  1. somehow there needs to be incentive to make vehicles lighter and more fuel efficient, but i support everyone's right to buy as large a car as they want or need. some people need a Saturn Outlook or Suburban. Most folks transportation needs would in no way be served by a little $h!box like a Fit or Versa. Not to mention how they would be dogmeat if they so much as scrape the curb.
  2. this car rocks. even if it looks like the old one, its a well balanced offering. engine, handling, light weight, good price, nice interior. this would be my first pick in the mid size class.
  3. so honda blew Csere and handed over a big check to stage another 'comparo' that Honda easily won..?
  4. outlook / acadia twins suburban / tahoe etc. twins expedition honorable mention...edge
  5. yeah, the xb might be the most overrated turd out there. How does a 103hp death trap that incites seizures upon sight win so many accolades?
  6. none of them are BMW's....
  7. i looked at the new Expy today. Its actually pretty nice. the third row looks very usable. I prefer the Tahoe dash, because its more carlike...however, the grand trucklike interior of the expy is pretty cool too. Both vehicles have well done interiors. Honestly, I could see owning one if I knew I weren't going to put major bucks in for fuel in one fo these things. These things would be the ultimate road trip vehicle if you didn't want a minivan. The Ford is very tough and masculine. The Chevy is more accessible and cosmopolitan. Assuming they drive about equal, for me, the good third row execution of the Expy would make it the winner, although both really are winners. I am guessing that part of the demise of the Freestar was because really, this is a much more attractive 3 row vehicle in Ford's stable than the Freestar is....and the freestar got crappy mileage anyways.
  8. People who dismiss the Cobalt as uncompetitive have not driven one.
  9. yeah but no one wants a little pile like a Neon or Crapalier these days. People want larger compacts with better crash safety and chair high seats. Jettas, new Sentras, etc. that's the size class compacts has evolved to. $h!boxes like the Yaris and Fit have come in to fill the small compact class. The Caliber is a better proposition for DCX. They would be better of rebadging the new Lancers if they want a sedan in their showrooms soon.
  10. the oil can only help that honda cheese grater, er, tranny.
  11. why? cuz its nicer to look at than the MDX and is ten grand cheaper?
  12. this was not the top of the line versions and the fusion was missing. Most v6's were missing. No Galant Ralliart. No Legacy. in other words, this comparo sucks ass. Pretty worth less comparo. Where Kia ended up pretty much says all. The KIa would have been last if this were v6's.
  13. it makes the G35 look candy ass and really makes the Audi/Mercedes/Lexus crew look tired and dead.

  17. C'mon what would a Polish holdiay be without some Polka dancing? Break out the Larry! I will taking the time over the holiday to enhance my Project Manager voodoo shrine......
  18. jeeses and folks get their shorts in a bind when jiffy lube doesn't fill the washer fluid. that's ok, we all know this isn't going to affect in way shape or form how emp fills out his report to consumer reports. it will still be glowing across the board.
  19. a work buddy has an Astro AWD and the thing sucks fuel. hate to say it, but, DCX minivan. Again, i will point out another opportunity why minivans are a segment that should not be cast aside.
  20. this is a very aggressive new Jaguar desgin theme that could steal sales away from BMW
  21. I think most folks would be much happier in an X terra. The H3 might fit the bill for some, if it had a real engine in it.
