  1. well in that case I love DAEWOO! let's put it this way. remember that episode of friends where they ahd the 5 'exceptions'?. I would leave my wife if it meant shacking up with Jen and my wife would be ok with it too. Dammit JEN doesn't know that yet. ! ARGH! 2 of my five exceptions Jennifer Aniston Kate Winslet now I'm pretty sure these guys are on my wife's exceptions list...and if she left me for them I'd have no recourse to protest. And she probably wouldn't think twice about it. Johnny Depp Antonio Banderas maybe Bejamin Bratt Its just such a shame that someone as fricking desirable as Jen must go for Vince Vaughn. Vince is funny, and a great guy, but he's like no big star. Kinda doofy looking. If that's all the looks to take to get Jen, I think I could beat him out for that.
  2. he's an icon in Germany....'Living For Freedom' is like some German anthem now. on youtube.com type in his name and check out some of his vids, yes he does sing. badly. although rhinestone cowboy and hooked on a feeling are killer.
  3. You and i ought to find one of her concerts and be her biggest groupies for a night. Is she married or betrothed? We could fight over her. I live and die with 80's pop. I SO need to listen to current / relevant music its pathetic. But what incentive do I have? THE 80's WAS AWESOME! I am ashamed to admit that some NKOTB is not bad. That eddie money/ronnie spector song was TREMENDOUS. I loved a lot of eddie money tunes but he has no charisma.......
  4. BV, since when did you go for the 'pink / jewel' ? BTW, Jewel, excellent choice. I actually can admit that though, even if she is a candy ass. She has a great voice, but is a major flake.
  5. so my company can build em! YES!
  6. again, WORD. evolve or die. some day we'll all be ordering our cars off the internet, after we take our test drives from the mall parking lot. I would be plenty fine cutting off the cash flow to all the 'middle men'.
  7. exactly. best post i've seen in a long long time. the dealers must consolidate just like the plants, marketing, everyone. f'ing dealers think the world revolves around their hairy assholes. the guy they interviewed doesn't 'get it'. IT'S ABOUT THE CUSTOMER YOU ASSWIPE!!!! No wonder people hate salesmen and dealers......its about the CUSTOMER, NOT THE DEALER OWNER, OR SALES MANAGER OR THE POOR GUY MAKING MAYBE 100 BUCKS ON THE CAR.
  8. kerkorian needs kervorkian

  14. as if an occasional dose of 'Hooked on a Feeling' or 'Rhinestone Cowboy' won't give you your HOFFER fix, check this out David Hasselhoff gets kicked out of Wimbledon damn this dude is on a ride to oblivion........

  17. about 3 yrs ago i saw them in a small club and it was one of the best concerts i've been to. they have been on the scene over 30 years and have like 25 top 40 hits. you been under a rock?
  18. actually, i do have to get tix for that show yet. now i'm bent because this soto dude's voice I don't like nothing like listening to journey with no lead singer and def leppard doing cover tunes OH JOY

  20. i just looked at the Aura XR price sheet and specs sheet....holy crap, there's a lot of car there for the price! I might have to check one out.
  21. that quote you found was awesome and SO TRUE!
  22. The GXP is not brash when you drive it, that's the nice thing. Its not loud, its not crude. If anything the styling inside and out can slightly offend but that's different than brash.
  23. you're right, the dash top plastic is not bad, just dreary colored. the center stack and cheap console and shifter is what destroys every positive impression you have of the rest of the car. the steering wheel illicits chunks. But the new Jag coupe has almost the same design..ARG! that is why i tested the impala ss last fall when it came out and i was so disappointed. i know totally why C/D ripped the impala. its a cruiser. The GXP can actually make a good case to someone who enjoys aggressive driving. The impala with some interior tweaks like real supportive seats and decent gauges and the GXP's suspension and steering would be a nice combo. Small block lovers will hate me for saying this.......I think I would find the direct injection 3.6hf v6 in this car a lot more interesting. I think that DI version is supposed to have around 300hp but less torque. I think the sound and camminess of that setup would fit more into the FWD sedan genre. At least the Pontiac versions. I guess it makes sense for the chevy to get the small block.
  24. and everyone thinks I am out to rip all the time. one thing i will say, i came to appreciate the steering feel more on my 500 after that GXP test drive....only from the standpoint of a less artificial feel on the wheel. Obviously the GXP is more agressively tuned in the steering and hadling dept. which i liked.
  25. the GTO is a car you can park next to an M5 and its in perfect company and you won't get laughed at. I love the GTO...alas, the aero design was old back in 2001 already
