  1. there are like 3 or 4 e-85 stations within 5 miles of my house. of course, the MN corn growers office is right by a couple of those pumps. go figure
  2. the RL was a C/D ten best, yet it can't sell to save its life. product excellence is no longer enough. there is a weird perception factor that drives everyone to purchase what they do, aside from things like styling, which is where acura is fumbling. although, i think the genesis is flawed in that it does not have AWD.
  3. if this happens, i hope no one buys anymore jeeps here. nardelli. he raped home depot and he is piloting the boat that will rape chrylser. i am sure he will get a second gold parachute out of that one. to me, its akin to selling harley to the japanese or chinese or something. at some point Americans will sit up and put an end to this. We are reaching a point where people are starting to become aware that their product choices do affect their lifestyles here in the US.
  4. i SHAWD-do hope that fixes it then. doesn't cure 61% weight on the front wheel tho
  5. exxon 40 billion profit GM 39 billion loss guess we know where the priorities are in this country
  6. i will say this. it has a real RWD chassis and a real v8 so it does have instant cred over the RL. It has styling and interior edges as well.
  7. well, enjoy hanging out at hollywood hotspots in your HYUNDAI then. do you wear faux cologne too? it's not POLO it's HORSEY
  8. taylor swift is the real deal. grammys are pure music industry indulgent bull$h!. a worthless indicator of what people really like.
  9. last i checked. i live here. and usa is getting a 3.5 v6. finally, a real engine in a mazda. vigor and legend were nice looking.
  10. saab cut your prices and bring out new models! saab needs an all new 9-3, 9-5, 9-2, 9-7, 9-4 and aero x / sonnet its gm's own fault if their sales are low. i read that saab is planning to expand sales in russia
  11. in case people haven't seen it, Road and Track has a seriously good write up on the 3 door Astra XR. a very nice review. check it out. blu that means you too.
  12. did you like the G8 interior? was the HHR SS there?
  13. the part they forgot to mention. the v8 genesis will be 40 grand. the other part people conveniently forget. the 335i is always 45 g plus. one excoworker female got a 325 or 328 or whatever. another coworker is getting one. i wonder if it will even have real leather. vinyl seats in a subcompact car and you hope its less than 40k.
  14. taylor swift is really really attractive. wow. amy winehouse kind of needs to get her act together.
  15. yeah but at least the mazda looks nice and has an engine under the hood
  16. that's where i got my aztek. i love what they did with their dealership. one of their sales guys is the brother of my dads most recent boss before he retired. my dad used to know the rydells who started it many years ago and used to sell implements to them. he's probably gotten over 10 vehicles from them over the past 30-40 years. now they have mondo dealers across the country, including the ford dealer by my house here where i got my 500. in both cases the sales experience has been excellent. they also have some saturn franchises down here too. they have a BPG dealer in SF too i think.
  17. your point might be valid if we were referring to actual acuras. as it is, a rebadged 4 popper pint sized fwd accord holds about as much appeal as a luxed out camry unfortunately. it needs to stop being a 'premium economy car'. looks-nothing power-nothing interiors-middle of the road for luxury segment dealers-arrogant the tsx's interior has the same mess of buttons as the toro and bonne which is why the pics were on there. same jumbled mess of crap on the dash
  18. that tsx is dull. OMG it's dull. I suppose the gamers will like it. But even the 9-3 is far more interesting. BTW, a local used dealer has an 06 9-3 aero cylinder six speed for sale....only 20 grand with 20k miles.....I need to drive that. i got over there saturday and saw it out in the freezing cold. i wanted to get inside it but then some other dude had it out on a test drive. isn't 20 grand a bit low for an 06 9-3 v6 aero with such few miles?
  19. Jetta TDI wagon, definitely a sleeper. will that be getting DSG? killing the environment, minute by minute. LOL. i bet that skank beeoch is a polluting hypocrit herself. astra-not as functional as the rabbit i would bet. i found this notion after sitting in one and realizing how small it is and how bad the rear visibility is. great post blu. warming up to the g8 now?
  20. those pics look nice. the interior is more desirable. the back end looks nicer. ah, but does it have flash to pass??????? this thing will remain on the radar for me. at 25k though in a VW, i can bet that is way stripped. the quest was semi fun to drive. if this thing handles better and has more go juice, and is reasonably priced, it may end up in my garage.
  21. freestar had an uncompetitive v6, a 4 speed tranny, cheap plastic, bad interior design, noisy interior, poor third row seat, lacked AWD option, no second row stow. it was an upgrade over the windstar, but fell short of the curve the others had set. Minivans would be competitive again if they simply got racier with styling, made the interiors a little more driver oriented, and offered AWD. People in charge at places like Ford though are very short sighted business types. They have no ability to see design possibilities and they never want to develop designs or products, the beancounters kill it the first chance they can. That is what overpaid business leaders do, at least in the US. They like to stifle anything that isn't a get rich quick slam dunk. i doubt the Flex will sell huge, even if i think its interesting and may end up with one. it is a niche vehicle. it may sell more retail units than the freestar. the thing that the flex has the freestar didn't was an up to date powertrain and AWD. I still think Ford should make a new minivan, with sliding doors. It has the platform and the parts. a 'kinetic design' minivan with an engaging interior for the driver and superior 2nd and 3rd row function would be a no brainer. it makes me beyond upset we see once popular huge sellers like the windstar and ranger get their business stolen by the rice groups because the vehicles were not kept fresh.
  22. suzuki would be more than happy to sell those folks a grand vitara.
