because harry was the one to coin the term "joshypoo"

Tupac is my favorite rapper. Besides having a distinct, and original message that changeed lives in many cases, he had good beats and changed his style all the time. So much of rap is just rehashes of the last good song, whereas back in that time Hail Mary was as different as night and day from California Love or Life Goes On.

We all need to take a break from these pictures and just wait until the final pictures come out. We have seen nothing yet, read no reviews on the Tahoe or Yukon and already some here are spelling doom. The GMT-800s when they came out were even more conservatvie then this of a redesign. Do you remember the previous Chevy pickups and Tahoe? In do, and when the 800s were released they just became rounded. I don't see any edge in that. Let's not get our panties all twisted here ladies, and wait to bitch until the final photos give us REASON to bitch. Until then, this Escalade looks evolutionary, more than I had hoped, but we still don't see the full picture, ALL of the important details are still undercover!!!!!

240 parts and labor probably can get expensive (though I never thought they were terrible on my car); but things don't go wrong often on them. My car was in three major accidents and still it rode and drove like brand new, and had hardly any relability issues. The engine purred and revved like a much newer engine than the 150k miles it had.

it's going to be a great year for cars

All i am doing is speculating. One thing I know for sure is GM will not botch the Camaro. Take a quote from Fbodfather, "car manufacturers can't make mistakes with cars anymore," [not verbatim]. There are so many people fighting for this car to be the greatest Camaro ever that it will be faithful to the original interpretation of the Camaro--basically a Chevy version of the Mustang. Whatever sedan is built off this platform, or sedans, I'm sure will be different and probably flexible in terms of length and width.

The Monte needs to be gone yesterday, it is a blight on GM's image. I'm glad it will be gone soon, and the Camaro will sell much much mroe than 40k/year, which dutifully and bewilderingly the MC is doing now. No offense to any MC owners, it just sorely needed to not be released in this bodystyle back in 2000, now it's just a rental vehicle. Thanks evok for the information, and I'm glad you mentioned potential Camaro volume, I am just glad you have enthusiasm for it. With the MC gone that almost means Camaro is like a spiritual successor to it, which points to the Impala being the sedan counterpart to it, on RWD platform. We already know the next Malibu will grow in width and length to be similar in interior space to the W-bodys.

hmmjmm...he's pretty obviously talking about touring. it's a nice song, clearly "when i'm gone just carry on" is for hayley, but it also applies to his fans...although "rejoice when you hear my voice"? It sounds like his retirement plan is a serious deal. He's incredibly wealthy, could always come back later on if wanted to and make a big splash, he's leaving his fans at the peak of his career, and in the old days when some arists released their greatest hits album it meant their stage career was over. this song would be a great note to go out on, now it'll be interesting to hear the other one.

dude, that's the one, awesome car, even go back further to the 90 and 91-94, that generation looked pretty nice too.

Croc, I wasn't calling you a moron, I'm sorry if it came off like that. As guion put it though, you can't logically think a V8 Camaro will be the only trim level. Furthermore, you just can't walk around with that kind of swagger acting like you know everything about this car when you haven't doen enough research or clearly you don't know enough about the Camaro to make those kinds of claims. You say you don't hang off the words of evok, but then you hang off the words of ah-ha in the same exact post.

it's a very old, outdated listing of GM's upcoming products. Most of the information listed is incorrect, there will be no GMC envoy XUV or XL for example, and the refresh will be coming but maybe later than the date listed.
-
guion, it's unfortunate the XTS was pushed back again, especially possibly after 2010, Cadillac really needs this car to complete the three sedan lineup. Thanks for keeping us hopeful regarding the approval time of RWD programs, I'll keep thinking the most positive thing.

Sixty, my thoughts and prayers are with you right now. You have it hard, this is a tough situation, but you need to consider the positives. First, it sounds like there is love there, on both ends. You need to work out whatever is causing regret in both of you, and really contemplate and go over together what these wrongs are. You, sly need to evaluate how much Marcia means to you and what you're willing to do for her. And you need to think about what kind of changes need to take place in you before you can request change from her. You love your daughter, so stop this talk about death. Get it out of your head, because you won't do it. You care too much about your life and your daughter's and even Marcia's. The more you contemplate the more you are incurring a negative spirit inside of you, the more you're feeding it. You know what they say about suicide? If you really wanted to do it, you would have already. I know you're strong enough to get past those feelings, however bad they may be. If you really want my honest opinion, you need to pray about it. Just ask God what you need to do. Ask for peace. Talk to Him, and you will see some improvements. There is still hope, and you need to tell Marcia to really think about what her life was like in childhood. How did living with both her parents affect her growth. Or living with just one parent? She needs to think about her own childhood and how different influences affected her. It sounds to me like she is being very selfish. You are also being selfish with your time with her. You both need to spend more time together, and work things out together. Oh, and if she wants to hang out with this platonic guy friend, maybe you can go along? It just doesn't seem like a good thing for her to be doing right now. Would you randomly go over to a woman's house at this time? I hope everything starts to improve. Get yourself out of the clouds.

