  1. i think why the 300 got so much praise was its unibody/RWD combo. BOF is hated by the auto rags. unibody is tighter.
  2. the ghetto bling / hood styling of the 94-96 SS is just as much reason why it is a popular car.
  3. amen. if anything. AWD is the big draw these days. from SUV's to cars....AWD is where its at.
  4. toyota "our prius gets 70% of its advertised mileage. or less. TOYOTA!"
  5. MS has never demonstrated the ability to sell anyting cool and hip, much less anything that is easy to use or even works like its supposed to. Apple's future is dependent on retaining the status of their media superior products. Apple is forward thinking and inventive enough that they are probably 2 steps ahead of microsoft with whatever they are developing now.
  6. antara on km77.com i sure hope this thing is as spacious as the current vue. lots of folks love the room inside the current one. it could be suicide if they replace it and its no where near as functional. the styling is nice tho. as longas the north american idiots don't dumb down the interior.
  7. trust me, LEED is tough to attain. GOLD LEED is insane. kudos to GM. this shows real leadership. let's see toyota do this.
  8. my buddy has had a couple e 85 vehciles, you get a little less mpg typically than regular unleaded. its nice to have a choice of fuels.
  9. i so totally want to see this movie
  10. oh MAN you should SEE the posts on the RIDGELINE board on Edmunds TH..... grab a beer and enjoy it...... holy crap. bent frames and bodies water leakage in the cabin destroying the inside rust rattles oil usage strut/suspension damage powertrain hesitation really bad fuel economy engine fires HOLY CRAP
  11. I typed in 'Ridgeline bent frame' on Google and it led me to this post on ED MUNDS town hall
  12. ah, that turismo interior reminds me of the night in college one of my buddies pissed in the open window of another buddies *charger*..024 or whatever it was (yes alcohol was involved)...that is what that thing looked like and recalling sitting in a ridgeline interior i'd have to say you're definitely on the right track there. There's a newly remodeled Honda dealer about 2 miles from my work. I'd love to own the land right next to it. If i did, I'd get Chevy to haul about 100 Avalanches on the lot right next to it, so folks could get past the hype and see how badly the Avalanche trounces the Bentline...first hand. instead of reading CR and getting int he car and driving straight to the honda place, magazine in hand.
  13. honestly, this is just another example of how people judge a car as a whole so much on interiors. interiors is probably the biggest reason (that and styling) why people (*cough* women) by a certain car. its why GM falters so bad. its why chrysler gets ragged on some. It should be interesting to see the Patriot reviews. I'm still 50/50 on whether the compass should have been built, but the Patriot, i think it will be well received and its the same car. Why can Honda and Toyota be excused for their wimpy Rav 4 and CRV and a similar Jeep gets burned?
  14. if it involves microsoft, its not gonna work intuitively or be easy to use. in fact....it probably won't even work at all.
  15. boy, you are out of the loop. Ipod is like 77% of the market. those who 'ahem' don't have one, that's what the miniplug on the front of the radio is for. this should been out 2 years ago. tho....in 2007 its not exactly earth shattering
  16. its dangerous on the freeway at 70+
  17. anyone ever hear the Little Johnny joke..... "use the word DICtate" in a sentence....
  18. the new avalanche interior is so far above the ridgelines horrific interior. i have no idea why siegen could even try to argue that. i am not sure how chevy can build MILLIONS of trucks that can survive YEARS of TOUGH duty and then Honda introduces ONE TRUCK without a frame and we're supposed to believe it will hold up better. as they say HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  19. auto body shops have large equipment that help them fix unibody car chassis / align them / build them back to spec.
  20. the Escape is fairly space efficient. good room for 4 and a nice sized trunk.
  21. Caddy should have Scarlett in their commericals. sales would EXPLODE is she was riding in one. there's a marketing strategy that's guaranteed.
  22. NO, THEY ARE EXTREMELY REAL AND WONDERFUL
  23. the retained power issue is also common, especially when reinstalling a radio after adding adapters, etc. let me check myford500.com and see what i can find -ok i didn't find anything right off hand, but maybe disconnecting the battery for an hour and then reconnecting it may get it back? the maybe did something out of order in the reinstall sequence who knows, ford is so hosed on my 500 the radio stays on even when i take my key out, until i open my door.
  24. yeah, i'm getting popups like mad. at least i know now its a hack job. google blocker seems to help.
