Exactly, companies don't "die" they get bought out either whole or in pieces by foreign companies. -

Considering his is being marketed as a performance oriented model, not having a manual is an oversight. Doesn't matter though, even if it did and cured cancer it wouldn't please you people.- 102 replies

And there goes my dinner. -
I've had a lot of seat time with both the Sonic and the Focus. The Focus is a class up from the Sonic but it also feels it. I do like the Sonic, it has good power even with the base engine, the interior looks nice and it drives well. However, like many recent GM transmission geared toward fuel economy, this automatic is dimwitted and can easily be caught sleeping on the job, reluctant to downshift and even sometimes up shift. The Focus on the other hand has a much smarter transmission (after it was reprogrammed in that recall) and is always ready to up or downshift when needed. It also has a far higher quality interior, even in base trim that's also better put together than the Sonic. The switchgear all feels well damped and precise. It even gets better average fuel economy in similar diving conditions (34 vs 32 mpg in mostly around town driving). The Focus' only problem was the transmission recall. The Sonic had a couple recalls as I recall, but it also developed a Class A misfire one day. Not sure why, it went away after idling in the parking lot for a few minutes. Also it made a clicking noise under braking from the driver's rear wheel. So while I do like the Sonic, I'd pick the Focus.

Apparently the problem is related to that new skin, as the + - buttons show up and work for the default theme.

Adding quote tags to an image gives an error. The ability to rep up or down is missing for me now (was working earlier).

Oh boy, OnStar turn-by-turn, something you have to pay an annual fee for! And there's no map screen. Personally, I like the ability to glance a map to get an idea where an upcoming turn is in a place I'm not familiar with, or a complex highway junction I'm not familiar. That said, I use my Google Navigation on my smartphone. It stays up to date, very accurate, very specific, looks good and has lots of features. Oh and its free. Now, I want to say that an automaker was developing an infotainment system that lets you pair your smart phone's navigation to the car's screen, but I can't remember who.

Jeep News: Jeep: New Models and Old Names Are Coming
Intrepidation replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
A lot of people who own XJ's and off road them aren't really concerned with the new cars, in my area anyway, which haas a big off roading community and a lot of Cherokees. They buy them because they are cheap (the similar vintage Wranglers hold their value much better), and 4.0 is reliable. Sure their might be some grumbling, but its like people on the internet who complain about cars they either can't afford or wouldn't buy anyway. Plus, these days if one wants a 4-door Sport Utility Vehicle by Jeep with true off-road chops, isn't enormous and have money to spend, there's the Wrangler Unlimited. -
The quote system seems to be borked.

Yeah the new corporate design language is very nice, the new 6 looks great, and the SkyActive powertrains are impressive as well. -
