  1. watch out, the black car is coming to pick you up.
  2. will i pull a neck muscle if i turn my head off the gauges to look at the turdra's nav screen? Its pretty far away!
  3. well, look how many millions bought Milli Vanilli, so it doesn't surprise me that 50,000 would be dumb enough to pop for a Rdigeline.
  4. I think if they chose the Aura over the Camry, it would be doing so to recognize that the Aura is entertaining to drive, and thus reminding Toyota that its more than just building snoozers. Plus, we already know Camry has had some quality issues. Maybe this is the group warning Toyota, be careful, we're not going to give you awards for crap cars. Plus Aura is a hell of a lot more car for the money. GM's 6 speed actually shifts gears, by the way. The Camry's 6 speed may or may not decide to shift when you press the gas. The Fit does not represent a significant market segment in the US at least. The mid sized sedan segment is much much much more relevant than the few folks who actually are willing to live with a car like the Fit with limited function and appeal. Plus, the Fit is expensive for its size and horsepower, so its not a value proposition. As far as trucks, Toyota themselves kept themselves out of competition because they knew they aren't up to snuff with the new turdra.
  5. damn, now I can dream of having one here in MN. I hope the direct injection v6 and stick is available with AWD when i win the frickin lottery. To be honest, if they make a V version I would not want it. I'd rather have the twin cam v6 direct injection (plenty of hp and nice cammy sound). I see no reason why this car won't be mondo successful and it might just be the first car both my dad and myself would enjoy owning. He figured out what the CTS was recently and really likes it and so it would be cool if i had a nice sports model one and he could have one 'lexus style' for mom to drive ....i.e. softer suspension, automatic, lighter interior.........
  6. by the same token, your CTS is not / won't be obsolete anytime soon, thus preserving its desirability and value.
  7. congrats on the new truck, blu. good choice!
  8. i saw a headline for an article on the internet yesterday about this truck. toyota was saying the mpg was not important for this truck. it said, truck buyers don't care. now toyota's big thing has always been to say they get good mpg. now they don't care. What a bunch of liars. note how it did not get submitted for M/T TOTY. production was delayed basically its toyota's admittance that they did not want to risk it getting directly beat by the chevy, for one two, they are deflecting all importance of fuel mileage on this thing because they failed in that department they couldn't build it on time its ugly. lastly, it's a toyota, which is reaosn enough to ridicule it. toyota makes a nicely delicate and precise camry but still hasn't figured out trucks, in spite of an enormous try. anyone who likes this or buys this, er............
  9. a nice option for someone who wants a crossover that is fun to drive. even if it has a cheap interior.
  10. i really liked the rear of the current CTS. I don't like going back to the tall narrow taillights. looks much less sporting.
  11. USB port! -steering wheel audio control of ipod! The AWD is finally recognized! This did not say if the manual transmission was available with AWD.
  12. nice reskin. new interior is ok. overall, nice update. this is not an all new car. but i like that it still has the edgy look to it. the interior is too much of a lexus design for my tastes. Not crazy about the last gen altima gauge hoods either.
  13. an all new interior would seal the deal. and a less ugly new front beak.
  14. well, ladies in desperation put out. if the car has been refined and goes faster now, maybe it can excuse the notion of an 'ugly ride'. an automotive 2 bagger, if you will. that's my sweet spot too.
  15. i love your car, majorly jealous.
  16. they 'bangled' it
  17. MMMMMM nothing better than a hot carl...........
  18. My God, they are all on crack. Logan Run or what?
  19. i ripped this pretty hard in the other 08 focus thread, but these pics are better. the night interior shot looks much better here. Maybe Ford will get buyers for this. edit: ok, now after seeing both threads I'm willing to cut this car slack. They did ok with limited resources here. I actually like the center stack controls and stuff better than my 500's. ain't sayin much, it just looks like it is. can they at least offer an SVT version for those who want some speed?
  20. they ought ot just build the current body forever, just keep updating the powertrain and interiors
  21. it has a sort of 'take me to your leader' look to it. one thing is for sure. they must not do any focus group clinics anymore. If they had, they'd known this thing was ug leeeeeeeeee before they put the pics out
  22. ok, now that i've actually read the press release......here's what is encouraging I'm such a whore for cheap that if this is cheap enough and they throw me another deal like the one I have now i might bite. RRRRRRRRRRR ONLY IN BLACK THOUGH
  23. well, maybe i won't be pulling ahead on my lease this fall after all. YIKES! i might need to look at these again and make sure I am seeing this correctly. they did nothing to fix the interior. God. Is ford on crack? still no manumatic?
