  1. then the corolla is better than the cobalt too and the camry is the best car EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR lots of people watch that whore Oprah every day but that doesn't make her a very good / or any sort of real journalist.
  2. that ONE made me really scratch my head at the time
  3. as much as i like the new 3, this bores the crap out of me. if it has idrive i say we round em all up and blow them to smithereens
  4. perhaps a larger chassis and a 6 cylinder motor and a decent interior would have saved the Colorado from that fate. As for the uplander, i hear local VFW's won't even raffle them off if given to them
  5. the perception issue won't go away until cars like the G6, GP, and Malibu get that engine too
  6. if your customers are 80+ i suppose but simulated convertible tops have gone away?
  7. why i hate sony. betamax, minidisc, etc. they try to jam it down our throats. VHS = ohc. to the public. why fight it.
  8. quote=CARBIZ,Jul 13 2006, 03:42 PM I don't even know how to respond to that. How out of whack is that. Another example of why buyers (the reason the car business exists) hate salespersons, dealers, and the whole process. Its insulting to think people who don't care are the ones assisting us and providing customer service. To say educating the consumer is a mistake is like telling drunk college freshman on their first weekend at school at a 72 hour jungle juice party in a dorm or frat or happening apartment not to have birth control. Maybe for GM customers. See, Nissan and Honda and VW dealers might get a lot of tech-heads. My point....maybe its time GM was appealing to those freespending 'i want what i want and i care' types. see above. people do care, they just aren't the buyers GM is getitng right now. If you work at Taco Bell you can try to say people don't want hamburgers because that's your own world, but you'd be quite wrong to say that's the case everywhere. Sure, but that doesn't make it mutually exclusive of up to date technology, better performance, and great interiors. Customers expect it all. People in the GM fold have never gotten that or tried to provide all of that. Yet other companies are happy to provide it all....reliability and features/tech/performance.
  9. i think that compass was sold, i didn't see it on the lot. it did look better than in pictures except i didn't like the headlights. the hidden door handle in back is actually a nice trick in person.
  10. and of the 6-8% fee....the client will be more than happy to blow that for you. husband and wife changing their minds constantly and wanting meetings and disagreeing. 'no barrier to entry' - exactly. maybe if they required a 4 year degree and multiple stringent exams, that would weed out a bunch of them and raise the level of professionism in the rest. get the poseurs and hobbyists out of there. more than a handful of the hobbyist women realtors are more concerns with how their 'glamour shots' photo will turn out for the ads than servicing the customer. and by servicing, i mean the real estate part, although i am sure some women agents would gladly service a male buyer with an H3 if it meant the men getting serviced could then convince their wives to go for the propoerty and then she can get the big fee. a lot of people became realtors primarily for tax deductions available to them. Like the SUV tax break, home office, etc.
  11. OH I DON'T KNOW......every liberal and media outlet would have you think Jesus is driving a Prius or something
  12. YOU FORGOT THAT A COUPLE OF THOSE WON'T WORK IN THE 07 CAMRY
  13. I MEANT SOMETHING PRACTICAL, WITH SPACE AND 4 DOORS. I DON'T THINK THAT MINI WILL BE SURVIVING MANY CRASHES EITHER
  14. the gmc site says this thing will even swallow full sheets of plywood! YEAH BABY!
  15. wow. i just saw these pics. I am stunned. this thing is gorgeous. And all the feature bases are covered. imagine when the small block gets here too! Wow. the wife is getting pictures of this in her inbox tomorrow. did you see the thumb shifter? oh, they got every detail! 6, no 5, 6, 6, 4-6, 5, 4, 3, 5, 6, 7 7 7 7 7 7 "7" that thumb shifter is dumb in a car like the malibu but is PERFECT in a truck like this.
  16. in all honesty there was a time when she was pretty decent looking. as said previously, she NEEDS the long hair. look at the picture, who wouldn't hit that? just don't let HER talk. A lot of Americans don't really identify with the French Canadian aesthetic. separated at birth i confess, if i was going to vegas, i'd get tix to her show.
  17. SOMEONE thought she was attractive
  18. my beef is realtors make way too high a commission. a combined 6-7% is just unfair and needs to be adjusted. Less expensive houses, sure. But a 400-500k or higher house, having 25k plus skimmed off for real estate fees plus the inevitable bankers gouging after that on the loan are real problems. And then there is the whole concept of an architect putting in tons of hours for a 4-7 percent fee and some real estate person shows a house to a couple people and walks off with the same compensation. often times real estate folks are ones who couldn't make a career or find one doing something else and went with it out of need and are lucky to be making the amount of money they do vs. the skills they would have otherwise.
  19. it depends on the rack, I'd say.
  20. 140k purchase prices, thats a mansion
  21. TOYOTA, CRUMBLING UNDER PRESSURE
  22. I love neither. i don't lust after any Japanese makes.
  23. maybe they should try it on a few cars they might find it works *equinox * cough yes, its become a snob car. and apparently in spite of dreadful styling and no torque they can get away with it. pretty much, until BMW builds a compact around 20k, then cars like civics and jettas will thrive no, but all segments have fragmented so that not all people buy on price anymore, unfrotunately none of the US brands put out any products that appeal to that mindset, for nearly all segments.
