  1. and insurance rates will be hell. one mishap and its not just your door panel. its several panels, and possibly your subframe and suspensions, powertrains, etc. could negate any financial incentive for buying small.
  2. WWF street match! SUBURBAN vs. SMART WHICH ONE WILL WIN THE ULTIMATE FACE OFF? if I can get a smart for 4995 and its guaranteed to keep my kid alive in the event of a shopping cart attack, maybe. There is really no point to anything smaller than a Fit or Cobalt, or Yaris or Focus on our soils, except in the inner city realm. And I suppose delivering flowers and pizzas. The plastic bodied concept car Chrysler put out a couple years ago would hold as much promise IMHO. The Smart is cute and all, and I'm fine with it being sold here, I just think its kinda irrelevent considering our spread out real estate and mass proliferation of 4-6000 pound vehicles and semis that would easily destroy it in a crash. I see no point ot it unless you can routinely and real world get 50+ mpg and even then, get a Prius instead.
  3. or maybe he wants exxon to buy GM
  4. rest assured, if GM and Ford go down on Bush's watch, there is gonna be hell to pay. Maybe not from contemporary yuppie society, but you might just see action from the working classes. Our Pres and other political leaders have done nothing to step up and encourage support for our two biggest automotive US companies. I am not suggesting handouts, I am merely suggesting public words of support and encouragment in their efforts to turn their ships around. Hell, that might be 1/10 of what Japan, Inc. does for their car companies in part of a global economic war offensive.
  5. i got no problem with globalism, the problem i have is foreign companies getting pandered to and getting too much support in America in preference over American companies. People want US companies to fail. Our politicians do not speak up in support or promotion of US companies.
  6. i.e. will this light a fire under BUSH or will he sit back and let it happen?
  7. now that we have the FRENCH and JAPANESE moving in on trying to take apart one of our All-American industrial giants, do you think maybe its time some of the people in WASHINGTON, namely GWB and the congress wake up and smell the fact that our policies have threatened to wipe out some of our most prized US businesses?
  8. Nissan's CVT has proven to be reliable in the Murano.
  9. maybe it is a way to 'de-buzz' toyota.
  10. i'd rather see 'synerigies' between ford and gm before they stoop to this. if this happens, then we as a country have failed beyond all comprehension. too bad all the yuppies in this country don't care.
  11. i am not really for this because its FRANCE and JAPAN. However, if this means we got Nissan VQ's in GM cars instead of those $h!ty 3.4's and other crappy pushrod v6's...then maybe its ok. can we get rid of that ass Kerkorian already? I rather spend my Honeymoon in Flint watching 'Bachelor Party' having some brews with Buiickman than to have to worry about what this ass Kerkorian has in store for all of us.
  12. 2 yrs ago when i got my aztek i test drove a CTS 3.2 manual and a BMW 325i. I thought the CTS was much more fun. I would love to try a new 3 and the CTS sport
  13. Eddie Griffin must really know how to play on the post.
  14. nissan but not infiniti.....some VW....used to like Ford...I do some DCX cars
  15. "These people have a "bull$h! meter that is really high," says Marco" except that the more traditional Toyota customer base is a bunch of oversensitive, litigious loving, granola eating boomer pu$$ies who are all about discrimination and sensitivity and stuff.
  16. i knew you'd have an awesome punchline, blu......
  17. oddly enough on a short drive about town tonight....2 brand new SS's a new Maxx and Cobalt SS without plates.
  18. i find it hard to believe any NBA couldn't get women on demand instead of having to shift for themselves......
  19. excellent choice. i am officially jealous.
  20. i wonder if eddie has always been known for having a good HANDLE on the situation
  21. no wonder griffin needs eye surgery (his claim for poor play during the season), he must be squinting all the time!
  22. ahem, the video is not supposed to be able to be viewed when the car is not in park!
