Computer Question For Camino
Intrepidation replied to Intrepidation's topic in Electronics and Technology
So you've either for 2 128 meg sticks and a 64 meg stick of Ram in there or one 256 meg stick and a 64 meg stick of Ram in there. Weird. Well, if if it ever craps the bed or you find yourself wanting it to go a "bit" faster, you could consider this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883241016 and maybe some sound http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121014 -
Great writeup as always bobo. Here's to an eve better 2010!

Just got done with the movie and cleaned the food up. A good night overall, nothing crazy but I prefer it that way.

Cheers and Gears Drives: 2010 GMC Terrain SLE-2

Unless you're blind you can plainly see that there is a gap misalignment. Would it be a deal breaker for me? Well if I liked everything else about the car, no. It's not a huge deal, but the point is if GM can line them up in the Equinox they should be able to do it in the Terrain. GM isn't trying to be good enough, or they shouldn't be, they should be trying to be the best. It's all about the details. -
Maybe its because your computer is almost as old as your Blazer? It literally took 2 seconds (I timed it) from the moment I clicked the link to this thread to the thread page being loaded.

I find this as fast or faster than the old one. Much more intuitive to use, works better for moving topics, edit posts, and find things. In fact my only small complaint is that the show all emotes link no longer opens a separate window, and the size of the worthless emote makes for a lot of side scrolling in the little box.

Well...recent posts are now part of "view new content" (up at the right corner) because not only can you view new posts (which is under "forum"), but recent member activity, new members, gallery, calendar, help files, etc.

I wonder if that old Caravan would start if I hooked the battery up to it...haven't run it in 4-5 years.
-
Well the car had sat mostly since August (obviously not 20 years but whatev). I got a used battery for it in November so I could move it around, but they hard didn't have the right size and it could never really start the car after sitting for more than a day. Decided just to get a new battery with a warranty. No point in getting into a pissing match with you since you're older than me and most of the cars you deal with are older than my cars' ages combined. All I've done to it since it sat was change the oil, add p/s fluid (it slowly leaks it somewhere), replace an engine ground wire, replace the corroded battery terminal connectors, and plugs the power seat switch back in. Looking forward to being able to reverse it again.

Insured and re-registered the Grand Marquis Monday, got a battery for it today. Duralast Gold. It was about 20 degrees and it hadn't been started or taken around the block in at least a month. It was 22 degrees. Fired right up, took it for a 10 mile drive through traffic, back roads, and some highway. Works like a champ. Next week it's getting a "new" transmission.

_ Toyota Led All Automakers With Most Recalled Vehicles in 2009 In the midst of recalls for sudden acceleration issues, frame rot, and other issues, Toyota has the "honor" of best ever number of recalls in 2009 with a staggering 4.87 million cars and trucks effected. Ford, with its ongoing issue of older cruise control systems, was second place with 4.52 million vehicles. Without the years-old cruise control issue, Ford would have had posted best year ever. General Motors rounded out the top three, with 2.24 million recalls announced in 2009. Chrysler actually had a good 2009 - at least when it comes to recalls - with just under 600,000 vehicles affected. Toyota led all automakers with most recalled vehicles in 2009

This coming from the guy who thinks he can make interior material judgments based on a couple press photos. Panel misalignment is something you can actually deduce from photos. At least the color shades match. I Terrain at the auto show had a different shade of lower dash plastic than the center stack plastic it met with. -

I do like the interior of this a lot. Still prefer the Equinox though. -
Now that is a cool (warm?) blanket!

Is it a shirt? I can't tell.

This, well what original few parts remain, is my build from `06. I just realized the PSU is only 600W and not 650W like I thought... With the update from Xmas, I figure she'll get one last hurrah before I work toward my next big build, which will be a year or so off.

I'm using my RAIDMAX SAGITTA 1 ATX-921WBP Black / Silver case. Because the fan I got is so massive it wouldn't actually fit in the front panel, so I had to move it to the back and move the Thermaltake A2018 to the front. CPU cooler is stock. Idles 27-30C with the CPU multiplier at 4x.

Maybe I should have kept turning the adjustment bolt. It just didn't seem like it was getting the alternator to move any more...plus I have no idea if the bolt would pop out or not and if it did how the hell would I get it to re-thread when I can't even see the bloody thing.
