  1. and if the next gen astra were the next g4, also.... or honestly some form of the cruze with a better powertrain....... g3, g5, VIBE all should go. i would get crucified for suggesting the vibe go, but. i also feel the sky is generally more liked than the solstice but with the new targa and all the current solstice design should be allowed to live out its cycle. if pontiac survives, any future roadster should be on alpha.
  2. is smoking crack an epidemic in Japan, or at least within the confines of the area surrounding the Honda engineering and design offices?
  3. ohmi, the damage to the cerebral cortex is too great. we must sacrifice YO head in the meat slicer grille!!!!!!!!!
  4. CHECKING BACK, did that clear the brain of these horrible pictures?
  5. mazda6 hatch was a nice car. ok everyone repeat after me, LEGEND INTEGRA NSX LEGEND INTEGRA NSX
  6. happens with humans too. it's just that you have to take the woman to the steakhouse, pay a big bill, and leave a tip. the monkeys just bring the meat. so to speak (rim shot). all in all, meat for sex. fair trade i'd say. a lot cheaper dowry than a 4 bedroom suburban house and a crossover SUV in the garage, and a constant show of emotional support. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7988169.stm
  7. x2 its like you could expect this to show up in a sorrento or borrego or veracruz, but maybe thats what they want all very odd to me considering i like the commander's interior. THAT says Jeep. i think that maybe had they simply made more drama and butchness in the center stack and console it would be ok overall. this is a jeep for cryin out louds and there are no grab handles on the dash or console. there is nothing about the dash or door panels that signifies ruggedness. it's almost like nardelli himself styled the interior with a corporate memo. at least give kudos for material quality.
  8. just go to a used car lot. looking in the wheel wells, under the hood, doors, trunks, lots of spots if you look you will see little bits forming. i am not talking all cars. its a handful at the 5 year stage. but its enough of them that they seriously check it over. thing is, if any rust is visible on your car, the trade in value is shot. by year 7 you see a greater percentage. by 7 years you want to be out of your vehicle anyways because by that point its nickel and diming you to death anyways compared to any worth it has left.
  9. wrong. not in this area. so stop it already. every dealer looks for that first here on trade in inspection. many used cars on lots here in the 5-7 y.o. range will have some somewhere, and i myself have had rust show on a 5 year old and 7 year old vehicle despite being meticulous about washing as much as possible. they dump salt all over here and its just a fact that despite people's best efforts it is an issue.
  10. Happy Easter in advance! Even if there are no bunnies and ham.....have a good one.
  11. i still don't get why the BRANDS need to go. ITS THE DEALERS THAT NEED TO BE SHED.
  12. i want to see how the DI 3.6 (nee Camaro powertrain) implanted in the 010 G8 turns out. that, to me, will be a worthy blend of value and performance, if they hold the line on pricing for it. the g8 needs to be marketed more with the v6, even if the v8 is more desirable. right now, the g8 is only running on enthusiast fumes. when the economy picks up again, the g8 could be one of those cars that busts the sales doors open, if the pricing and product line is right. what they should be doing with the g6 line, is cutting production and not fleeting out so many, then build more value v6 editions. or essentially the GXP spec cars with maybe a little less plush inside but at market reasonable prices. leave more of the 4 cylinder sales to malibu. of course, i also think they should graft the pontiac nose on the aura body and make that the g6.
  13. and the CTS wagon is lustful. best wagon i may have ever seen. More than makes up for axing the current SRX.
  14. both are very stunning in person.
  15. i liked the iQ before i saw it with all this retarded ricer garb on it.
  16. the GC is the heart of Jeeps lineup i just hope they can sell enough of them the next few years to help. Unfortunately, the heavy duty SUV era is on a bit of life support...... the GC may benefit from the exit of the trailblazer and full frame explorer. the diehards for those will move up to the tahoes and expeditions.
  17. considering that you can buy a used ex fleet one from 2006 for about 15 grand i would tend to say a lot of folks don't really think of them as premium.
  18. i was merely intimating that you can't make a put down on the terrains lighter build when the benefit to it is an affordable price tag and far superior fuel economy.....which, in a tough economy, is why the new GC may not do well and why the Terrain may be very popular. especially since the GC looks more korean than anything else.
  19. even toyotas history of whoring camrys on lease is showing a huge drop in their resale.
  20. i am way up north!. sounds like the car has a clean bill of health to me then. like i said, the cobalt has the big powertrain warranty, but the CPO left on that beemer is nice as well. i think what tips the scale on it is the performance package. i've driven the base beemers and they don't have that great of performance advantage.
  21. you would regret not getting the G8 GT. or not waiting for the DI v6 in 2010.
  22. definitely pass on the astra if you want the automatic. its not BAD, its just that the drive is way better in the manual. also the climate controls take a bit to figure out, so if that bothers you then yeah, just pass. g5 is fine! i would rule out the base g8 with the v6. 2010 gets the DI v6 and 6 speed that would be well worth the wait. base g8 is not refined, compared to an LTZ malibu. the 5 speed shifts hard and the car doesn't feel quick.
