  1. Honestly, so what if the Aura is similar to the Stratus? The Stratus is/was a well designed car. Its not like the comparison is to an Accord or Camry or something. . .
  2. Me: Plymouth> Dodge> Oldsmobile> Chevrolet> Dodge Wife: Ford> Plymouth> Saturn
  3. That 72 is owned by the director Sam Raimi. It appears in every movie he has made except for "the quick and the dead" due to taking place in the old west. Especially look for it in the Evil Dead Trilogy
  4. heh, in the motor trend "cars of 2007" they list the G5 as being two door only, but the picture is of a four door. brilliant.
  5. hey, at least it didn't turn out to be this:
  6. does anyone have any better pictures of the beast than this? My Webpage

You know, the front end of the Chinese Lacrosse looks an awful lot like the final generation Mercury Sable. . .
  8. I don't know if this is the case anymore, but there have been cars that have all power locks and windows WITHOUT interior pulls. There was a famous case of a friend of Frank Sinatra in the late '80's who burned to death in his Jaguar that when the power cut out due to the fire, couldn't get out. Seems like a big safety liability issue to me. .
  9. Yeah, that's pretty much what I said too.

Is the new grille the one shown a few months back in the spy shots?
  11. Some Photoshopping opportunity, but the interesting part are the questions being asked in the survey. Are these pie in the sky ideas or do they know something? http://www.allpar.com/i/caliber-drawing.html
  12. I like it a lot. Better than a Malibu Better than a G6 Better than a Milan Better than a MKZ Better than Camry Better than Accord As good as Aura.
  13. Cool! Thank you, that is what I was looking for. Or at least it will do..
  14. There used to be a function called "my last posts" where I could see what i have commented on. Did we lose this? Can we get it back? Is there a way to do this that I just am not seeing?
  15. But if it is rated 40 city and 38 highway, why are they happy with 32 combined? Shouldn't it be more like 39 or so?
  16. All the more reason to eliminate the Tahoe. If you are needing that much space, buy a Suburban, if you need less, get the Trailblazer. With the Equinox, that gives you small, medium, large avoiding the unnecessary at Chevy Lambda. If the capacity is a problem, bring back the K-5 Blazer. Seemingly useless back when they killed it, there would be a niche market now, with the only competitor in the 2-door class the much smaller Jeep Wrangler. . .
  17. Now if they could just stretch the trunkspace. . .

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j74/thed...73/silvss07.jpg I fiddled a bit. I don't know, this helps a bit.. Is this the only safe place? Should I remove it from the showcase?
  19. i saw Cars with my kids this weekend, and my son was absolutely enthralled (he is 6). It has been Lightning McQueen this and that for weeks now, and after seeing the movie it hasn't changed. There was enough for me to enjoy as well, lots of appearances by famous people related to cars and racing. I can't wait until I have this for home viewing.
  20. and they messed up in that this isn't GMC's first non truck. Everyone forgets the Sprint and Caballero. . .

so why does chevy get two dips in the epsilon I pool? this is like the original gm-10s, there were two generations of lumina to one of everything else...
  22. i've always wondered why they didn't just count sales totals combined of vehicles that are similar, such as the impala, grand prix, and lacrosse (plus monte carlo). i'm sure the sales totals would outweigh the accord or camry/solara/es330...

overall I like it, the headlights are a nice way to clean it up, and i really dig the hood. as far as what the headlights are shaped like, one word.--AZTEC
  24. ugly. the arch roofline on crossovers and SUVs lately is just lame. worst offenders: Pontiac Vibe and Dodge Magnum. waste of interior storage space. bleah. the front is, for lack of a better word, lumpy.
  25. My 95 S-10 had terrible problems with the cooling system. Head gasket replacement, bad water pump, cracked radiator, overheated several times. I changed the coolant repeatedly due to sludging, I flushed the thing out probably a dozen times in the 8 years I owned it, including the work that was done. When I traded it, it was well on the way to needing another head gasket done. By this time I had also accumulated about 180k miles and chalked the problems up to age. My mechanic even recommened that I switch to green coolant, but I told him Dex-Cool was what it came with, Dex-Cool was what it will keep. It was a great truck other than the cooling system problems, so I really don't hold anything against GM.
