  1. Canadian Driver sorry wasn't sure what topic to put this in but this a major advance IMHO
  2. i owned a Prizm for 3 years, by the end the lack of power was drivng me nuts. its not usable car. Conversely, EVERY ecotec car I've test driven has impressed me with its engine and powertrain. And real world mpg of ecotec cars is great.
  3. DCX would be far better to embellish the success fo the current 300, with revised interior, and long wheelbase models.
  4. Go GM! God I hope they cream toyota and ecoweenie whiners with this to make them shut up.
  5. Toyota's approach to jump in so aggressively with 3 feet into this segment should come to prove out one thing....... whether or not Toyota can continue to keep growing and build their market share solely on reputation alone, or will this be the market segment that will finally draw attention to the fact that Toyota will now finally need to start competing with it vehicles in terms of style and performance? up until now, toyotas have been excused form being top performers. To me, this should draw attention to the debate on whether they can continue to be excused for being one dimensional (a creation of consumer reports).
  6. this is why i admire honda. they learn themselves how to do diesel and set a standard of excellence. toyota is in washington redskins mode right now.....try to free agent their way to success with loads of cash being thrown around. i don't think it will work for them.
  7. so ugly. so ugly.
  8. yes, the new 4.0/6 sp is very quick....i've driven one. my guess here is DCX is just gonna milk this wagon for about 7 more years. they sell well and folks who shop for town and country's but don't like the minivan image get steered into them. you can get them cheap.
  9. GM's redo came at the right time. the new tundra is soft looking. buyers of trucks are not typically interested in pansy ass Japanese import lover styling, look at the backlash that happened when Ford melted the F150 back in the late nineties...that's what the new tundra looks like. Truck fashion usually sides with something rather tough looking, and the Chevy's manage to look crisp and tough at the same time. You can bet all the comparison tests have been written and checks have been cashed already though. The buff books will hand Toyota the winner tag because Toyota has deeper pockets. Lutz is right about the incentives, toyota has been pushing 4k or more in incentives on the current tundra. that grille alone on the new tundra is enough to scare buyers away in droves.
  10. hey JAKE, yes, i'd nail his sister beyond repair. that's my baby she's carrying.
  11. GO K-FED! GO K-FED! MSN Britney is the consummate whore. But K-fed is a complete loser. Its a shame they bred. Britney could have done far better.
  12. in my experience, GM products take the salt the best of any mfr. I was beyond shocked, my sister put 200,000+ on her Beretta in harsh MN climate and it still had no major rust problems when she FINALLY unloaded it. Nearly everyone else I know of with GM products in winter salt has outperformed most furrin competition.
  13. what i've been always saying, Hyundai's sales have been driven entirely by that one thing. Just like why my sister bought hers.
  14. to me the Sebring is just below a true midsize....its more the size of an Epsilon, i.e. too small. Its competing in the real marketplace against cars like the new Altima, which adds space for 07. In fact, perception wise, even the smallish Passat seems larger inside. And it really should have one engine that begins to touch the 250hp barrier. I just think in the end, other domestic options, cars like the Aura, Impala, and Fusion present themselves way better. Its almost as if DCX deliberately kept the Sebring small so as not to steal sales from the RWD cars. And that's a shame since the Intrepid was one of the best space capsules ever.
  15. change begins tomorrow...........
  16. exactly, the stuff the buff books never report about.
  17. sorento way down. my neighbors have one. it must be ok. yuk tho
  18. yeah but that pays for your entire year subscription of consumer reports too.
  19. i've still never heard this album. call me weird
  20. i used to be big on sandy. YUM.
  21. i drove one at the ride and drive. Its ok, but it doesn't distinguish itself in any aspect of performance. I do think some folks will like its unique features and its interior and exterior styling. Its probably smaller than it should have been. Its engine choices are not stellar.
  22. thought it was time to re-start this topic this ought to occupy some of your time
