DIRTY DANCING -NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER

if you were a stuck up bitch who's *ahem* didn't stink........yes, they would consider that a $h!ty life. oddly. and some folks work for 8 bucks and hour and still find love. 'he said we gotta hold on to what we've got it doesn't make a difference if we're naked or not we've got each other and that's a lot, for looooooveeeee, we'll give it a shot' -
Gee. In C/D's recent comparo, the mazdaspeed 3 really kicked the Civic Si's ass. Everything else. The civic wasn't in the top spot. i wonder if it's partially because the civic has like, um, no torque.

was it Jerry or Jim Bakker that nailed Jessica Hahn?

you mean like 200k annual salary, well to do but almost dead parents, and a 2 carat rock? let's not kid ourselves. women are the masters of being selective. I again refer to my now ex coworker who is GORGEOUS and gets along tremendous with men. Women hate her because men drool at her sight. She can pick her dates at will more or less. But she's holding out for a doctor or something of that ilk. Regardless of if she loves him or not, somewhat seemingly. She even said to me 'looks don't matter'. HEY this thread really veered! JUST HOOKED UP MY APPLE TV! thing is THE BOMB! first movie I bought on line? DIRTY DANCING. f-cking device rocks! it's an awesome consumer product. I wish GM's products were as insanely good. re: plumpers....there is one at work lately who hovers near my cube because she is on a cube neighbors project team. OK, she's not fat. Just wide. Very nice and thick. wears KILLER perfume every day that gets blown all over by my desk fan......I'd hit that, if I could. 2-300 times. Weight is not always a problem, sometimes its just how its worn. Same could be said about me...LOL and has been I'm sure. The abused ones though, Bob does have a point. If there are some deep mental scars you REALLY gotta love the person a lot to bear those burdens they have. And they don't show up right away. It can sometimes take years for some $h! to surface and really start to deteriorate a relationship. I think all Bob is saying is if there are some things you can pick and choose (and I know you can't always) about your mate, that is one thing you can do without if possible. I can't fault him for not wanting to deal with that. Flip side of that is if you meet someone who blows you away and that comes with them, you have to buck up and be ready for whatever goes with it. I have a friend who married a woman who has MAJOR psychological scars from some incident in her past. I do not know if it is sexually related, but it is parental of nature. It affects the woman and my friend every day of their relationship. She can't, and probably cannot be expected to, ever deal with it. But their marraige is entirely unhealthy because of it. Maybe it's a bad pairing. My point it, if the realtionship is forever strained then it makes sense a lot of what Bob is saying. -
i thought he was hangin with rap stars.

i am sure if this weren't a globally shared model it would be a bit bigger and yes it should be the size of the current vue. the perils of going global. yet, the only big reduction was probably in the cargo area. it looks darn spacious as far as seating in person. thing is, rav4 and crv are 'cute'. vue matches it, 'cute wise'. current vue was looking a bit butch/rugged. vue's size is likely ok since the nox is fairly large in comparison. keeps em different. i just love how this destroys the caliber, etc.

Honda really stubbed it's foot with the 08 Accord redesign. Can you say UGLY. If Accord loses even 20,000 units and Camry still loses 10,000 units after picking up those accord buyers...combined......and the Altima loses some..... If Chevy even makes an initial net gain of 20-30,000 units for starters, that's not bad. The Accord is the stinker here. That thing is a dog. that could really shift the balance of power in the whole segment. WAIT. look how ugly the CRV is and it's killing the cute ute segment.

"wow, that's harsh. I'm a writer, I know dialogue, and that's particularly harsh' -Bruno Kirby in When Harry Met Sally

don't worry about the interior. i touched the door panels of the 08 vue at the auto show. the design and execution of that example was top flight and among the best of GM and will match or exceed anything in that class. the exterior styling is well done also. this thing has 'big hit' all over it if the pricing is agreed to by the public. my only reservation is it's heavy.

