CTS-V >M5 > C5 Even the auto rags, even The False About Cars rates the CTS-V as the best there is. Even James May loved it after he got it on the twisty bits.

For hamburgers, medium-well to well done. For steak and everything else, well done I don't know how people can eat it rare, different tastes, but still. Also, I'm very, very picky about the meat. It must be tender, easy to cut and easy to chew. I will literally gag is I end up with a tough and chewy bit in my mouth.

Yeah I used to never used WMP and use Winamp, but WMP 12 rocks...I use it more and more.

This is the problem with a lot of software these days. It's huge and comes with all kinds of necessary $h!, takes forever to install, load up and runs slowly.

Yep, it's the original paint, that wax works wonders. It's called Steel Blue Pearlcoat. It's an interesting color because the intensity of the blue varies depending on the lighting conditions. However because it has started to loose some of it's luster, it does look somewhat grayish in some photos. Not anymore though, that wax job restored the luster and it is much deeper now. I'm so happy about that. Meguiar's FTW!

Nope, just used a really good buffer and some really good wax. It's looks amazing now!

Actually yes, the guy who sold it to me said Charger center caps willf it on it. So when I get some spare change I'll get a set.

Thanks and I agree! When I first saw them I was like "eh, they're not bad, but the price is right" However they've really grown on me. Now I do eventually want a set of 5 spokes that either are or are like the Caliber SRT4's, however I'm quite happy with these.

Only little issue was that we yanked the dash apart to install the switch. On my way home I turned the air on and it blew out hot, even after I turned it off. At least I knew why...we forgot to plug the other HVAC control connector back in. Not fun driving home in teh summer with the heat on!

It's about half done. I need to get yours done and start working on a new one for me and then Z06.

Sounds like fun. I love camping...I haven;t gone since I was in grade school though. If I can get some spare money I would like to get a tent go away for a weekend before summer is over. Today when we were taking the old wheels off the car we discovered the front passenger side was way too tight. I'm lucky the studs didn't break. The new wheels are now torques to factory spec. Gotta get me a new torque wrench.

Thanks Camino. Still plenty to do though, I can't wait until next weekend.

Some photos: and here's some of my friend's Intrepid who helped with the parts installation and waxing:

They're aftermarket, I honestly don't know what they're called. I would have to ask the guy who sold it to me.

I bought these off an LH forums member for $200. The price was right, since they've got a decent set of Michelin Pilot Alpine tires on them...very nice tires...I like them a lot. They've got some curb rash on them, I'm going to touch them up soon. The more I look at them the more I like them. I noticed that the new Z4 has wheels similar to these, which is neat. These 18" wheels really fill out the wheel wells nice and look better proportioned than the 16"s ever did. Plus the ride doesn't suffer at all. I'm happy

Better late than never as they say.

Wow, that's cool. I can't recall the last time I saw one. You're handy, so working on the Lincoln shouldn't be an issue. I say go for it.

Thanks! It doesn't matter what mods you do, just that you're having fun with doing it. As for me, my car has automatic headlights now! Installed the switch and teh sensor and everything worked. I love it. Has a little mishap when the ratchet slipped out of my hand and fell in the dash duct...that was fun to get out. My car got the most thorough waxing of it's life I think. Clay bar and everything. Took a lot of the scratches out and the paint is much deeper and more reflective. ...and the moment I've been waiting for...it now has a new set of wheels! Pics to come in a few.

Looks good, the radio knobs are much more classy. The "chrome paint" looks more like bright silver...but not bad. I would put several coats of clear on it to protect the stuff from rubbing off, which silver/chrome paint has a habit of doing.

I would love if VW brought the Scirocco over. It and the CC are VW's best looking products.

Haha, I did homework sometimes the day off as well, but more often then not there simply wasn't time to do such a thing, so I did it the night before. Now when I say night before, this includes week long projects and such. In college where there was more time and more relaxed classes....yeah I did homework last minute more often. Only my last semester, where we had a semester long senior studio project that would determine whether or not you graduated did I do all my work on diligently and on time, and even then I just barely go it finished. The first year of college I bought all my books new from the store. I was young, naive. After that, I would either buy them used online, my friend and I would split the cost and share the books, and by 2nd semester Junior year we didn't buy any books at all. What we would do is go to the library, and use his camera to take photos of the pages we needed.

You need to use high-heat primer, paint, and clear coat for that. I got away with using regular silver for the lettering, but it's just a small portion and I covered the whole thing with 3 coats of high heat clear.

For me, the weight of a backpack was only an issue in high school. There was far too little time and too much distance to walk between classes to go to your locker and get things, so people, myself included, just packed everything into the backpack. In college, since there's only 2-3 classes a day, it was never heavy.

I know what you mean about wanting to add brightwork. Adding the chrome handles, switches, gauges and shifter really brighten up the cabin in my car. What are you using to paint the kickplates? Last time I used chrome paint it was nothing more than silver, and wasn't durable at all.
