  1. i've never bought what i thought was a bad car. but i did rent a rav 4 once that i hated.
  2. well they have their bailout money now, soo.......... should be interesting to see if Pontiac makes a magical comeback.......as a niche brand ....LOL maybe GM promised Koeniggsegg some future tech or cash in return for floating saab until the new 9-4 and 9-5 hit the showrooms........ "this just in, Robert Lutz confirms the G8 and solstice to remain through 2012. alpha based g6 to arrive in 2013...."
  3. after driving a CVT again today, it just reminds me how weird the CVT is. I know they say folks get used to it, but eh, in a Jeep?
  4. i prefer the A3 dash to the rigid A4 setup myself. well, ok the old a4. the a3 seems more driver oriented.
  5. so a golf diesel that costs 10 grand more like the A3, but a little bit much to pay for a veedub
  6. the CTS wagon is attractive enough that i think it will challenge that view. the SRX wagon so ass ugly....ok. not ass ugly like my aztek. but it clearly did not resonate with the public on styling.
  7. yes, cruze in the greenhouse and solara roof. i'm glad i wasn't the only one thinking that. there's about 8 other cars this thing is playing off of.
  8. my gut tells me lutz will have the 3.6 in the lineup for this vehicle sooner rather than later.
  9. if you want the sigma buy the cts wagon. the lexus rx was the segment sales leader and the new srx is more appealing than that. the old SRX did not sell so they killed it. this new SRX is enters Caddy in the much morelucrative RX segment, but they decided to take the old name back if they would have cancelled the SRX, no one would have missed it. by entering the new one, cadillac gets stronger in this segment. enthusaists can buy the cts wagon and its even better in every way than the SRX. women and crossover buyers can buy the new one and it will sell more vs the RX. i for one tend to think this approach will pay off for GM.
  10. cts wagon
  11. jalopniks 2.8t review is up now too and they like it
  12. sammy 51 dave 49 VH would have been dead without hagar
  13. bland and derivite but not offensive. better than the accord at least. good to see the late 90's cab forward come back. meh
  14. LOW TORQUE + HIGH WEIGHT = SLUG. I should know i had a 500. ALTHOUGH, with low torque and high weight the 500 was quite sprite above 35-40 mph once the top end kicked in and the 6 speed was quite good keeping the engine on the boil. I suspect GM will need to tune the 3.0 LaCrosse the same way. I agree GM should have like one or two v6's but the jackasses in europe probably can only manage a 3.0 with all their taxes there on displacement so GM prob had to make the 3.0 size to appease those twerts.

  19. i figured. they have the image on their site, but no links. its like those ebay emails to get your paypal or cc info.
  20. oh, you know my plans in that regard
  21. still driving it for now. word is from a relative who owns a tranny shop a few hours away, that is shouldn't go fast and its fairly typical for GM / my car with that tranny. he also said maybe try lubegard or something and see if it frees up anything inside it. so i am holding off fixing it for a bit.
  22. one of the large MPLS auction places is like 2 miles from my house. I should see if they open to the public. If not, maybe i can get a job there...LOL
  23. i'm convinced that employment for the masses is just a plot for parking ramp owners to make money.......

    P90X

a buddy borrowed me his P90x dvd's. they have been sitting on my shelf for a couple months. i've been wondering if i should try it out. i wouldn't mind getting ripped. its just so much work......
  25. people don't get it. the srx WAS a great vehicle dynamically. however, women didn't like it (men didn't either) and it got its ass handed to it on the sales charts. this vehicle was not intended to be the SRX when it started but then Caddy pulled the plug on the wagon SRX and kept the moniker on this. the vehicle now has a feature set that will allow it more sales volume and be able to take sales away from competition. Prev SRX could do neither. Most SRX you see previously of recent vintage is low mile one year olds for cut prices which implies to me that they couldnt move them on the sales floor and they prob became rentals or corporate vehicles. Caddy could fix the issue with this thing with a SS type suspension job and a twin turbo 3.6. My vote would have been to develop a rakish new look like this new one, on sigma, and keep the third row, but oh well. caddy needs to sell to to women and this is the cadillac for women. no one was buying the old SRX.
