  1. I would have loved to have the Coupe 60 exist...wouldn't care who sold it.
  2. I think I'll cop out and right "book" on my face and call it a day. Anyway the big plans are for the trip in 7 hours to Holland's Used Auto for All You Can Carry Day.
  3. Sounds good, PM me and I can give you contact info.
  4. smk: always ,making excuses for everyone that isn't Cadillac. If the results were different you would bitch about teh CTS-V and GM not doing a good job with DOHC and 90 speed automatic + 400 way seats that are heated, cooled, and scratch your ass.
  5. Shadow's got them.
  6. I hate prop rods, coil springs For The Win.
  7. Perhaps so, but I have to balance the car fun with bills and food, and they come first sadly.
  8. It i fun isn't it? Anyway, struts are easy. They're probably a clip the keeps each strut end on its mount that you remove. You'll just want to have something (or someone) to support the weight of the hood when you start doing this.
  9. Boy I wish I had that kind of disposable income to throw at a third car that needs thousands in work.
  10. Cambridge is right next to Boston, so about the same distance. 30-40 minutes up 93N.
  11. If it is bolted in all he needs is a socket set and screwdrivers. I dunno if there's a special technique on B-Bodies for removing door panels, but on all my cars its unscrew a few screws and pull. Hate doing it on the Intrepid because every time a stupid plastic fastener brakes and I have to get another....but that's besides the point. Really all he would need help wise would be someone to hold up the window. Makes it easier (if its just bolts).
  12. Buy one of his cars and he'd appreciate more I bet.
  13. Since the 11-12 is a weekday I won't have the energy to make the drive to Boston after work. Howevber, Lawrence is only 30-40 minutes north of Boston. I'm right off I93 exit 46. Would love to meet another C&G member.
  14. So does GM rivet or bolt the regulators into the doors? If it bolts its an easy job. If its rivets it is a bit og a PITA. Ford riveted them regulators in the GM. What a Pain that was...took like 2 hours just to get it out. The Prizm's were bolted in and took a but a half hour to replace the driver's door regulator.
  15. Wonder if that roof would fit on a Sky and what it would look like?
  16. Not yet, want to though.
  17. Welcome to the site!
  18. I actually emailed a guy about an S6000 for sale today.
  19. Naw it was the side street next to the pizza place i used to work at.
  20. S6000?
  21. The old ones would spin in the rain from a stop very easily. It was always a pain if you were trying to turn quickly from a stop. Although yes, I have spun the tires on dry ground before in it.
  22. This generation is actually my favorite of the Firebird.

  24. Well I finally got around to giving the Prizm some lovin' and bought it some new front tires and got it a front end alignment. The tires had dry rot and it was pulling bad to the right. I talked with the shop. they had cheap tires but of course they were Chinese junk. The receptionist (who handles tires and phone calls and so on) recommended Bridgestone Insignias, more pricey but she said they were worth it. Good all weather traction and 65k life. So $210 later teh fronts are new. Will do the rears before the first rotation is due. It's like driving a new car. The wobble is gone (the tires were worn improperly), and it goes straight down the road, not fighting me to go right. It was raining tonight and they didn't spin one bit, whereas the old ones, even when new, did. They get my approval.
  25. This can be the case, but a lot of cases are such as that once the initial problems are corrected it will give you many happy miles. Friend of mine bought a `01 2.7 Intrepid for $300 which teh owner said that the engine had a knock and was no good. The problem was a bad harmonic balancer pulley. He replaced it, changed the fluids, and now has a daily driver. The thing is in amazing shape. Paint has no blemishes or dings, not even swirls. Was talking to him yesterday and he was telling me he had every confidence in the world about taking it across country right now (was telling him about my trip). Honestly, the only big issue you have is the starter. The other stuff is easy (unless GM riveted the regulators in like Ford did, then it's a bit of a PITA but not hard...just time consuming). Make little weekend projects out of the other things. You'll find it very rewarding to do your own work. Post pics too!
