This is not a rap on you FOG or anyone in particular, but just a general statement about our society today. I am so F'ING sick and God damned tired of all the 'movers and shakers' and hipsters and big corporate to do professionals being all picky and choosy about everything in their lives, from their cars to the whole 'needing to live in California' bit. Or Seattle. Or wherever all the chosen folks want to live. Maybe the best thing Carlos Ghosn will ever have done is to get people away from there and to somewhere maybe folks have some work ethic and focus and such. In no way do I think the automakers should cling to homogenous Detroit like a special palace, but maybe if Lincoln and Nissan are hightailed out of California, MAYBE THERE's A REASON.
My annoying f'ing sister and her other half moved to California and now are so holier than thou about 'leaving for a better place'. Nice. 5 years ago you were saying you were never going to work anywhere outside of where you were then. Enjoy your tiny half a million plus one bedroom townhouse. AHHHHH, LIVING!
I'm all for decentralizing some of the automakers operations, God knows they need to get out of 'Detroit think'. But I'm tired of the whole entitled executive and shakers and young hipsters culture that just think every f\/cking aspect of the United states existence should revolve around what's needed to prop up a chosen few for their grandiose self centered lifestyles.
ITS TIME FOR THAT SELF CENTERED CORPORATE CULTURE BULL$h! TO END AND ITS TIME FOR THE OTHER 95% OF USA SOCIETY TO STAND UP AND STOP ACCEPTING THIS SECOND CLASS CITIZEN CRAP.
I have a few words for all these jerks. Take your latte and BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS. You want your job? Take it or leave it. You want to get on board? STFU, roll up your sleeves, and get on board. You want off, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Hey Joel, all GM has to do is wave a wad of cash in front of someone like Chris Bangle.......have fun designing your Accents and your Sonatas (that you so obviously used a 98 Ford Escort as divine inspiration for) and such. No Corvettes for your portfolio. And Eddie Wellburn is doing quite a fine job guiding GM in your absence.
P.S Joel> I enjoy your work.....I see plenty of them at the Hertz I drive by every day....right next to the chinese restaurant/chinese laundry and the video rental store.
