i've always thought since bu went epsilon that a turbo bu would be SWEET.

I just get upset when people imply that a luxury car has to be a track car It shouldn't be a floater. and as long as everyone knows that the CTS has never been a floater. Even the STS has been a good drivers car for quite a while now. Even some DTS/Concours have had pretty good road manners for awhile now.

i am so aghast at why people are implying the CTS is soft. the fker has an incredible handling level that most folks will never access!!!!!! Your average gen Y blogger punk who managed to finally get a job and car loan, singing the BMW praises likely can barely drive to save their life. I bet some of those punks haven't even had their license for more than 5-6 years and their only frame of reference is some riced up civic! Most punks berating the CTS likely couldn't even drive a Hyundai accent to 10/10th without hurting bystanders much less themselves. holy crap, people. the car is at least 90% the handling prowess of the BMW if not more than 90%. The CTSv isn't even out yet. Who are the dumb asses making people think the CTS is a floater? JESUS CHRIST! Have you heard of FE3?

dodge still needs to have cars. I can see not giving dodge or chrysler any true SUV's. But the Journey will be dodge (don't stop believin baby) and the pacifica is getting canned although i think chrysler should have one crossover. but at a minimum, dodge still needs to have cars. guys, they are doing this to carve up the brands. maybe someday soon, chrysler's brands will be like 5% market here in the US, but the gist of what they are doing is to establish the brands for better positions in other countries and make their killing there. we are prob headed for a future of GM increasing US share a bit, Ford hoping to recover, and those 2 being the only major US players in the NA market.

holy crap. why can't we just say the award represents a top notch effort at style, luxury, performance, and value? The CTS is a superlative combination of all those attributes in a package that is desirable to many folks out there. Did anyone pull their thumb out of their collective asses long enough to think that maybe this car is in a category by itself? is it as hard edged as a BMW? no. maybe it doesn't need to be. Not that the MKs is as near as good a car as this caddy is, but to some degree it's kind of the same deal. It's attributes emphasize a combination of things not previously offered in the market but is highly value laden and desirable to a sizable chunk of buyers. IOW, the car is not $h! and deserves to be recognized for what it does bring to the table of its potential buyers, which can be a sizable group. as usual, carbiz is right. Why is a car crap if it doesn't meet the extreme parameters of what car mags want? 90% of the folks on here or buyers in general have far worse cars in their garage and couldn't drive any of these cars at 7/10 without $h!ting in their pants anyways.

money goes back to the same till and geta borrowed for the same 0.5% probably.......... there's a certain hypocrisy in making big profits bleeding tree huggers dry on prius' but at the same time not being as socially conscious with regards to protected animal slaughter and murder since that group of folks can often be one in the same.........

the door sill is high, the pillar is low and pushed very far back, and the steering wheel per usual GM is low and pushed far back and cannot be adjusted that well. trying to wedge yourself into the drivers seat is a bit of a gymnastics exercise, even compared to the focus or fusion or 07 bu. the cobalt is probably easier to get in and out of. the driver's seat is narrow and the console and beltline are high and overall the passenger space is narrow. Once you manage to get under the roof of the car, the headroom is fine, it just takes putting the seat way too low and far back and the steering wheel adjuster, well, you might as well reach down and scratch your butt while you're down there. I just think a midsizer should have better access and girth and such. Of course I am spoiled considering all the room i have everyday. the steering wheel thing is a problem on lots of GM cars. My Aztek has it, the inlaws 88 has it, parents seville and s-10 has it, even when i sample a lambda, the damn steering wheel is in your stomach and it comes out of the dash too low. i don't know about import cars but the 00-07 focus had a steering wheel that was perfect size and in exactly the right spot and could be adjusted perfectly. I will say this about the magnum loaner i had earlier this year. the steering wheel and seat relationship and cabin girth were all good. if those chryco products could lose the cabin claustrophobia they did have nice accomodations aside from the really dumb turn signals and cruise control. GM really doesn't build commodious sedans anymore. the DTS might be the only one now. The Lucerne has the same ingress / egress issues as the Malibu, to a little lesser extent, but i guess it at least preserves the width. The CTS and STS are pains to get in and out of. People are becoming less tolerant of the low slung car thing. -
empowah.....good one. all i know is i've bought my last windows box. some may think mac is overpriced, but spending any amount of money on windows sh1t is probably a far greater sin.

maybe so, but i can count on one hand the amount of times I have been on GMI and crashed in the last two years. i'm willing to put some jing in the pot and c'mon, let's not avoid the issue, maybe it's time for some ad dollars to help out. nothing cuts into a time starved lunch hour more than excessive server crashing

had pontiac put a 6 speed auto in the GXPv8 or had they put the 3.6 HF in the GP, i think i would have got one instead of my 500. as it was, i thought the 4 speed blunted the v8's fun factor enough for me to wait on the next big thing from pontiac. g8 is it, if they ever put AWD on it.

my first serious A/V gear i bought in college was onkyo, but i sold it to buy some sansui we had EPP specials on when I worked at BBY. I still have the Sansui in a box in the basement and it works fine, it was one of the first pro logic receivers. Serious power too. Most of the gear I have now is Sherwood Newcastle pieces I got from Ubid when Ubid when was worth anything. The Newcastle brand is seriously good stuff, a little off beat, and seems to be holding up quite well. Besides the Philips DVD and plasma that's held up well, and besides the ancient Pioneer DVD in the basement, I have a newer Pioneer DVD that is a nice piece but I don't use it often because of where its at. I have typically found Pioneer to have excellent quality in just about everything they make. Car audio espcially. I might get some updated equipment next year, probably Marantz or Denon or Newcastle. Bro in law is an installer and can get a good deal. I think those brands all tend to be fairly reliable. The APple TV media extender I got is reliable and is a lot more convenient to use than a DVD player.

I heard the G8 was going to be designed and built in Austrailia, though. You may not want one if that's the case. If Apple made an "iGrill" what would it look like? I have an iFan by the way....LOL

i once burned my foot in mine grilling up some bacon. those george foreskin grills are pretty popular. design wise they are pretty sexy for a kitchen appliance.

the new bu is prob a good car for anyone 5'-9" and under, mostly chicks and thin / no beer ledge metrosexual guys who wear the flat front pants with comfort and still have room for the mail. the bu is not a commodious car in the front for anyone of girth or like 5'-11 or taller. my guess is the interior will be popular with smaller women up to 5'-6"/5'-7" who will find the fit just right and nicely intimate. -
well natalie could start by becoming attractive first.

i've burned through one 'cyberhome' dvd player and the other is going to crap. we're getting the in laws a dvd player for xmas. i saw n blackfriday.com one place has an after tgiving door buster 'coby' dvd player for 9.99 i can't even be that mean to them. last year i got a philips 1080i upscale hdmi dvd player for the living room for like 50 bucks and i see they had em at walmart for 40 bucks now. its worth it to spend the 10 or 20 more bucks and get one that has a chance of lasting. It's amazing how many dvd players i have gone through now considering i don't use onethat much but the first dvd player i bought almost 10 years ago now, the pioneer, still works like a charm....
