  1. That poor Dakota...my favorite generation. It makes a great point. Those of us who actually get off of our fat asses and get parts ourselves to keep our cars running / upgrade them have that many less donor vehicles, and it hurts the business of salvage yards. A sad fate for any car indeed.
  2. I just wonder what the fallout will be like when this program inevitably ends.
  3. Starbucks
  4. Already posted: http://www.cheersandgears.com/index.php?sh...c=39974&hl=
  5. GM, Koenigsegg sign deal on Saab sale General Motors Co. reached a deal Tuesday to sell its money-losing Swedish subsidiary Saab to Koenigsegg Group AB. Follow the jump for details. http://www.cheersandgears.com/index.php?sh...c=39946&hl=
  6. Well that lows, having to remove the door panel to remove the mirror. Ah but they're mounted to the door. I'm used to mirrors mounted in the corner of the greenhouse surround.
  7. Yeah I saw that deal on LHF today. Pretty sweet.
  8. That first gen Neon which I later found out had caught fire...
  9. A new car isn't in the cards for a while I think. However the next one will be a 2002+ 300M Special. If we get and `02 or newer we'll be able to audio controls which I really want. pre `02 LH cars didn't have that feature available, and modifying them to be able use audio controls is very difficult and not worth the effort. More importantly perhaps is that `01 and newer models had side airbags. I'd love to get Pro Am seats for it too, and I would swap out the fake carbon fiber from real walnut trim.
  10. I agree, more exclusive, breaking news would be very helpful. Getting that content is the tricky bit. We do have RSS Feeds to the major news sites, so as soon as news breaks there we post them in their respected forums. 98 has also been doing a stellar job since he came back. We have plenty of work to do but I think we can do it, it just takes time, just like it will take GM time to recover.
  11. It's not like it's some unheard of concept. The BMW makes a coupe, convertibles, sedan, and wagon version of the 3-Series, so I see no reason why Cadillac can't do it, and so I'm glad they are. The CTS Wagon is great for people put off by the new SRX. Since the old SRX was basically a wagon anyway, it basically fills the same spot...only it's much more sexy.
  12. That is a really cool looking cabin.
  13. You're behind Camino, Z06, and myself.
  14. Saw a white Mustang convertible Numerous Fusions Several Camaros, including a black LT that was behind me for a bit.
  15. Oh yeah, I replaced the faulty seat memory switch so now I an actually use that feature.
  16. I haven't been following, but many airliners have had a list of major design issues that had to be corrected. The DC-10 comes to mind.
  17. LHF = LH Forums for future clarification. The 300M having the evaporator core replaced. Dealer charges around $1,000 and we can see why. We started at 10am and it wasn't finished until midnight.
  18. I haven't taken one apart on a LeSabre, but I would imagine there's a piece of plastic covering where the mirror is mounted on the inside of the door. You would take that off, either by pulling on them (if it uses brackets) or unscrewing it), then there should be 2-3 bolts you undo to take off the mirror. Like I said, I haven't done it before on a LeSabre, so I would just practice on one you don't want at the yard.

  20. Spent the weekend in North Brookfield attending my first meet and modfest. I can honestly say I haven't had so much fun in a long time. Great food, great people, great cars, and lots of laughs. I posted what was done to my car in it's own thread. I thought I'd share some from the rest of the meet with everyone who enjoys working on cars.
