  1. What I can't beleive is companies will pay for curing someone's erectile disfunction...
  2. I think the sooner all three come out the better. It'd be nice if they were released around January-February timeframe, right around the time when snow is covering 65% of the country, and SUV sales benefit most. When exactly do these things come out. I thought part of the acceleration program that benefitted the 900s also benefitted Lambdas and Thetas....
  3. But then it would be just another Lucerne, they're already very close to each other in exterior size. I hope they don't do that. I do know one thing, if this is just a grille change, they sure are taking mighty long to get that new grille to us. The Malibu that just had the grille change, came what two model years after it came out? Well, I know for a FACT a grille change takes something like three months to test and validate, a very short period of time and a relatively easy and inexpensive design change. Changing the headlight design takes a lot more time since there is a lot of testing to do, various safety tests, durability tests, etc, etc...So GM could be readying a refreshed LAcrosse with Buick's new design theme, to accompany the Velite, Buick sedan and coupe, around 2008 model year.
  4. because they're in the cool group, you and I are the slackers against the wall trying to get in.... :D :P
  5. It's a nice addition and makes the car look better. I'm not a big fan of this design on its own anymore, it just doesn't seem modern when I look at it, the rear and side mostly, the front is still attractive.

I think you were joking, but just in case that's Mike Myers... http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  7. Being from Chicago, I know how much my city wants this, so I am rooting for them. I also just happen to beleive they will win.
  8. I wish I could see what the CTS looked like, my PM box is pretty empty http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif
  9. That song is the worst song that every stupid person in America will make popular I have heard in a long time. Those lyrics are the worst lyrics ever. Worst Episode Ever
  10. That is the biggest joke of a credible song list in the history of the entire universe.

  12. griffon already said it's the MCE for the Escape, did anybody listen to that? It's nice, I happen to like the grille and the headlights, they should make it to production as is. But this is just a refresh, nothing too drastic. The Eck looks better than it.
  13. Hmmm... very good review, although I just know this car is a real competitor to the 30k entry level crowd, not the M45/GS/STS crowd. I guess in pricing though it sort of straddles both. I think it will do well, at least better than before. it is very distinctive
  14. Congratulations. Awesome color choice, the rims on the GTP are fantastic; be sure to take pics and post a review when you do get it, we want your opinion on it
  15. yes and no. I love the concept of bringing back the sweet wonderful and awesome 240sx [my first car], but this design ultimately fails to excite. Go back to the drawing board and pull out something more like the Skyline, Nissan, and you will have a gigantic hit on your hands. Start the price at around 24k for a 200 hp version with low weight of around 3200 lbs (they can accomplish that, even lower!), and price the turbo version no more than 27k with 300 hp, and you would have a HUGE Camaro competitor.
  16. That is effin gorgeous. WOW, just beautiful profile. The rear has so much Corvette in it, just shows how good the C6 could have gotten had Chevy taken more design risks. The inset tailights are so wonderfully executed. Everything on this car is so "surfaced", the surfaces are so "flat", it's beautiful.
  17. No, I think the proportions are damn good on this car, but then they would be since they are an almost direct copy from the 5-series. Lexus' adaptation of the Bangle butt is also very well executed here, I like it a lot. The design is very sporty and the inset headlights are a really nice touch. Lexus/Toyota really know how to keep design consistency over the generation while updating the designs. But this still doesn't even come close to matching the stately elegance and refined performance look of the A8 or even the 7-series, those cars styling tricks are overall much more daring and original but still incredibly executed. The overtones of S-class in the front are still not completely absent and become even more apparent with the new headlights, overall this won't come close to being style trendsetter.
