way to make the text look good in the image is the font. Try abstractfonts.com they have an awesome array of crazy and cool fonts. My sig uses one of them. Also stroking the text can look cool too (if elements has that feature).
8. Yup it is. I live on the tallest hill in the city. Sitting by the window with a cup of hot cocoa and watching cars try to go up the hill is a favorite pastime. Once a pickup with a plow on it got stuck trying to plow...tried to get itself free...then ended up setting the transmission on fire!
9. And when you consider the rather large dent in passenger side fender, the assloads of rust along the driver's side doors and rocker panels...it helps further
10. It was a nice day out but at the same time rather warm (85 degrees!). I discovered today that the Intrepid's A/C wasn't very cold. So I bought a couple cans of R134a (one for the Intrepid and one for the Shadow, (because I know it needs it). Took some time but after an hour or two I had both cars blowing out ice cubes. Then I cleaned out the interiors, and finished off with a rinse to the exteriors. They'll need a more formal cleaning inside and out but a rinse couldn't hurt. This is especially true for the Shadow, as the poor thing wasn't washed once all winter...making it look even worse than it is. After I finished I snapped some late afternoon photos while the cars were still wet...makes the Shadow look half decent when it's wet (this one came out bad)
11. She cleans up nicely BV. Couple questions: are those old style headlights (you know, before they became clear lenses)? Also...what's with the major misalignment where the center stack meets the the center console on the passenger side? The plastic looks like it's peeling back.
12. To be honest...I don't like the font...mainly the cheap bevel effect on it. I used to do that before I got good at PhotoShop effects (no offense)...I just hate the way it looks. The image is cool but too much text for a wallpaper and (as a personal preference) I like the Sliverado or any truck better with the extended cab. It would be cool if, since you have all of that empty white space, combine this image with another of the Silverado...or maybe even the Sierra if you wanted.
13. It's currently registered in Kansas...she paid I think 70 a month.
14. This month we finally have to register the Prizm as a Massachusetts car...which means paying Massachusetts insurance rates. Which, suck.
15. Not that I'm disagreeing (I haven't sat in one yet)...but uh...what's with the repeated use of "incredible" I mean seriously...the headliner? I still don't buy into the whole "gauges are expensive" bit. Because most cars today have pretty chrome rings and dials. It's plastic too. Big deal. The lighting is nice but you can find that in a lot of cars...ditto for the info center. The rest of the interior is probably very good, but I can't say until I sit in one. Design wise it's top-notch though.
16. PS It is in a paper bag and may be on fire.
17. One could argue that even the Chrysler Sebring offers a hardtop..and 2 soft tops. Choice is indeed good. Then again, the 9-3 is more attractive...so yeah Still, they seem to make a big deal over a color option. So what? The Sky has something like that for a color...I'd rather have it...and not just because Z0/\/\G!1! T3H T0P 1S 1/\/ @ (0L0R 0TH3R TH4/\/ BL4(|<!!1! HURJ4Y!!1!1!
18. The Cobalt among other compacts should offer a 5 or 6 speed automatic, at least as an option on top trim levels. How hard is it to do that? The Malibu will get that as an option. Then Cobalt would have a class-leading powertrain, and no doubt better fuel economy. Same goes for the Caliber...make a 6-speed an option...instead of that crappy CVT.
19. That's strange since the Caliber isn't a sedan or coupe.
20. That was hilarious. The best part was blowing the doors off those little f@#kers, and showing that some horribly misshapen Japanese econ-$h!box is no match for American muscle.
21. I find this to be fa more useful and function...and since there's a NAV in the cluster, it looks far more expensive. But if you wanna talk about expensive and sophisticated, please....the CR-V is nothing. Now this, is expensive and sophisticated I know, not a fair comparison by any means, just an excuse to show off these beauties.
22. I don't see what's wrong with the Edge's interior. Of course it's not as stylized and adventurous as the Mazda's...but that's how Mazda and Ford are. Ford is more conservative with its designs. Both look nice to me. On another note, teh CRV doesn't hold a candle to the interiors in the Lambdas...also I agree with everything Fly said about the exterior.
23. I hate the Chinese automakers....although that Prius knockoff is fairly original and actually pretty sharp looking. Wow they even stole Mazda's logo.
24. I like small steering wheels better than than huge ones, it's all in the preference I guess The instrument cluster is funky but I like it for that reason...it's different.
