  1. Looks great from that angle! That's a very cool perspective TED...I am jealous of your camera
  2. But...Hyundai would like you to believe they are more American than Buick!
  3. Fixed. :AH-HA_wink:
  4. The panels look misaligned around the center stack....and there's so many cut-lines in that area.
  5. Found another quarter...I raise my offer to $147.26
  6. I can offer your $147.01 in cold hard cash...right now.
  7. I want to hear the V8...there is nothing more intoxicating than the rumble of one....and nothing that sounds better.
  8. I just got it while trying to go to this thread
  9. Actually I think we do have some hanging around somewhere...I'd have to look though.
  10. I keep coming back to that Idea and I may use it...but tweaked a bit. What I'm thinking about doing is having an interior shot from the passenger side, at night, giving a good view of most of the dash, the driver (mostly silhouetted) and the road blurring past. Then towards the bottom will be a separate image of the odometer reading off a lot of miles. I'm thinking of using my car since it makes it easy to get the imagery I want...do you think 188,496 miles is good enough?
  11. There is a very noticeable difference before and after the Prizm gets its oil changed. Going too far over 3k miles seems to make the engine revs not match up with the gears...and after an oil change it is immediately better. The car drives mainly city anyway, so it gets closer to 3k oil changes like my car. Like Camino said, it's good, inexpensive insurance.
  12. I personally change my car's oil every 3,000 miles...it's not expensive and from what I've read up on other Intrepid owners it's the best way to keep the 2.7L happy. The Prizm is somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 miles The Shadow is erm...whenever I think it needs it. The former 2 always come out looking pretty clean but the Shadow is always on the blackish side. My Corolla friend changes it every 2,000 miles I do like how the Cobalt has an oil life readout...very handy. Right now it's at 29%
  13. Wasn't there a high speed thread or something in the lounge?
  14. I did 100 or so in the Cobalt last wewk before I ran out of space in the left lane of I93...not to hijack your thread Chris
  15. Yeah I've thought about taking the bike to school for that...I did it a few times to travel from South to North Campus instead of driving to and fro but didn't really bother with it this semester so far. Those Hummer bikes are nifty the way the fold in half...makes them very compact. My friend can actually fit it in his `93 Corolla...which is impressive to say the least (they have like no trunk room).
  16. I didn't take offense to anything. Actually the "record" part is quite right. In your first post you said, "Is the "Power to Surprise" slogan for Hyunda/Kia..." Hyundai's isn't the same slogan, as I was simply pointing out. Kia is the only one with "The Power to Surprise" slogan. http://www.hyundai-motor.com/ Speaking of retarded have you considered spell check?
  17. Oh if only you had been pulled over and had your camera handy!
  18. At stores and stuff I don't care...I just park at the first spot I see open. A little walking never hurt anyone. What pisses me off is when people are aren't handicap (besides in the head, and not legally) park in handicap spots because they are fat and/or lazy. Walk fatass and you'll actually lose some of the weight! At school however it's an entirely different matter. UMass Lowell is notorious for horrible parking...not enough parking spots for everyone. It's especially bed on North Campus...because there are literally no parking spaces to be found mid-day and the only way to get one is to follow someone who is leaving...and to dual with other drivers too. South Campus didn't used to be as bad...but this semester I've actually seen the big parking lot full for the first time inmy3 years being there. I try to find a close spot if I can but usually I'm stuck at the end. This is a problem because it literally takes 10 minutes to walk from the end of that parking lot to buildings like McGoveran (XP can attest to this). I try if at all possible to park in the small parking lot behind Coburn...because it's close to the rest of the buildings and is a short walk. I've seen people wait for open spots for up to a half hour. I'd never wait that long...if a spot doesn't open after 10 minutes I'd leave...but I never wait that long anyway. The key to parking there is two-fold: Knowing when classes get out and knowing how to get the spot before the other people (there's always cars waiting to park). My class starts at 10am...in order to get a spot there is a very small window between 9:55 and 10:05 where some people get out from class an leave...any later and the lot is full for another hour or so...any earlier and you're waiting. The other tactic I've learned to use is to play a little dirty... Everyone enters the lot and goes counter clockwise around the middle row to wait for spots...there's always a line. I go clockwise...so I'm the only car in that direction...and I've got the car in Drive so I'm ready to snag the spot quickly. If course, I'm not a total ass about it...if someone is closer and has their turn signal on and is in position to park...I won't take that spot from the...I'll wait for another. Since I've Employed these tactics I've gotten a spot every time. :AH-HA_wink:
  19. Any other ideas?
  20. Rude... I had friend who's 3rd grade teacher told him China attacked pearl habor! For the record, Hyundai's tagline is "Drive your way" Kia's tagline is crappy is pretty crappy, but there $5.00 advertisements are even worse.
  21. That's insane! I love swimming...but only in pools that are clean, filtered chemical treated.
  22. If you think about it for a sec...the only true hardtops are luxury GT... not performance car. The best of he best have B-pillars.
  23. That's not what Toyota would have you believe! Anyway, I'm a little disappointed but not really surprised...and so long as it looks almost identical otherwise and they put the B-pillar behind the glass (like what Dodge appears to be doing with Challenger) I'll be happy. It's coming back, and that's what matters most.
