i would say with the near 5k off list on 07 focus, find a nice new 3 door or 5 door hatch focus and call it a day. or wait for the astra. the versa is not bad. fit is ugly and has no hp but does get good mpg. rabbit or beetle? lancer? cobat-g5? its one thing to get good mpg, but remember that cars with good mpg cost a lot right now. to get something like a discounted cobalt or focus makes sense from a total cost ownership standpoint. when i see new foci advertised for 10 grand USD, it makes me think about taking them up on it for a couple years and trimming some of the fat from my budget. dated or not, focus is still a fun small car. and you can still talk her into the mazda 3 i think. she seems to be picky and want it all.....good mpg, cheap price, utility and styling. well, this ain't the land of good and plenty. in the cheap car range, you're gonna have to compromise on something. its pretty irrational to be that picky in this class of cars. how bout a G6 SV? 25/34 mpg in a big car? or even a base bu while they are cheap? i always find it comical when people want good mileage (to save $$$$$) but will way overpay in the class of car they buy to get it. Like pay 20 grand for a compact because it got 2-3 mpg better than the 13k compact.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL APPRECIATION THREAD !!!!

yeah, the photos were on the net briefly i guess and the lawyers said take em down. someone is bound to have them. its a publicity stunt for her, she wants to jump from teen tv to real movies i suppose. -
seeing a bunch of them this weekend. ..... the front overhang is HUGE. the headlights are YUCK. i can live with the rest on the outside, i guess. the interior still underwhelms, despite obvious assembly quality. the whole thing has a creepy dated look to it and really is a step down luxury wise compared to the last gen. The plastics all look sort of rich but have a cheesy 90's texture and gloss to them. The console and center stack is bargain basement. matte black? the hooded display looks like an afterthought. shifter and brake look cheap. normally i prefer beige interiors but the accord beige was repellant. in gray it actually looked better but it was still the creepy 90's cool gray. the accords with leather and light dashes present a lot better than the ones with cloth and drab dark gray dash. The cloth sedans in dark look like hell inside and the whole car looks very cheap. with leather and better color combos it does ok.

i spent some time inside a Chrysler van over lunch.....will post impression later. I will say this, the chryslers are improved over the dodge's, by design I suppose....the 40k T&C's interiors were on the verge of acceptable, although still subpar compared to what they should be. the dodge interior in dark/light gray with monotone cloth is absolutely miserable. Just complete yuck. I'm not sure why or how, but the loaded Chrylsers are a big improvement over the base dodge vans.

LIKE THIS!!!! WOW, THAT LOOKS EXPENSIVE those armrests DO NOT look comfortable. in the defense of the endeavor, for a crossover, its nimble and has good seats and lots of trunk. looks be damned.

If you are car shopping or thinking you may be soon..... tell us what you are most likely going to look the most at. No doubt, there are so many models, you like a lot of them. Price, utility, style....so many variables. When it comes down to picking and choosing and meeting your needs, which cars etc. have the best chance of ending up in your driveway? After seeing the new CTS today, I guess I would have to say it only cements in my mind that I could truly get into a G8. I do not think the added bling of the CTS is neccessary for me. I would like the G8 to have all wheel drive, but it might be the only car I am willing to overlook that on. I have a choice of v6 or v8 and I can get a stick. I don't know the price. The interior, I think will be just fine for me, it's very nice. Its a roomy car. It looks great. If I were to ditch the sedan and get a van, I would lean Nissan Quest for sportiness and I think I could even stomach a new Chrysler van, cheap interior and all. Otherwise, none of the mainstream midsize sedans wow me. Including the GM cars. The new Accord holds some intrigue, but it too seems cheap and just a little to 'generation me' for my tastes. The Altima or new mazda6 might be easy for me to stomach, if I am willing to get an import brand. I've owned a lot of Fords, and an Edge or another Taurus/Sable may do it. I like the Flex and if it were attainable and HERE, it may be the way to go. I love space in a vehicle. A new Jetta / Jetta wagon TDI would actually appeal to me if its not pricey. The Acadia, I like, but its heavy, and expensive. Only a base Outlook would be attainable to me, I think. If GM put a six speed in the Impala SS and tightened up the ride and handling, I could think about that. I can't wait to see what the new Impala is like. SO, in the end, I would say I could be patient to see what the G8 turns out like. Funny with all the cars available....there is never the 'perfect one'. Funny, but GM is notably absent of desirable entries in a lot of the less expensive / less profit / less volume market segments. this might be why they so up sh1t creek as a company. WHAT ARE YOU SHOPPING FOR?

can we observe / study the sway of your hips.....for research purposes? just to make sure. of what, i'm not certain. but we need to make sure.

I saw my first new CTS this morning. oh yeah, it looks BIG. and it doesn't come off that much different than the current CTS. interior is tight seemingly, or 'intimate' if you choose that. Caddy does need a new smaller model, if this is what the CTS is now. By the way, Kate Walsh is doing a commerical for caddy. go to cadillac.com smokin' redhead in a cadillac.....oh my that would spice up life.

yeah, but now how will buickman sell so many rendezvoux? lol

the chryco dealer by my house finally got a couple. it was between light and dark out so you couldn't really get the best read on it, but at least these T&C seemed to come off better than the cheap ass caravans the other day. where the caravan had the dungeon interior, this T/C had a lighter gray I think and nicer fabric. it had the plood and stuff. the presentation was a little improved. I'll have to check it out again in the light tomorrow morning. the thing still looks like jabba the hut. it has girth. it has length. and its bloated and taut at the same time. funny thing is the second row seats do not look comfy and have a very short backrest. the rear seat was at a real odd angle and did not look to have all that much room. the van is fricking huge and yet it looks cramped in the third row. -edit- looking at in light. still looks cheap on the inside, but not as dismally cheap as say, the charger or magnum or caliber. very upright and conservative interior, pleasant but not aspirational. The two rear orws of seats still like really funny. For what it's worth, looking at odysseys this morning also, a base odyssey in dark/cloth interior is kind of deadly as well.

even the GT was a slug in real driving. i hope a 2.4 is available on the new one. -
LMAO. i better email my buddy and see if the wheels fell off his new civic yet!
-
wow. i didn't realize HOW redundant their worldwide lineup is. for that many models, you'd think they'd sell MORE cars.
-
when demand for new camries nosedives (because of accord, altima and malibu).....and 200,000 a year start flooding auctions off lease......... tell me that won't beeoch slap the resale of the fluff car.

i have to sway my hips to counteract the momentum from my beer gut swinging back and forth. hmm, no wonder so many female coworkers lately have been wanting to have nurturing conversations with me about feelings and relationships, and wondering what I think of their imported hand bags.

how does the new IMPREZA fit in all of this? now, with the civic recalls, i would say this DROPS them down further they FALL OFF the list.
