  1. haha glad to see you havent stopped digging for classics 68 that catalina is pretty nice, but i've developed a thing for the 1967 variety, figures i'd pick the bodystyle that stuck around for only a year... just my luck
  2. ew... the body looks far too big for everything except the wheels and the air vents in the front fascia... the grill should be larger... reach farther down the fascia maybe, the headlights are way to small... and the tallights may as well not be there... easy fix... shrink the wheel size and lower the entire car... get rid of the excess space in the middle... great idea otherwise... but design wise... not the best
  3. hmmm... Hatchbacks or wagons (most CUVs are included here)... if i want more cargo room.. ill buy an SUV thank you any kind of 4 cylinder engine in any vehicle that is not a sports roadster sky/solstice/miata type car any kind of engine that doesnt make a nice noise when i hit the accelerator lack of performance floaty suspension any car which would not look out of place with a news station playing on the radio... exceptions can be made at times to this rule not offered in black or red (deep, almost blood red preffered) tentatively... any foreign car... i say tentatively because they may at some point... build a car i like... and then it would no longer be a deal breaker... as of right now... any foreign car i like the styling of... costs far too much money for me to even consider an overpriced and/or overrated car any car that is advertised on the basis that you can rice it out as much as you damn well please... especially if said manufacturer exclusively builds awkward looking hatchback monstrocities *cough*Scion*cough*
  4. not really... Oakland got their QB only 2 years ago... look for them to take an Offensive lineman... 70+ sacks on the season... they need QB protection more than anything... The lions will still get Brady Quinn... fresh out of Notre Dame... unfortunately... going to Detroit he will continue with his severe case of Peyton Manning Syndrome (great QB, poor team, chokes in the big games)
  5. mmm burgers... i love red meat i usually use 2 patties cooked medium... 3 slices of cheese cheddar or american, either will do, one on top one in between and one on bottom depending on my mood itll either get ketchup... or bacon and BBQ sauce, usually the latter but every now and then just ketchup will do no other condiments... why mess with perfection?
  6. AMC gets the nod from me... everyone remembers the Gremlin and the Pacer... but they all forget about the Javelin, the AMX, the Rambler and the whole Jeep brand... for the few years they survived under Chrylser they actually conrtrolled more than Chrysler did, their designers were designing the cars, their engineers were building them, but then something happened and Chrysler abandoned an automaker who IMO wouldve fared much better than Plymouth in the 90s and the present
  7. eh... bmw needs to re-evaluate its design direction... its so boring... they all look the same to me... angel eye headlights... twin port grill... and that random crease down the side... *yawn* by the way, if you want a good laugh... read the posts on the site... "shiny window surrounds" you mean chrome? hooray for being uneducated about cars and insisting on talking about them...
  8. i agree with a lot of the things said here, and definitely agree that it is very sad that Generation X has become so "snooty" and they all prefer a BMW to any domestic product simply because the BMW is a BMW... however, to this sad thread i would like to offer some hope last year was my senior year in high school. I went to an all boys private school in Bergen County, NJ which pretty much makes it chock full of children of late-era boomers and some Gen-X BMW driving snobs who look down upon domestic automakers, it was a pretty bleak outlook. However, amongst the slew of BMWs and Mercedes along with Audis and Lexuses, there were a few cars that were envied by most of the class. Not one of these cars, was made outside of the United States. Every single member of the class lusted after either one of the two 2006 mustang GTs, the 2005 Pontiac GTO or, as strange as this may sound to some of you, my Monte Carlo. I have a friend who drives a BMW 330i, and he loves his car, but after a ride in my car he said he wished he had asked for a Monte Carlo. So there is hope after all, it seems Generation Y sees the value of an American made performance machine, GM is not doomed just yet.
  9. mmm C3s... thats right and hatchbacks are STILL the work of the devil PS. youre reason left unmentioned for me did not go by unnoticed... and im sure you and Chris are very entertained...
  10. fixed
  11. sweet! my uncle has a black 72 GT that me and him are going to fix up once i get some free time... im not entirely educated on rancheros... did the 77s still have the fishmouth grill?
  12. i like how BMW only advertises horsepower... because the torque numbers are laughable compared to cars with similar horsepower numbers... like the M3... 333 horsepower... but only 240 ft/lbs... its a disaster but anyway... i dont like BMWs to begin with... stale styling, horrifying reliability and low torque per horsepower ratios make them a huge turn-off brand for me... not to mention how obscenely overpriced most of their stuff is... hmm... 55k for an M3... or 33K for the GTO thats faster than it... real hard choice...
  13. who thought that a hatch would look good anywhere? certainly not me... i do like the Trailhawk tho... altho i would raise the roofline up a bit... but that would probably happen in a production version anyway
  14. eh... never really been a fan... its so much heavier than the 'vette... and 0-60 under 4 is right where the new Z06 is (3.7)... so why pay so much more for a heavier, uglier car with a crappy interior? also... that new hood... is so overdone its insane... i hope it actually needs all those vents because if not... DCX needs to fire its entire American design studio and have they changed the lower air dam at all since they debuted this thing?
  15. wouldnt count on it... Dallas will win... but dont expect a blowout... they're on a downhill slide and i expect them to be out of the playoffs after the first game but back to the actual thread... sorry to hear about that CM... hope everything works out for you and at the very least the asshole who did this is caught and prosecuted
  16. that red firebird at the beginning of the gallery... is absolutely beautiful... and i want it
  17. reason #27 not to get on Spiderman's bad side
  18. lets see... Garden State Parkway between exits 153A and 137... when i was in high school i drove that stretch every weeknight going from my house to the gym and back and route 80 from Hasbrouck Heights to Stroudsburg/Bartonsville PA im not that familiar with the highway systems in Ohio yet... though i can get you from the OSU campus to Dublin pretty well... i think that involves 315,270 and 161
  19. oh if its a weekend then i might be able to get out there on the saturday for a little while is Carlisle easy to get to and/or close to the Stroudsburg/Bartonsville area?
  20. when in june is it? i have a small window of time between college and my summer job from june 6th to june 17th and that sounds like alot of fun
  21. + = garbage... and the most overdone "i swear im cool and performance oriented" design ive ever seen in my life
  22. im not even gunna go there... mainly because im sure everyone else will... some of them almost have some merit... and some are pretty much the stupidest thing ive ever seen posted on this forum
  23. 1. BMW 3 series 2. any Scion product 3. Lexus IS 4. Toyota Camry/Lexus ES 5. LX bodies 6. Honda Civic 7. Honda Ridgeline 8. BMW 5 series 9. Toyota Tundra 10. Infiniti G35/Nissan Z
  24. hmmm... that sucks... it mustve looked your millenia in the eyes or something... oh maybe it realized what it was sharing a driveway with and killed itself...
