  1. hey fly, Xmas is coming up, think this toyota radio will be one fo the Kohl's 'doorbuster' specials from 6-10 a.m.???? dime a dozen, just like the camry
  2. BEARS LOST!!!!!!!!! WE ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!
  3. it all tastes good, some of us like Italian, and some like Mexican. Both are zesty though! that's what makes America great. except toyota. toyota blows.
  4. pilot what?
  5. you still have to look at it though. open thy mind. ok, closed. the toyota truck sucks. why- its FUGLY!
  6. needs 50 more hp
  7. and there is your case right there for not driving a small car. at least its my case. All the Euro's tell us AMURCHANS, drive smaller cars. we say, we have big trucks on our roads, big semis. We prefer to be safer in case one of them tags us.
  8. regarding the inline 6, i think it would be a fabulous idea to have such a smooth inline in the pickups, but it seems the MPG is not stellar with the inline 6, so that would defeat the purpose of a six? debate. A simple full size truck with the Atlas 6 and a 6 speed manual would be a hoot to drive.
  9. proof that they can't ride the 300 forever.
  10. wow, Audi doesn't sell many cars, but they are a dime a dozen here in MN, must be because of quattro
  11. go to autoweek.com and read the writeup on how crappy the sonata is, that's partially why its dropping
  12. see fly, a huge increase.......4 more units.......
  13. well, Mazda is FORD so in some repsects Ford does benefit already
  14. my guess is nissan flubbed the base sentra for the corolla crowd but the sport SE-R Altima will be whack. i.e. much improved for enthusiasts. you get the feeling GM and Ford maybe aren't even bothering trying to appease the 'enthusiast' mags anymore, because they get beat up so much?
  15. "DOUBLE-DIGIT GAINS FOR NEW EXPEDITION, NAVIGATOR" Ford priced these aggressively, so lower car payments can offset the pricey gas. But, when gas goes up, it would suck. Also, winter is approaching, a time when many look at SUV's for winter driving. Good news. Ford just needs to continue some positive things. shame they are dumping the taurus with fleet volume like that but you can't build em forever. Explorer is stabilzing. Wow, they sell buttloads of Econoline vans.
  16. i totally agree, why is the elentra in it either?
  17. they would have had to have had a base 2.4 Cobalt SS or a base Cobalt. the SS with stick in sedan is a tough one to find. but it is lame for the mags to use that as an excuse. the focus ST would have been the one to test but can get close to 20k which may have excluded it. the more plebian Foci should have been a dime a dozen to find. A glaring omission to me was the Subaru Imprieza 2.5, it would have been mid pack i think. Its a disturbing trend the buff books have, they don't even review or test or compare the less chosen brands anymore.
  18. it really is the perfect sized car. its not enormous like my 500, yet its got a ton of back seat and front seat room and its wide. I see the new Altima added 3" of rear leg room though so now maybe the Altima is even commodious. around here they advertise lots of cheap leases on the 4 cylinder Galant. Its a good alternative to say, a civic for less money in that regard. But then it basically becomes a chick car / cheap payment shoppers car. It is noticeably bigger than a Malibu, although now Chevy's done well to keep the Malibu's price down.
  19. well, not just that. but the fact they mentioned it so much was annoying. the rabbit was quieter and more refined. the rabbit weighed like 5-600 pounds more than the corolla.
  20. my last sentence says no cobalt with stick was available to test.
  21. what a harry time its been! funn to the maxx! congrats to the C&G'ers who work so hard on making the site a great one. You guys are appreciated greatly.
  22. pretty much. and they 'cleaned up the mess' too. the pic with the blue one from the rear is alright...however, the rest are putrid. still, this is America. Because someone had a reliable 1986 corolla, this thing will sell like hotcakes. or maybe not with 4k incentives on current tundras. that grille is horrible. it reminds me of , hell i can't even decide what it reminds me of. it just looks.....WRONG.
  23. C/D had an Altima test in the new issue. They liked it a lot, except they did not like the clutch and shifter. Otherwise, a very good car.
  24. 6. Sentra (new one) 5. Corolla 4. Elantra 3. Civic 2. Mazda3 1. VW Rabbit They seemed to have issues with the new Sentra. Of course they didn't like the Corolla because its spongy. They praised the Elantra as being spacious and a good commuter but its a flopper. The Civic is an acquired taste. the Mazda is a good car but it didn't win because of red dash lights. The Rabbit is the best overall. All models tested had sticks. They claimed that no Focus or Cobalt with stick was available to test.
  25. I'll bite, very few will buy one, you're 100% right. I look at it this way, even with its crudeness in some aspects, this would be a more fun car to me than a Camry or Accord. but since I had a v6 loaner Galant once, and it was fun, I know its a zippy car. If the price was about the same I would defintely go this route over the G6, Malibu and Impala SS, and Grand Prix even though I like the G6 and Grand Prix and chevys. had the Altima not been redone for 07, I would say yes to this before the 06 Altima. I also would have chosen this over the Mazda6, although the Mazdaspeed6 complicates that comparison. In the end I would default to the fact this car has an unblown v6 and the Mazda has a turbo...wait, the mazda has AWD....HMMMMMMM i would take this car over the Fusion. I would have to drive the Aura XR, my guess is the Aura is nicer to live with. I guess to me there are so many other great choices besides the Camry and Accord and I wish more folks would buy them.