  18. I've been thinking about this and wanted to start a thread about it because it's so unbelieveable this practice still exists and the US has done nothing about it. Just how much do the tarriffs increase the average price of a Cavalier or Corvette, since I know those are about the only American cars that sell in Japan. This is probably the most backhanded thing any company can do, not because Japan Inc are selling so extraordinarily well, but because of all the other pressures in addition to this ridiculous form of trade GM must follow in Japan. So if anyone knows what the real price difference becomes, can they speak up about it? Does this make anyone else as mad as me. The JApanese sell extraordinary amounts of cars, how would they like it if we did the same thing thier protectionist government does to us. Is it fair that we can't look out for our own industry here? We allow everyone else to take advantage of the glorious American dollar, but other countries have to use practices such as these to stop us from selling product in their market?
  19. It will be the comeback of the century if [when] GM can finally rid itself of much of that baggage. Literally, when you think you've solved all the issues at GM, and roughed it out for years, another 50,000 creeping dillemmas present themselves.
  20. great job of bringing that background to life I like what you did with the G6 too, should be an interesting competition
  21. I was talking about the grainy pics from here: http://www.autospies.com/article/index.asp...3&categoryId=21 thanks to cspec for the link. going back and looking at them I will say the car looks like it will be very well-detailed, it will be more aggressive than the white camo car is letting on and more aggressive of course than the current version, but not enough imo....the most disappointing aspect is the fascia that looks like a Honda/Mazda, the headlights look like the TL or 6 and the grille obviously looks Mazda-like. I think many cars will have this look already by then, and thus my consensus is it won't be anything groundbreaking.
  22. Polish Kris, when you say "most of us have a shallow perspective", you yourself are having a shallow perspective. Take your own advice and don't judge to quickly... OC, I do agree with you on the attributes of the Camry. To me some of the best things about the Camry are its smooth, quiet suspension easy dynamics silky engine wonderfully crafted [I didn't say designed] interior on the con side those "easy dynamics" are also damn boring if you have any desire to actually handle that car in any sporting manner. The suspension wallows a lot a W-body, imo.... BUT.....with regards to design....well I just find the current Camry to be quite.....geriatric and disgusting almost. The cominbation of a very high beltline, mixed with regular Toyota vanilla styling, mixed with zero sleekness, and you have an incredibly boring design I'd be ashamed to drive if I was sixty, leave that to the 70-year olds! Bottom line, would I take it? Hell ya, give it to me for free and I will take pride in it. Would I CHOOSE it? No way, not a chance, the VW, Mazda, Honda, Nissan, and maybe a used BMW or Audi dealer would be the first ones to see my business in this scenario. As to Malibu being queen of dull. Well until this refresh with the removal of the chrome bar, I thought the Malibu had some personality. Yes, at first I thought it was indescribably ugly, but then I started to like from some angles, and grew to appreciate it. That personality made it acceptable above the Camry. Now that the chrome bar is gone, well I think it is incredibly boring looking and just as dull ash the Cmary.
  23. :) heh. okay.....TB retains BOF platform for years to come since that is what is working and gets a decent MCE with the interior. Envoy disappears, replaced by Acadia, because of the investment required to do the differentiation of interior and exterior was too great. Chevrolet also gets Lambda SUV, somewhere down the line, eventually the plan is for this to become the replacement of GMT 361. But this plan doesn't consider factory capacity......%$##@@ throw us a bone?
  24. Agreed, all of what we are saying here is speculation, based on a few insider tips. BOF midsize SUVs still, most likely, will be around for another decade or five years at least. As always, things change with GM, and escalating fuel costs are a concern and a good reason not to fund development of BOF midsize SUVS as has been stated here by evok and others. So they could or could not be continuing with the TB and Envoy, but they definitely are deciding on the future of investments for these products at this moment. I don't see why fuel isn't a concern with the crossovers though, since they will have relatively large engines and hefty curb weights being the size they are. I can definitely understand why one would say there is no need for a car like the current TB with its inefficient use of space when you have a Lambda that will approach the interior space of a Tahoe, or surpass it, all in a tidy package. One thing is certain, the Lambda will be a much better package, and will handle and ride much much better than RDV or TB, so GMTRuckGuy you can at least be less concerned with that.
