  1. car connection
  2. car connection R8 article this car has plenty of power for me. lol
  3. really, all that there is here to shed a tear about is how this is an example of GM letting a platform linger far too long. the platform itself isn't even worth the keystrokes we are typing about it. This will always be an example of GM being tight asses that people ripping the company will always be able to point to as a shining example. Honestly, the damage and people's perceptions of GM for this type of thing will continue to linger for at least 10-20 more years, reagrdless of what they do from now on. as far as the current grand prix. i like the wraparound design of the dash. but they f'ed up too much else about the car. cheap plastic. terrible center stack and controls. pancake roofline leading to claustrophobia. rear seat that's far too low and lacks leg room so its not usable as a family sedan. 4 speed automatics. dated v6 motors. huge front overhangs. ribbed taillights. ah, they just f'ed it up on so many levels. I like the car. It's just not practical or desirable because of its shortcomings far outweighing any positives it has. The G8 cannot arrive soon enough.
  4. the number says up 25.6% though. i guess that just shows postive sales momentum. It would not surprise me if other automakers including our very own, don't have some things in the closet as well.
  5. it's so funny how you continue to think they are dead when sales are increasing. c'mon, grow up, accept that they will still be around and just get over it. you wanna pick on some rice cars, pick on Chery.
  6. so much for resale!!!!!!!! can you say TOILET?
  7. they probably can't call it cherokee anymore because it probably offends the NA community
  8. take out the Yaris by itself and really there is not much gain at all. in fact, many models are down. No wonder toyo is pumping so many incentives. Probably lots of fleet sales included too.
  9. Edge is doing better than I expected out of the gate. Wow, the 500 and FS have sure went to the toilet big time. That's what happens when you don't finish the product. Good thing I leased. I won't have to be the lamb for the huge resale hit when I turn it in.
  10. for being such an AWESOME car, the fit sure doesn't sell much. Ridgeline and Element DOWN Pilot DOWN TL RL TSX DOWN Honda seems to only riding the success of the Accord right now.
  11. no way in hell do i vote for him. too standoffish. Too left. Besides, if he's running against Norm Coleman, then my mind is already made up. We already made mistakes putting ventura in office. The Wellstones and Klobuchars of the world are hard enough to stomach as it is. We don't need to tilt even further towards lunacy. Coleman is good at deciding which way HE wants to go, and usually chooses a direction that is palatable to moderate / conservative work oriented non-intellectual elitist class. And he studies an issue first before simply spewing whatever he thinks will get himself elected. Its possible Frankenstein has the tools to be a decent politician, but he should seek a lower office first and work his way into the fold and learn the political process. Get some service in first and then you might have some cred to push your off center agendas. God, I sure hope he knows what "E85" is.
  12. Holden Commodore series pics - autoblog - VERY NICE PICS
  13. got my R/T today. they had a small writeup on the Alt/hyblid. 37 mpg. 6.8 0-60 i think. they were complimentary of the car, except to say the implementation of the hyblid synergy drive was in some cases not as refined at the Hoyotha products. That, and they felt the CVT tended to intensify the engine droning at max rpm since CVT's love to go redline. Sub 7 second 0-60 and 35+ real world mpg in a large non nerdy looking (aka not hoyotha) sedan? seriously, this should be COTY. oh wait, I can't buy one.
  14. LMAO
  15. all your quotes from those manufacturer funded sources were nice and all, but the Nitro I sat in and drove had been sat in and drove by a few people and showed a terrible amount of wear for being so new. Removed from the glitzy lighting and maximum armor all overdose of a typical auto showroom, subjected to real use, i felt the design and quality of the nitro interior was extremely subpar. it was a brand new vehicle, yet its design and wear made it seem as primitive as just about any of GM's worst interiors ever, like the Citation, Celebrity, Chevette. Let's not mistake 'industrial' for 'cheap'. Worse yet, its far from ergonomic. The seat were shaped horribly and everything esle was patchwork. Nothing appeared to have been designed around human interface. I wouldn't want to making payments on that Nitro. The interior will be looking 10 years old by the time payment coupon 15 arrives. The equinox in comparison is much better. BTW I don't hate chryslers. However, I do believe that lately they seem to be setting new low standards for interiors. They clearly are the kind of budget interiors these days.
  16. Most interiors are crap these days. But still GM is a bit behind in interiors I feel.
  17. my wording was botched. i was agreeing with him 100% but then separately saying the altima hybrid makes far more sense than the CAMLEE HYBLID.
  18. BEST ONE EVER!
  19. ROTFLMAO! i drove a nitro at dcx ride and drive. HORRIBLE interior. It's on par with a Chevy Celebrity. Easily the worst interior in its price class for cars these days. Terrible.
  20. km77
  21. detroit egos most likely. you know i like the interior dash layout of this car and i like the 08 malibu's. I like the exteriors of both. I don't like the epicas headlights. km77.com chevy epica info and photos
  22. there are enough trucks on the market now that C/D could justify having a ten best trucks list.