you've really got to check those cars out BV. The MR2 is pretty much a modern interpretation of the Fiero, with Ferrari looks and Toyota reliability, and a sweet-ass turbo mid-engine design. The MR2 is possibly my favorite [cheap] car of the '90's. The Integra is also pretty bad-ass, but the most you'll find are pretty beat up, and, for me at least, the integra wasn't worth it unless it was a gs-r or type r. The other link i showed you was a Nissan 240sx, trust me on this you have to drive it to understand why so many of us are pushing you towards it. It's cheap, it's RWD, it's a good-looking car [mine had a front end bra that hid the wierd headlight quirk, other mods can be done to the headlights to make it look more modern, and rims really do something for this design], and it runs fast and reliably. If you can find one in your area i suggest you drive it....

It has to do with the fact that unless Buick and GM produce some incredible competition-beating products, they are not just going to steal away happy customers. And we're not just talking "happy" customers, these are customers who expect no less than the best, in terms of sound engineering and quality. It's not anything media related, no, talk to a Toyota customer and ask them if they're satisfied. That's what GM is up against.
-
no question for me, the first one is much better and original and evocative of sexiness.

well put

I think we need to identify what's important to you? For example, if reliability really important to you, then you should focus in on Japanese and some GM models, otherwise you will get a car that requires a lot of fixing. Do you want fast? Do you want economical? Do you want stylish? IF you answered yes to the above questions and practicality is not high on your list, then I have two words for you: HOT STUFF Nissans of the 90's were terrific cars with great reliability equal imo, mostly, to Honda Toyota. These are two very desirable cars. But there are many more. I wouldn't have a problem with you getting an F-body though buddy, take care.
-
Agreed. It's a very good economical car for cheap money. For more extreme utility I would go for the Maxx.

The argument against this thinking is that GM has already done plenty of work on the Sigma-lite chassis that would be serving the Camaro and sedans. Lots more work than we think has been done to on the Camaro; a 5th gen design has been cliniced already!!! It's very possible, and from guion's statements over on CZ28 GM should be back in the volume RWD business in 36 months. It's too large of a market to ignore! RWD means profit. Look at the 300 and the pricing it can achieve, it actually realisitcally sells above 30k unlike the Lacrosse which just MSRPs for that. 300, Mustang, Magnum and Charger sales have proven that customers will accept RWD as long as the wrapper is attractive and the car is a well thought out design. It's always always always been about engineering, quality, and design. This should never have changed. RWD or FWD, it doesn't matter. RWD is inherently more fun though and it has more design potential.

I HATE to turn this thread away and would love for my comment to be the last on this board ever about this subject. but that's not gonna happen. A V6 Camaro is a necessity just like the Cobalt is a necessity for the HHR to even exist. Volume and unit sales drive profit. Economics of scale is a simple concept. Croc, why do you insist on arguing something so illogical? I don't want to turn this thread back around so I'll back off, but you know NOTHING about this car. There's so many reasons not to speculate about engine choices, that this is quite possible the dumbest argument for me to enter into right now, but you're an easy target. Most of us here don't know anything concrete on the Camaro, but your rants go on endlessly stating heresay like they were facts. Think logically for a moment. You haven't done enough research or put enough thought into this if you think GM would let potential volume alone. Let alone the fact that Chevy is the VOLUME division, for mainstream people, they have no business making a CAMARO FOR ONLY RICH PEOPLE!!!!!!! Here we are 2005 and that same GTOs future you speak is completely uncertain. WHY EVER in any world would GM make the exact same business case over again, especially in these times? I suggest you drop it. OKAY, back to the subject at hand, I would LOVE for this concept to have the 2nd Gens roofline, absolutely LOve it. Also, the quad taillights would be awesome. Those two features alone make me crazy thinking of how bad I just want the 2nd gen or 1st gen Camaro design reinterpreted in a modern car.

Solstice Production Boosted; Saab Kappa Considered
turbo200 replied to Bimmer325's topic in General Motors
Save the 325 hp ecotec for cadillac and make it standard, Caddy styling and interior. Roadsters for all! Seriously, would this be a bad scenario? Though I don't know if Saab really needs one, more importantly they need a new 9-5 and 9-3 and more cars and trucks, with drop dead gorgeous Saab distinctive styling. -
Incredible. I will try and be there during public days, maybe I can meet some C&Gers there. I have held hope and as time gets closer it becomes more and more reality. I just hope they show it in different colors and different trims, you know not just one version of it?

hey, I'm in LA, even better, there are more members close by, they can all come by and take a look! ya, congrats dude, it's gonna be sweet
