  1. such a shame. pulling out is never fully guaranteed and doesn't feel good either. it usually just ends up being a great big mess. ........
  2. http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articl...88_FORTUNE5.htm just an update on the Spring Hill and Traverse. Why do i need to see this on BON first?
  3. one caveat. subies and volvos are AWD mostly. GM was shortshighted and G8 will not appear to have AWD or manual trans.
  4. at least the vue's rear hatch is solid and closes with a germanic thunk. the RAV's rear 'hatch' closes like a cheap screen door on a southern tin shack.
  5. the aztek is in my garage and the SSR is in my neighbors garage!
  6. you mean the CTS Maxx? Ugly and expensive. The G8 wagon is much nicer!
  7. edge outsells pilot by a lot and almost outsells lambdas combined accord only up 4.6% in dec, much lower than the other months, any coincidence that corresponds with malibu's release? HMMMMMMMMMM Of course, silly me, its ACURA whose sedans are down 20-50%......ugh, i get the ACURAS AND THE HONDAS so confused......
  8. i wish my 500 were flex fuel. I have like 3 or 4 E85 stations within 5 miles of home. Makes sense though, the corn growers assoc. offices is in my town too!
  9. taurus X is up 45% over freestyle and acadias and enclaves are turning fastest of any models in production. Cx-9 is selling well. new accord is NOT. I have seen maybe 2 on the road since the intro many months ago.
  10. the office jenna fischer grows me a tree and dwight is hilarious
  11. that is a RAGING bargain. yet the RAV4 you gotta pay so much more for so much less.....
  12. all I can say is DUH! http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=124525#2 *thanks to Lambdas.
  13. vue is a great choice. congrats! keep us informed on the mpg.
  14. Magnum- look grew tired and ugglee. most folks thought it had a hemi and bad gas mileage. interior was terrible and claustrophobic. market got flooded with 2.7l rentals. they never told the public it could be had with AWD. Sloped roof and too high load floor compromised cargo ability. Long wheelbase made it look unwieldy. otherwise, great car. Mazda6 wagon- never was advertised. Some folks sought them out. But their blandness never helped their cause. the notchback had nearly the same cargo capacity. Sportcombi-tiny cargo area. G8 wagon may also suffer from small cargo area as the roof tapers down in the back as well. But at least the look is more mainstream than the magnum hearse. Aura wagon should not preclude bringing over 10k G8 sportwagons. G8 ST and SW are basically already desgined and in the hopper. For pontiac to slap the grille on and send a few over is no risk. This is a low risk, high reward ENDEAVOR. Because they all have the G8 tag, it is the same 'model' and prob saves them cert fees. ANyone who would poopoo this is just a sour grapes curmedgeon.
  15. from certain angles the accord coupe looks ok, but when you look at the pure side profile, that is where it looks awkward, plus the grille is less than pleasing. the G6 has a nice drama in the side character line that has great motion to it and pinches to a resolved point on the decklid which is neat. there are a surprising amount of coupe choices these days. And the asian ones all seem to have similar 0-60's etc. eclipse, accord, altima. for me, the altima loses out because of its non existent trunk. that said, i give a pass for the eclipse, even with similar flaws. It is just more unique than the altima. the accord is passable to me but not desirable, and its interior is rank. so of those 3, i'd probably get the eclipse simply because its unique look. now the G6 to me loses out in the interior, so while i think its a looker, the interior might give me pause. if the v6 camaro were a choice, this would all be moot. hell, once the duratec is in the mustang, than its no contest either really.
  16. yes. sadly, the press is out to bad mouth things like ethanol. front page of paper today? 'ethanol production risks groundwater supply' or something. basically saying we'll use up all our wate making ethanol. so the lierals and lefties and press are out to kill alt. fuels.
  17. Subaru XT Nissan PULSAR Rabbit convertible Beetles
  18. the mustang will still likely end up as the most affordable to buy v6 car of the 3, even after the new duratec hits it. I don't see Chevy working hard to keep the price low on the Camaro. The Camaro probably has the best new age proportioning. It looks really grounded to its chassis and road, whereas the challenger is just another redo of the jacked up 60's look. That, and it's cabin proportion to the rest of the car is too old school as well. We'll have to pass judgment on the Mustang until the 2010 redo as far as new model styling. The Camaro is hot. too bad it has such a crappy interior design. The Challenger is like the Viper, it always looks like a hodge podge cobbled together.
  19. OMG i wish i could find my old .jpg's of a car that parked in front of our office one time. BMW Z9. I saw the damn thing outside and I had to grab the dig and snap few. that is one car i could cut my nuts off to drive. I got AWESOME photos of it. I think to this day, I have seen the Z9 only one other time on the highway.
  20. i don't think anyone likes the armor all glossy look these days.
  21. it really don't look much different than the C series hatch from like 8-10 years ago.
  22. I think what i am waiting for is to see if pontiac just goes all black and drab or whatever. If you look at statesman and commodore pics on the internet, you see there are many versions of this interior with all sorts of different colors, cloth, trim, detailing etc. I for one, would be all for one with a combination of black upper dash and tan lower dash and doors, with metal looking trim and nice cloth or perf leather seats. When they start making G8's here, they will need to upgrade the center stack and console and stuff. and put window switches on the door. I was scoping an 08 charger this wkd. I absolutely hate the exterior, but the 08 interior revisions help it some. I would hope the G8 interior at least is on par or better than the charger updates. To me, if it comes down to maybe picking between an 08 charger with AWD and 6 cyl, and the pontiac with 6 cylinder but no AWD, at least the one with the nicer interior will have an advantage to me. Of course, Lutz could have helped me out some on this. Bring me the g8 sportwagon with DI v6, AWD, manual trans or 6 speed auto or DSG and it would be an easy choice.
  23. and no one wants to drive this anyways. no one, if left to free choice, would choose a 1.4L turbo in a $h!box.
  24. GM's interiors have improved but they are still using cheap plastic. and I can't understand why its so hard to get it throught their heads it still degrades the product.
