  1. something to put on the feature sheet for the buff books to write about and use against other cars.
  2. yeah, but it needs a major plastics quality upgrade.
  3. face it, young women with money won't be caught DEAD in an AMERICAN car. They are drawn like stink on poo to cute and tidy vehicles like the VW's, RDX, CRV etc......
  4. I think car and driver got 16 mpg long term for their hemi equipped magnum. I'll check that. But the hemi magnum wieghs about 700 pounds more than the RAV4 .
  5. Pilots only get 15 mpg in real world use....toyota is not the only culprit i guess. Normally i give a low mpg vehicle a pass if it weighs a lot. But the RAV 4 only weighs what a sedan weighs. They should have gotten AT LEAST 20mpg with it.
  6. if this is the world's best luxury car, why is the dashboard so dull and $h!ty looking? gas guzzling pig i suppose. WTF? 12 cu ft?
  7. the equinox and Edge ARE NOT COMPETITORS! the edge is way better and is bigger. you've GOT to be kidding. GMC=trucky 3 row large crossover. acadia IS NOT a sports crossver. Buick=elegant 3 row large crossover. its NOT a sports crossover. Pontiac, please kill the cheesy dated torrent and make a real Edge/Murano/CX7/RDX competitor with sports handling and balls under the hood Think BMW X5 on a family budget.
  8. -you are already seeing a condo bust. trust me, where i work we do this for a living. the condo boom was 2-4 years ago. now those sitting with unsold units were just the losers trying to catch up with the experts -mainstream middle classers will always prefer the laid back spaciousness of the suburbs. The urbanite liberal granola yuppies are conspiring to create forces to try desperately to restore tax base back to the big cities after years of losing wealthies to starter castles in the burbs; their schools, social services and crime prevention forces are taking financial hits and the bad schools and crime are now affecting theri urban paradise. If they fail, the core cities go to hell. But you will always have a majority that prefer suburbs. -maybe the morons will provide more jobs in the suburbs. that would make more sense rather than continuing to put all the eggs in one basket and limit everyone's job options to downtowns. Not to mention relieve the burden in utilities and infrastructure there. -someone better pony up for better mass transit if they are preaching about how wonderful it is. the rest of us, we prefer the freedom of time being in our car and driving short distance from our suburban house to our suburban job. -this further underscores where leadership is needed from govt. to find more energy sources in addition to foreign oil.
  9. Ah, did Angus and his bunch at M/T finally decide it was now ok to start blowing American *cough* instead of just japanese and german tube?
  10. Maybe Honda doesn't want to offer a 16 mpg V6 (per C/D road test) in their CR-V like Toyota has in the RAV4.
  11. THANK YOU
  12. what, you mean being right?
  13. made u look seriously, does pontiac need a mid sized two row crossover? or saturn instead?

    New MINI

just give in now! You will be assimilated......this is YOUR mini now....... the sliding doors are wonders for saving your back. strollers really devour a trunk. LOL....j/k
  15. blu, that LP turbo would be a nice package.
  16. no doubt some young professional woman, about 25-26, with a college degree, just got a good promotion (based on looks), named Jessica or something, is hip and trendy, shows plenty of leg and cleavage at work, and needs everything in their life to be just right. no problem for them dropping 38k on a small 4 cylinder SUV, as long as its the right brand and it will hold their shopping bags. I bet the leather is just right and is stitched 'just right'. Ah, this is were the crossover segment is at. THE place to be. 40k for a 4 cylinder hatchback. Its why automakers are killing sedans to chase this segment. Another market surrendered to the imports and the US makes left behind. 'Jessica' would never by an AMURCHAN car. It would cramp her style. 5 years ago she would have bought a loaded Jetta.
  17. did it catch fire?
  18. has Honda EVER made a good looking car? the NSX, maybe. the first and second legend, maybe. the last prelude, the exterior, maybe. the current TL and TSX are not bad, but man, Honda has NEVER made a stunner.
  19. is that one of those 'how's your wife and my kid?' deals LOL
  20. NOW THAT'S A BIG BABY!!!!! God bless the women for carrying them and trying to force them out the pelvis when they can or in this case, C sec. How does it feel? Its a life change........feels great for you I bet. My daughter's b'day is tomorrow, we missed it being the same by one day. Best wishes to your family Satty and big time congrats. Enjoy the ride! Hold that lil'boy like you never wanna let em go. time to go minivan shopping!
  21. oh, guess not, i was just dreaming..... anyone here think Pontiac needs a sports crossover to duel the Murano, Edge, and CX-7?
  22. i finally succumbed and started buying fusion razors. now target cut the price and sent out more coupons for them! ARGH! they are awesome razors though. they even last longer than the MACH 3 and MACH 3 TURBOS
  23. does Honda have a Z06? A CTSv? An STSv? honda. meh, I'm bored. At least they aren't annoying, like Toyota.
  24. it looks like the new XL7 with a bulldyke front end. wow, this thing looks nasty. Hey CD, when Brenda takes a photo of a good lookin car, do you ever throw out a compliment like, "Hey, that sure looks PRIDDY!" .... *crickets* I can't believe Honda is mucking up their styling so bad. Looks like the Acadia/Outlook/Enclave trio's life just got a little bit easier.......
  25. i like HHR, but i felt like the views to the outside were constricted. the PT cruiser IMHO is just as nice still. both are good choices.
