how can Nissan's VQ get any better? 6 speed and new engine? HMMMMM this could be interesting kinda looks like a shortened cab forward maxima with a 3 series crook in the window. personally though, i hope Nissan delivers some serious blows to Honda and Toyota this year. ever notice (and it shows up here too) how badly Nissan does at matching plastic rear bumper finishes to the adjacent sheet metal? Even on Maximas and stuff....the paint and sheen and the way the surfaces read and reflect light are visually off each other a LOT more than almost every other manufacturer. edit: a longer look DOES make it seem like just a reskin. the rear bumper has been puffed up. the side window glass looks about the same as does the diving character line. the wheel treatments are bolder. notice how they didn't show the front end. I sure hope they changed the interior.

the interior is what turned me off of getting a maxima last fall. the numbers were right and i love the hp but why does Nissan have to screw up their interiors so much?

I really like the 06 Monte. Exterior wise anyways. I hate NASCAR but i really think the Monte is a nice distinctive offering.

This is not a rap on you FOG or anyone in particular, but just a general statement about our society today. I am so F'ING sick and God damned tired of all the 'movers and shakers' and hipsters and big corporate to do professionals being all picky and choosy about everything in their lives, from their cars to the whole 'needing to live in California' bit. Or Seattle. Or wherever all the chosen folks want to live. Maybe the best thing Carlos Ghosn will ever have done is to get people away from there and to somewhere maybe folks have some work ethic and focus and such. In no way do I think the automakers should cling to homogenous Detroit like a special palace, but maybe if Lincoln and Nissan are hightailed out of California, MAYBE THERE's A REASON. sorry. disagree. if GM or ford put out such a lifeless and incomplete 3rd world design, the press would be all over them. only because it has a 10/100 attached to it do they give it a pass. If that car had a Buick badge on it, you'd be all over it with criticism.

There is currently a crisis in ASIA. As for being short lived...not the case. The crisis is that the original members are reforming for the 25th anniversary and jettisoning the current lineup, but the band quietly has put out numerous albums (and good ones) since 92 or so with a modified lineup....of which the FIRM's (and Manfred Mann/AcDC) ex drummer Chris Slade, he actually was part of Asia for 5 years up until last summer.

OF THE THREE, THE SATURN SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE TO NOT BE TRUCKY AT ALL. THE GMC SHOULD BE 'TRUCKY', THE BUICK SHOULD BE ELEGANTLY KIND OF TRUCKY, AND THE SATURN SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE EDGY/CROSSOVERY TYPE OF THING.

MAYBE THEY DID THAT TO POSSIBLY ALLOW FOR A sliding DOOR OPTION IN THE FUTURE........??????? WHICH I WOULD NOT MIND AT ALL.
