  1. saab needs a volume car, absolutely.....one reason why i say saab needs a couple models to fall in between vw and acura, something to compete with jettas and passats up through the tsx and tl. saab can never be a BMW beater, and it doesn't need to be. cadillac is evolving hopefully to compete more with bmw, but saab should not be saddled with the weight of having to match BMW tit for tat. Saab still needs a game changing 9-5 that should totally kick ass but i don't think the 9-3 needs to go directly against the 3 series. if the 9-3 were more stylish and a better performer than the tsx and passat for a similar price, maybe saab would get somewhere. a 9-1 or 9-2 priced right could really clean up against all the overpriced minis and c30's and a3s and decked out GLI's. not every single car maker has to be compared to BMW. or be priced as stupidly. a 135i for 43 grand? nice, but good luck with that. plus, if saab sells models that do not cross over with cadillac they nicely coexist in the showroom together.
  2. i think i still like the aura better than the malibu. these are good changes. any improvements to the BAS like on the vue?
  3. BLUETOOTH? USB? HMI? can you voice activate the music player ala sync? power pedals on my 500 are the bomb. it would be hard to get another car without them. stabilitrak standard now, but even the 09 focus has advance trac standard too, so this is becoming universal. WHERE'S NAV!?!?!?!?! LOL
  4. the good beef jerky i get at the grocery store isn't even from the US....it's from brazil or God knows where.
  5. at least test the HHR SS in the meantime!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/motor/nasca...sh-toyota_N.htm ah toyota, you wanted to be top of the hill so bad, well all this press is what comes with it.
  7. read winding roads review of the g8......aurora had 25hz chassis stiffness.....g8 is 55hz....over 2 times as stiff (some of you may like that!) anyways......crash safety and rock solid feel take precedence in this country....and there is only so much high strength steel or aluminum they can be willing to pay for too. the vault like chassis that mags have been praising for good steering and suspension, that is how you get it. what are you gonna sacrifice? Look under the hood of a nissan rogue and look at how flimsy all the brackets etc are. now look under the hood of a NA designed domestic car......stout components. lean agaist the rear fender of an altima and feel it flex. now lean against the fender of something else. you can only remove weight down to a point. i am sure toyota did that with their tundra tailgate. the vue weight is out of hand, but i don't think the g8 is all that much, considering the length, wheelbase, and track dimensions. the g8 is a LARGE LARGE car! v6 g8 for those who don't want to get in trouble with the 360hp + especially in winter.
  8. pontiacs have always looked good in white, to me, albeit those are relics from the cladding era. these stories of dealer markups are disturbing.

  10. he's right.
  11. Japan Inc decided it would be best for world domination to let toyota specialize in hybrids and let Honda diversify into other technologies to a greater degree, in key markets.
  12. staceface, needs to show some face here
  13. no, i am saying Japan told toyota they would do the hybrids and Honda won't, as much.
  14. OK, give us a car make and model and tell us if you think the car is 'male' or 'female'. It's that easy! I'll start VW Eos - FEMALE VW Tiguan - FEMALE Pontiac G8 - Male Chrysler PT Cruiser - FEMALE Chevy Malibu - FEMALE Ford Fusion - Male and some, it's not so clear, or you think different. Let's have some fun with this!
  15. thanks for dropping by, you non-poster! j/k how bout some of the ladies who haven't posted for awhile, c'mon, at least stop and show C/G some love!
  16. ok, it's not what you think! LOL this is the thread where those C/G'ers who haven't posted for a long time, can post in this thread and let us know you're alive.... so come on out and let us you know you are still here....!
  17. so, japan paid for hybrid synergy drive. and honda got screwed because now they give up on the accord hybrid and have to go diesel
  18. i like the design. its not puke like so many japanese cars. sorta italian. i hope it survives a crash test. it looks better than the new hyundai coupe. looks better than the already dated camaro.
  19. i still fickung hate toyota though, regardless. want a laugh? read C/D review of the corolla XRS......LOL
  20. one thing that bothers me is Press benefited from this while at Toyota....now, he is on other team, and for him to say this, even if true, is very convenient, because it would theoretically help Chrysler, who he works for now. Then, either Chrysler gets sold and Press profits from that or he takes over Chrysler and profits from it that way.
  21. or even to just have their support!
  22. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23793222/page/2/ ah, it comes out y'all still want to keep humping toyota's leg now?
  23. i drove a metro once, and I was FRIGHTENED.
  24. she will like just about everything about the edge, except the edge interior is not lavish by any means, and its rather androgynous. she will probably like the way it drives.
  25. i am for anything that keeps this new camaro from evolving into a redneck car again.
