  1. The next 200 is supposed to get a 9-speed, and several existing models already have the ZF 8-speed.
  2. Ehh, you young-in's and yur newfangled turbochargers and fuel injection. Back in my day we had carburetors and injections implied a trip to the doctor. We had to crank the engine by hand, none of this motorized starter tomfoolery.
  3. I did some Spring Cleaning, got rid of the spare door and hatch for a the Shadow which is no longer among us, and got rid of the waste fluid in the garage. I also picked up a speaker for my car, the back driver's was crackling.
  4. I got an idea on what some of this will cost, about $120 to repaint all 4 wheels and about $200 to fix the rust. Not bad.
  5. No one's got any plans?
  6. Fap's right. For people who actually buy new vehicles for offroading buy the Wrangler. Everyone loves the old Cherokee and old Grand Cherokees because they are cheap. Besides, the current Patriot and Compass are nothing trail rated despite being CUVs, and they do quite well in the bush. This, despite the fact that no one takes them off road. This will no doubt be trail rated in at least one form. Very few sane people would buy a brand new Jeep that wasn't a Wrangler (or a brand new vehicle in general), and then proceed to beat on it. I'm still not sold on the front end styling, mainly the separate lamps though.
  7. Winter's almost over and that means its almost time to get stuff down on the cars. For the Intrepid: A good detailing inside and out. Front sway bar links Front sway bar bushings Rear struts Rear sway bar link (passenger side) Tires Possibly get wheels repainted New set of lug nuts Have the rocker seam repainted For the Prizm A good detailing inside and out. Rear struts Exhaust manifold Tires Get rust fixed on rockers before it gets bad Do body work on the quarter panel and finally paint it Replace headliner Also want to get various fluids changed on both cars. Power steering, differential, etc. There's a few other side projects I want to do, but those are the main ones. What about you guys?
  8. I forgot how good the new Fiesta looks. The new new Beetle is pretty spiffy, I like it a lot better than the old new Beetle.
  9. Welcome! It's always refreshing to read a different perspective.
  10. How about one of these?
  11. I like the 4-door model myself and would buy it if I were getting a Wrangler, but then I prefer the looks of crew cab pickups, I prefer the longer look, especially with the body color hard top.
  12. Did you give the Dart a try? Of the ones in the group you tested I would pick the Focus, hands down. Ours is averaging 34 mpg in mostly town driving. Its fun to drive, very substantial feeling, the interior is really nice, the switchgear feels high quality, and besides the recall to have the transmission reflashed its been problem free.
  13. The TSA: Child molesters keeping the skies safe from disabled 3-year olds. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/girl-wheelchair-detained-tsa-caught-tape-18555238
  14. I like TG US. They've come a long way in a short amount of time.
  15. That AMX/3 is beautiful.
  16. Playing the devil's advocate, I will give them credit for trying something new with the front end and not just rehashing the same designs they've been using for 20 years.
  17. This. Also that because their models were based on GM designs, it was impossible to get GM approval for alliances with other automakers, because GM had to protect its intellectual property.
