LOL seriously, what puzzled me is why an 'American Revolution' campaign when clearly car buyers want to disassociate themselves from everything American? No wonder Chevy wants to dump them. The patriot act in ads is a negative think....possible exception, the new saturn ads, but that tagline may backfire too even though the ads themselves are top notch. Chevy-our country ads ok, otherwise, overhaul. pontiac-great ads, now where is the new product. buick-drive beautiful should be a success. beyond precision was really dumb. saturn-see above cadillac-break through was awesome but had run its course. the life liberty pursuit stuff was dumb GMC-i like the campaign and who they are targeting, but it is dull stuff. perfect for women buyers then. Hummer-their campaign needs to ditch the ecofriendly BS. Hummers are tough go anywhere lifestyle vehicles. bears watching goldilocks in a hummer is not that. saab-on the right path, but not yet flashy enough or image conscious enough. pretentious enough, not yet. Mercury has good ads for women.

just curious, how come castings have less strength? I know the cams on my sho i think were forged, but that did no good because they splined the sprockets to the tube and press fit them. that was a bad design.

i guess i kind of meant, do you feel you have met and know someone you will be with in a realtionship in the future, but there is nothing you can do now with that person....either they are married, etc. or you are or you will be separated. And, in say, 10 years, it would not surprise you that the cosmos brings you together to an explosive reunion and you finally get to experiece with that person after so many years what has intrigued you about each other now as you are or have been acquaintances previously. Like, if your gramma remarried an old neighbor friend after husband one died type of thing, or you get divorced and stumble upon 'an old friend' ten years later. Sometimes you get this creepy but good feeling that that 'future person' has already been revealed to you or has or is part of your life now, it's just that there is no mindset you are in right now where your relationship with that person will change into an intimate type of realtionship although you suspect you both have maybe thought about it as a random thought that pure fancy for the mind.

i prefer good basic flip phones. But other than that, as a browser and an Ipod.....i think its cool. Since i just got a 160 gig apple tv for at home, i won't be popping for an 8gb iphone anytime soon. I'll get/have already gotten much more and better use out of my apple tv than just about any device in recent memory, except for my old 4g 40gb ipod, which is about 3 years old and still works good. if you're a gadget freak and can't afford the iPhone, seriously treat yourself to an apple tv. Browsing for your tv shows and music on the tv is a godsend as opposed to fumbling with discs all day. I'll admit, email on the phone would be cool though.

I like the new IS and am sad to say it is one toyota/lexus I would consider owning. I'd like a new CTS more....but you get the point.

this recall may be a blessing in disguise.....this may actually get people to start to question the integrity of imported products and their manufacturing processes enough to the point they say, 'is cheap always worth it'? double dang. that is a cool story. you need to tell us what happened later after the benefit gala. let me twist the topic a bit for those who care to answer. do you think you have met someone in your life who might be your partner in the future, down the road, if your situation changes? Kind of a reverse of the original question....that is, you have this uncanny feeling you may be with a certain person someday, but not for a long time and no possible way you can be with them now? kind of like that 'person in waiting'.

one of the top 3 concerts i ever saw was journey about 5 years ago with steve augeri as singer, in a club venue. i was like 10 feet from the stage. it was amazing. Augeri was a perfectly good perry replacement at that time, and perfectly capable of keping journey ok for the next several years. what's happened since, know one knows what really happened though. on one of the music message boards i checked, one guy said the only way this band can save face now is to try to get perry back, but knowing how much they hate him, i just don't think it's possible. like i said somewhere else, we'd be best off with a bad english reunion now, since 3/5 of that band was journey anyways. Just tour as bad english with JOhn Waite singing and throw in some Journey songs with the drummer singing (who sounds like Perry anyways).
