indeed, you don't need all that salty bitterness. aren't the best ones the ones you have to crack to eat? surprisingly, peanut butter has very little salt. i had always thought it had lots in it.
-
indeed. once you know where to look though, you can find good deals on walnuts and almonds, otherwise they are spendy. walnuts, mmmmm, i could down them all day.

toyota got what it asked for. they used to sell to 'well bred intellectuals' but then the moment joe six pack buys them of course they become like grand ams at the auction. the camry became the new grand am and grand prix. and when you see them lined up at the rental place? No duh, this was going to happen. Why the jerks buy into the 'higher resale' thing boggled my mind.

for what people pay for camrys the g8 is a better buy. once the g8 gets the DI v6 and 6 pot, it will be the g8 to get.

auto show next weekend! i think this camaro has the sizzle that may get people off the couch, spring is coming. this may be emotional enough car to jump start sales. dealers better not gouge. i saw the challenger srt this wkd and i was like 'meh'.

Motor Authority: An Opel Insignia Rebadge For Cadillac?
regfootball replied to cire's topic in Cadillac
the stretched STS here as a temporary placeholder car would be a good idea. -
in fact, peanut butter is a staple for me these days. Nothing like a little nut butter in the morning.....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
-
Yup KC is right. MUFA's are good for you. Blu, you like nuts, right? Nuts are MUFA's. I like to snack on nuts, i do admit a weakness for them.

one time my buddy had a chevy corsica work/fleet car. a real dinger. anyways, one day he picked me up to go somewhere it was about 100 degrees out. inside the car the air was not working well. he had his dogs with. 2 dalmations, 2 hyper and just fed dalmations. the dogs started farting in the car. BOTH OF THEM. 100 degree day, air not working. the smell of the dogs alone without the farts was enough to make me sick. the farts almost put me under. i almost puked.
-
plus, avacado is a MUFA. good for ya that way too!

yeah, the 4 speed is a big problem for me. but there are no SXT AWD's out there, well hardly. no 08s anyways. the 08's get the nice interior and nice new headlights. the hatch design is brilliant that and the packaging are why it appeals to me so much. I love cars with good space efficiency and function. The magnums back seat is awesome also. is it true the stability control system had a major upgrade for 08 as well? one of the best features, the cargo area on each side aft of the wheelwells has what appears to be handy places to restrain gallon milk jugs for those trips to the groc store.
-
yes it would be a major inconvenience. if i lived down south i'd prob own a g8, cts, or LX car. no doubt.
-
we won't see that until we start to see the intellectual class needing to get laid off from their consultant, professor and 'industry expert' jobs.
-
test drove an 08 Magnum again yesterday and remembered why i like them as much as I do. I'm getting sick of driving in tall cars and want something low slung again. And the utility, yeah. The way the clamshell hatch opens, perfect for getting to your cargo. With the 08 interior updates in tan, a livable interior! Not a vessel of death! And just when i might like it, they kill it. Good values on the lot, BTW. Very affordable. Really also makes a good case for the cool wagons like the CTS wagon and G8 wagon.

i understand peter's frustration, but he really at this point is preaching to the choir and his writing has gone to the place that none of the people he is trying to wake up will get it. people still are in the 'consumer reports says toyota makes the best cars', 'my uncle has a 17 year old camry that he has never changed the oil and it has 876,000 miles on it and we just put a new clutch in it last week', etc. yada. and i still believe at the root of this anti detroit and anti American sentiment.....basic racial profiling. those smart asians like to hole up in an office and spend 80 hours a week engineering their way out of a concrete vault with really great math because you know those asians go to school a lot and they get good grades and so they do a really good job making nice reliable cars for us American consumers. Just for us! Anything they build is so much better. Much better than the inefficient people who work at GM and Ford, you know, all the high priced middle managers that work their and get overpaid and all the union people who sit on their asses or don't show up for work and make 264 dollars an hour. I shouldn't have to pay for their health care or salary and dammit they should work 12 hours a day for free with no breaks and no heat just because its my car they are building because dammit, my job sucks too and i only make 120,000 a year working from home writing reports...or making multi colored pie graphs on powerpoint........well ok i do facebook all day with my other at home coworkers but that's besides the point, i have to go to a work meeting at the Florida resort this weekend. And those Germans, they really design all the fashionable cars, they are EUROPEAN you know. Everything from Europe is cool. It doesn't matter that my German car is in the shop a lot, German cars are better because they are so chic and they drive them at 120 miles per hour on the autobahn and all those people over there have such cool accents. Honestly, though, if the govt wants to help GM, the best thing they could do is ante up some dough to redo all the interiors on a lot of their cars and give them grade A++ plastic and knockout designs at any cost. and a few six speed trannies and some new engines. Honestly that would be the quickest way to chip away at all the negativity. I still believe interiors is right up at the top in terms of what makes someone's opinion of a brand. If GM for example put VW level or better interiors in their chevys, then that might finally start to get people turned around.

any carmaker that wants to lead the world in volume needs to be a huge player in the US. Toyota got that. Hyundai is trying now for that. VW so far is not. They have a market a little cornered on the hip and urban crowd. However, in order to bust it in volume, and there are only so many hip urbanites, VW will have to go the way of Toyota and Hyundai and start fleet dumping and saving themselves by zero and making your payments when you lose work. And also if they flood the market like a grand am then their perceived value will nosedive which will piss off the current VW bangers who still stick with it because its hip, even if their car is in the shop 6 times a year. So expect a day when its not impalas and G6's being advertised used by the truckload for 149/mo 72 months 6.9 apr see fine print for more details. I am surprised VW really wants to go this way. And really, VW wants to be number one but they don't even have a decent aluminum 4 cyl non turbo in their core product here in the US. If VW wants to be mainstream here, then they need to pony up with some decent non turbo, non premium gas, non diesel, non iron block 4 bangers. remember when mits tried to whore its way to market share? Is this what VW wants to do?

LOL nearly everyone i know who's owned a VW recently says the same thing. How does VW plan to take over the world without repeat buyers?
