  1. my van has 14" rims. i want to upgrade to factory 16" wheels, so i know they will fit, but is there a way to let the speedomete know the wheel/tire size has changed? i know i can fiddle with tire size to keep the same outer diameter so the van wont know the difference, but i think i would like the slightly bigger tires as well. because i am switching from factory base model to factory higher model parts, shouldnt there be some sort of internal setting available to me?
  2. are there any good sites like cheers and gears for other companies? a quality site, comparable to this one. and i miss car-truck.com. anyone know what happened to that guy?
  3. the picture didn't work for me, i'm bummed... BTW, the Aspen name was a spring package on the chrysler newport in the early to mid 70's, so really it has come full circle
  4. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051111/ap_on_...DNqBHNlYwM3NDk- it says there will be no change in current cooperative arrangements, but what of the future? weren't there supposed to be several joint projects in chryslers near future?
  5. i think the new escalade is ok, but not great. i never have caught on to the current caddy styling, and i think the sts is the best of the bunch right now. the most important thing to remember when saying the caddy is so much like the rest, show HOW FAR the chevy and gmc have stepped up in quality and execution. don't look at it like a tarted up tahoe, say instead that chevy is selling a dressed down escalade.
  6. i don't know about sedan, but wasn't the solstice coupe already in the future?

    HHR CONCEPT

i like the front, hate the rear, and am a little disappointed that GM is once again following the PT Cruiser's footsteps... maybe they will get ahead of Chrysler and actually produce this.
  8. that 300 is beautiful! they should produce it
  9. without this will GM have any competition for the mustang and sebring? they NEED a convertible that has more than two seats, even if it is a cobalt
  10. won't this be competing directly with their own PT cruiser? i think it's a dumb move to abandon the neon. the only reason the second generation failed is because they didn't try to keep the fun feeling of the original, it became a boring car that did no one thing well. except the last minute srt-4. i also think they should have kept the two door, and added a convertible. this is something the cobalt needs badly, a convertible. and dont say solstice or sky, that is a different demographic. think secretaries car. . .
  11. not in the details at all, but the overall shape. the arches over the headlights, the points at the upper corners where the grille area meets the hood. maybe the round foglamps if you squint.
  12. i knew there was something i couldn't place about the charger. . .
  13. so where does it end? isn't there a packaging issue with more cogs added? will it all just switch to CVTs in the end? there is only so much room under a car for the tranny, where will a 9 speed fit?
  14. whatever happened to the 4.8 V8? would it fit better? or is it externally so similar to the 5.3 that you might as well?
  15. OMFG!! that is hysterical. :P
  16. the bed sides look wrong to me, like it was a fake bed. or possibly a steel inner bed with composite sides?
  17. over at imageshack something doesnt look right, its like the humpback turtle g6...
  18. does this mean gm will shed other "less product friendly" divisions or partnerships? they need isuzu for small trucks, need saab for europe, do they need suzuki?
  19. overall i like it a lot, and i agree there seems to be a resemblance to the toyota highlander. im not so sure about the dash. its beautiful, but the center stack seems too wide, lots of wasted space on the sides. so, will the suburban be just like this but longer?
  20. you know, looking at the coupe rear for the first time im months, i am struck how much the taillights especially look like the g6 coupe. anyone else seeing this?
  21. when comparing pictures the filler cap in almost the EXACT place as the cadillac sts

    Dodge

i think that is a lot of the problem right there, no advertising. i cannot for the life of me remeber when i saw or heard, or read ANYTHING about the midsize cars from dodge or chrysler. and yet those charger commercials are on every break on every channel. -_-
  23. look closer, i think that center light isn't the backup, its the chmsl. it has red LEDs in the center. this is still odd however, because that the rear has no backups at all... (edit) oh, wait. nevermind, the picture hadn't loaded completely, i see what you mean. that is weird. and too low.
  24. and remember, there is no regular cab anymore. it is this or quad cab. i agree, is should have been lowered. they need to at least live up to the previous r/t
  25. now if only they would make the vertical body panels plastic. . .
