  1. new interior is ok, but its too importish looking for truckers. it also doesn't fix that the rest of the truck is still ugly as hell and is built like a loose bucket of bolts.
  2. your tax dollars held hostage by the urban liberals leftists
  3. give us E85, give us diesels too! EXXON MOBIL and the people in the white House don't want to give you a choice. the only reason they are bending on E85 is because they can buy farm state votes by subsidizng ethanol growth. i totally agree with your take. imagine a small 4 cylinder diesel Vibe or Vue or HHR. Or, a diesel STS. Or a simple diesel Malibu or Impala. Damn, the 9-3 should even have one. We need to make diesel a part of our future. just like hybrids and E85.
  4. i drove a cts stick with the opel 3.2 and i thought THAT was even quick. the 3.6 CTS sport would please me like the red head on thursday night.
  5. i was repelled by the tuscon but checked one out at the autoshow. even though it looks bad, i thought the interior was ok. certainly less of a pile of korean crap than the azera. when does the vue redline hit. i will be interested in seeing how well that sells.
  6. 90% of auto journalists write about cars because they can't even control their own saliva or bladder. did u see the latest MT? they had a short write up on the G5, 'only available as a coupe'. guess what picture they had....the sedan. WHAT A BUNCH OF MORONS.
  7. I really like the Ion, aside from the cheese interior. Except I test drove one again recetly, the 2.4 sedan with manual and 'enhanced performance package'- 17's and 'sport suspension'...right. Its still a flopper in turns. Doesn't ANYONE build a cheap car with roll stiffness these days? The redline i drove a couple years ago had it but doesn't come in a 4 door. GM Idiots. Only make the performance available in the 2 doors, which is like what, 10% of your sales? Morons. but the ion is an inexpensive and practical car. And its real world mpg is 35+ i hear. Ford is even bigger morons. They should be pushing the Focus big time. The Focus' problem has always been pricing. If Ford would market that car right they could sell more of them.
  8. IIRC, you had to STEP UP into an Astro. Minivan buyers don't want that. Same thing with the dutch doors, besides there is no way to power operate the rear hatch then, which is a feature that makes minivan moms 'excited'.
  9. part of the reason my buddy wants to get rid of his is because he says he only gets 13-15 mpg.
  10. i saw that too. that was the first thing i noticed. it just goes to show you how much of an unprofessional hack job Motor Trend has become.
  11. no, its just that they are 'followers' of whatever thinking the cool people of the moment tell them to think. and sadly, the press I think heavily influences those people.
  12. 2gen v8 auroras command big $$$ also. a v6 version is a good buy IMHO
  13. sah-weet
  14. satty, give it a few days and you'll be able to get that disc out. those new ford radios are schizo
  15. LOL
  16. BEEN DRINKING TONIGHT! COMAPNY BOAT CRUISE! GOT BACK FROM BAR! how did i manage a kiss from the hottest redhead in the office? (not on the lips mind you). when wil this buzz wear off
  17. maybe some day the Ion will be enshrined in the halls of the most hallowed cars ever.
  18. I've had the same thing on my 500, but its only happened once or twice. Its common on the 500 message boards. You're not alone. Its common. Mine only did that temporarily and has worked fine for quite some time now. But yes, it is junk. Utter pure complete JUNK. Cheap display. Just get it over with now and put in the aftermarket. They will never fix that radio in your lifetime. Its a cheap looking unit that doesn't perform. I do like the simplicity of the button layout, aside from no AUX in plug and having to push the function button 5 times to adjust bass and treble.
  19. I see all sorts of clueless women, old geysers, and 'first time car owners' drivng Toyota products. Also, car hating urban liberals that were forced to get a car because their job moved away from the treasured inner city so now they had to get a license and learn how to drive, so they suck at it. And, let's not forget the Asian drivers who haven't driven much in their lifetime or are too short to see over the dash or can't decode road signs. Don't forget the poseur Lexus owners who are clueless about everything in their path. Toyota products all the way. Usually driven badly.
  20. For kicks, Car and Driver compared the Euro spec 330d turbo diesel to the 330i and full road test. They got 38 mpg combined and over 40 highway mpg at times. To top it off, it got 0-60 in 6.0 seconds and passing times were quicker than the gas version because of the monstrous torque. And yet, the USA and Califronia etc. tries to do everything they can to kill diesels. Just when we get 'clean diesel' now the regulations become like 10 times as hard to meet. Its enough to p1ss ya off. I would love to have a 3 series diesel with stick and AWD if they had one here. Between the greenies and the government and the scared oil companies, how are we ever gonna get ahead and make any progress in this country? Car And Driver still liked the gas version better because its more 'interactive' and revs wonderfully and they love shifting etc.....(they are all boy racers)...but said for most other folks they might prefer the less fussy and wonderfully torquey diesel.
  21. toyota, the recall king?
  22. totally. between the civic and this sentra. its ludicrous how much the ion was copied.
  23. wow. this has got to be embarassing for them. I'd be fine if they rot and die. let's hope the new Tundra is three or four times as recall worthy.
  24. That Mazda3 and 5 could really use some more ponies..........
  25. will the new outlander do well? the current one isn't bad actually. In some ways its nicer than the Vibe. the new outlander has high feature content and is way cheaper than the RAV4.
