  1. These are amazing numbers indeed (and almost exactly what I had been predicting for some time now). For those that understand the performance machine this is, I mean 1.05 g, that's as good as a freakin Lotus Elise, it will be well worth the money spent over the already powerful performance Vettes of before. As for the run-flats, yes this car would run even better on non run-flats, as there are still some sacrifices to be made in the sidewalls versus non run-flats. I don't know why somebody spending $70k wouldn't just have a membership to the auto club anyways? Just get them to change your tire or tow it.

    Buick Velite

well razor that's what I've been saying all along. There IS a business case for this car if it starrted around the prices you listed, maybe even as low as 27k, with the 3.2 engine standard, but with at least 240 hp standard. This is a Buick, it should be powerful, and refined, and sexy, and mysterious.....all of which this car embodies so well. I agree with Harley, this car is simply too beautiful not to produce.
  3. it just looks so damn good in these pictures. This review is perfect too. Sounds like an incredible car.
  4. That Spyder is nothing short of gorgeous. Alfa will have good fortunes here.
  5. The interior has too many pieces from the 9-3, and I'm sure GM will turn around and put this exact interior into a refreshed 9-3, since the refreshed 9-5 is similar in theme to this. The outside I'm not so fond of, it's probably the angles, but it just looked so much better in concept form, and I'm afraid the rims really did make a lot of the difference. It just doesn't look so good from these pictures, and I do agree with a lot here that it looks like a Malibu with a Caddy badge because of the overall similar profile.
  6. Hmmm...it looks really good in the ams pictures. I like it. I think it's amazing how Saab can manage such detail changes that change the overall appearance of the car just enough to make it look fresh. It looks pretty good, I like the wagon a lot.

Joshypoo really, what was up with that?? the leprechaun bit is right on......kudos to the author here
  8. Totally do it; it's a way creative idea, and you could take several looks at it over the time you've owned it (if you remember differences in feel). Include pictures, hell even make a timeline of history if you want! Tell us if you would ever purchase this car again, and what's your favorite and least favorite aspect of it.

CHA CHING! Laughed when I read that. Satty as Harry is hilarious. I don't even want to take that title away from him, but just use it as much as possible.
  10. The GTP version seriously looks hot, on the road and in person. Those wheels just fill the wheelwells so nice and make it look a lot sportier and more of a serious sports car contender.

oh my.......colorado humping, oh my... this thread is definitely back in full swing when there's Colorado humpin' and disappearing nipples only
  13. Well, Zeta will most likely show up on the next GTO and a Pontiac sedan, possibly. Zeta was always the name for the North American version of Holden's RWD Commodore platform (VE). Zeta will probably also underpin the next MC replacement, most likely a Chevelle, and a Buick coupe and sedan. Camaro will be on a different platform, that is basically a cheapened Sigma; it is also very likely that a sedan will come off of that platform, and this is totally unrelated to Zeta. So Zeta basically got postponed. EDIT: anyone want to confirm or deny anything I said, or add to it?

All right, so even though this thread has been hijacked by a certain menstruating person.....I got around to getting an image hosting account just for this, never done that before, easy enough. And I figured since no one here knows what I look like, I might share that with you, it's pretty new and crazy to me because I'm kinda private, but here it goes

Never once took any offense. You should be ashamed, honesty and forthrightness are not admirable qualities in a man. And well timed jokes are not acceptable around here either. I hope wp appreciates the sincerity of what you're saying. For long I have seen [some of his] posts filled with bitterness towards the site. It's not necessary, take it somewhere else and be done with it. Oh, and just for the record, this site rules over GMI....(just try reading a thread about the Camaro, and you will see how uninformed most there are, just goes to show how much better the content of this site is....)
  16. the g6 coupe actually looks real cool in gtp form, the big wheels make up for the excessive wheelbase. From afar and in motion it also has a very cool profile, and definitely looks like a fastback. It's a hot car, I think it will do well, wish it came with the GTP rims all around, cause the GT rims suck on it.
  17. The two lower intakes on the front fascia are pig-like. The grille is too small for a Saab. There is no way this is the real thing. If it is, the lower intakes will make me puke at the idiocy.
  18. Agreed that one thing to change the tide in California, FL, TX, and other affluent sunbelt states would be good-looking cars with some performance to back it up. Ultimately, MB, BMW, Acura, Infiniti all become status symbols through good product, plain and simple. Cadillac is on that same road to success, in CA too. LA is mostly made up of the elite, and when you get outside of the elite you get all imports. I mean all imports. GM should thank thier lucky stars for the GMT900 platform, if it weren't for that, they would be practically non-existant in LA. Practically non-existant. Back to the car concentrations, the elite are made up of BMWs, Lexus, and MBs for the most part; LA is driven by image. Volvos are to be found, as Jaguars, Saabs, and some Audis, and a whole crapload of Escalades and Hummers. Mustangs are pretty popular too, but for the most part, CA is just like any other state. Whatever is hot is desired by many, and whatever is hot is because of design and desirable features. Cadillac's next lineup of vehicles will be very desirable to Californians, because of one main feature: upscale design. But a cool RWD performance sedan and coupe will also really make it in LA.

    ZO6!

I think it's much faster than that, extra 105 hp and it's only 12 mph faster? I don't know, it's damn cool though, 198 is super fast anyways
  20. Cobalt was compared against a few others. It's not good. Edmunds
  21. Thanks for addressing that concern of mine. I just would like to know what is being done in the future, and how can we influence it. Buicks have got to be dynamic, beautiful, dynamite designs with luxury intentions, they should be a Jaguar and Lexus-intender, no kidding, don't stop short. The Velite had the beauty and the guts within it (RWD and great powertrains) to really elevate the brand. I guess my concern is just that GM has shown us what great potential this brand has in the right hands, and I want to know that the brand will be receiving the right kinds of products. Mainly Velite, and any other beautiful, lifestyle cars, that's what I see Buick of the future as, a statement on your life, you have that excess money that you can spend on a carefree luxurious and special automobile.
  22. LaNeve has done his homework. He speaks absolute truth. Toyota has supplanted all other brands as the regular do-it-all brand everyone turns to because their cars are so good for the common man not looking for much more than a comfortable car with an air of elegance that is reliable. That's all he means, and when you've got that power, it's a much greater death knell than sales figures are. Toyotas will for years be America's brand, the brand people will always turn to. How far down that list do you think Chevrolet is? How many people actually go with by choice as opposed to value proposition?
  23. I know we will see more Buicks down the line, when the core products have been solidified. I couldn't have put it better than red said, and the idea of profit from solid-selling profitable vehicles that hit the target in the marketplace is exactly where my thinking is coming from. My problem is which 3 products is he talking about. If he is referring to the Lacrosse, Lucerne, and Centieme, then it will be one hell of a fight. The way the Centieme is shaping up, if it's priced similar to the RDV, I could see it doubling on the volume of the RDV, absorbing some of the volume from the sedans as well. The Lucerne and Lacrosse are not the audacious, elegant, proud Buicks they should be though, and they are not fully up to the times. It is yet to be seen how the Lucerne will do, and it should do well enough, however the Lacrosse needs to be seriously replaced, or not considered a part of those three vehicles.
  24. isn't the vue getting redesigned for 08?
  25. Just saw a G6 coupe driving down the road for the first time. It's pretty tall, but very well proportioned. In motion and in profile it looks very good, not different enough to be stunning, but very good in profile. Pretty sure it was the gTP since the wheels looked really good in motion and you could see the big old calipers. The car is all Pontiac, especially the rear.