all very valid criteria. most certainly. we all know there is plenty of trashy women out there. yesterday presented a great example. although the subject matter is too sensitive that I would get killed if I broadcast it, bob I will PM you the details later tonight and you will have a great laugh. -
the Intrepid brought mainstream buyers into the showroom and kept Chrysler relevant to a broad cross section. Sorry to be truthful, but Dodge is now a redneck brand like pontiac was, and Chrylser isn't much higher on the radar, it's a bling and dubs brand now. The best image DCX products can present right now is what happens at the dodge dealer by my house. Chargers and 300's with dubs and tinted windows and tack ons and big ram trucks jacked up another foot in the air. Jeeps with all sorts of bling tack ons. Nitros jacked up a foot with 24 inch wheels and chrome tack ons. And they sure clerk a lot of heavily discounted yet quite dated minivans. 'Mainstream buyers' or appliance shoppers don't go to a Dodge dealer to shop today. At least when they had the Intrepid and Concorde and 300m and LHS, they got more interest. The new Sebring convertible might be the only thing that brings back some of those people. DCX cannot survive on the rehashed musclecar / dubs and bling thing. Dodge ought to fold up shop, I would even say pickups too. Keep Chrysler and make it an 'American niche brand'. Keep Jeep and do the same. I'd rather see GM/Ford take their business.

oddly, the 08 Escape and Mariner is starting to take off around here. I've seen quite a few in the last couple days.

hmmmmmmm lol -
women control the car purchases these days. in most cases. how do you suppose the camry and accord got so popular in the first place? then, SUV's. women generally know squat about technology and features and engineering in cars until its time to buy, then they go online and read all the drivel the Leinarts of the world write, and then all of a sudden they are 'experts' in the showroom with their internet printouts and CR magazines. "what did REDBOOK or COSMO say about the Camry?" that's why so many cars look and feel soft and cute today. the woman decides probably 70% of the joint purchase. if the man says no, he gets no. How else do you explain market phenomenons like the Lexus RX or ES? Or the Highlander. i had a buddy recently who was actually happy with their odyssey. he loved it. she was having a mid life mom crisis you know, can't be caught in the minivan anymore, cramp their style. She insisted on a Jeep or Pilot and Pilot won. My buddy is still bitching because of the tremendous utility of the Odyssey. But now she feels sexy again I suppose because she's in an 'SUV'. Women car buyers are mostly about image, they just simply use the CR and reliability and internet info to back up whatever it is they want at a given time as far as cars go. You can find all you need to back up whatever decision you want to make yourself believe. is the remote start on the camry FACTORY INSTALLED? or is it a dealer accessory
-
ask miss cleo
-
on star. also ask the camlee folks if they can get factory remote start in their camlee. Or if their cahmrhee has 100,000 mile powertrain coverage. Or if they profits on the cahmrhee subsidize foreign countries and trade deficit. the chevy dealers should make sure to get white camlees because then the nice green "E" sticker on the trunk lid will really stand out nicely. they should also give out a nice timex alarm clock as a test drive momento to remind them of how nice the camlee is inside. another good test would be a sheetmetal test. lean up against the rear quarter on both cars and see which one barely budges and which one flexes like a pop can. maybe for proper effect, they can prop up an aging boomer in the driver's seat of the CMLee. And ask him to be reading a copy of consumer reports while he is driving and sipping on some metamucil.
-
that was what left me with the best impression on my Aura test drive. The engine/tranny is sweet. Motor sings, has power all over, and the tranny is seamless and fast to shift. Wait till she gets hooked on using the slick paddle shifting! If anyone goes to drive the Aura XR and then continues to bleat about being no worthwhile difference between one of GM's classic pushrod powertrains and the OHC/6 speed, I will smack them. Driving the Aura makes up for all those years of GM lagging in powertrains in mainstream vehicles.

reasonable, decent looking, single P, without too many hangups. -
ok, who's to say Iacocca won't surface here? Good thing there's no kirk. secondly, UAW/Gettlefinger, STFU. No one cares. Where will you be in ten years? clearly this company paid to assume the debt and benefits liabilities, and the brand names. The company (overhead) comes with it for free. I am guessing we will see Chrysler scale down now. And they should. Honestly though, they could partner up again with Mitsubishi or Hyundai or whoever and probably set foot in Russia now too.
